I always spring for the lemongrass on when I can because it's sublime. That's what I did that time and it was just as I remembered. Jenny did my pedicure today. Just as lovely as I remembered her. Amy...Amy is just the best. I developed an allergy to one of the ingredients that are in the dip nails that I'd been doing for years. Gotta love a random adult onset allergy. Anyway, today I asked Amy about the gel builder. That's what my sister does now. I asked if I could pay a little money to have her do it on one finger so I could see if I would have an allergic reaction and she did. It's many hours later and I'm good as gold so far. She said give it 2 week but honestly? I do not want to wait that long I'll be good and wait, I guess. I love that the techs know my name, they ask about my family or updates on things we talked about last time and in addition to being lovely people, they do incredible work. Literal artists in my opinion. Love that there aren't TVs in there. It is so relaxing. I did t do anything fancy with my pedicure today but it looks so great. Can't wait to have Amy or Jenny do my fingernails!!

She absolutely nailed it. You cannot even tell which one is the fake nail & the shape transition is so good! I hadn't tried this particular pedi before and it did not disappoint! The smell was wonderful and it included hot stones, paraffin and a massage! We did a design on my toes and it's so beautiful! Thank you for another wonderful experience! Each of the last three manicures I had included no cuticle prep. They just filed the nail plate down, put on the dehydrator, and did the dip. My actual nails were completely ruined in the process. I have strong nails that I take care of, but after the last few manicures I was left with extremely thin, weak nails. I actually had to take SIX WEEKS off of having anything on my nails so that I could grow them back out. That's how bad of shape my nails were left in. My biggest complaint is that, after coming here for over a year regularly, Jimmy didn't even know my name. He stamped my final punch card entry and it seemed like he had this moment of realization that he had no idea what my name is. Not going to lie - it stung! I got my bridal nails done here! I brought my friends here! I told my patients about this place (I'm a chiropractor - people look at my hands constantly)! And the guy I talk to every visit didn't even know my name. HA!

I visited early Saturday afternoon and was surprised that the salon was not very busy. Since it was my first visit, I told him I was new. He asked me to choose a pedicure, and I selected the Pomelo Pedicure. He then directed me to a book to choose a color. Because the selection appeared limited, I asked whether those were the only colors available. He replied that they were the dip-powder colors, although I had never requested dip powder. After I clarified that I wanted regular polish, he directed me to another display. I was surprised to find several nearly empty or dried-out bottles, which made choosing a color difficult. I was then directed to a chair, where my technician noticed nail dust covering the seat and adjoining table from a previous service. She wiped the area with a towel before I sat down. My pedicure was okay, but it felt rushed and did not seem to include everything I remembered from the Pomelo Pedicure description. When I received my ticket at the end of my service, I realized I had been given and charged for the less-expensive Express Pedicure instead. I mentioned it to the associate who checked me out, but I am unsure whether she understood my concern, so I decided not to pursue it further. On the positive side, I now know the Express Pedicure would be a convenient option when I am short on time. I am willing to give this salon another try to determine whether this experience was an exception or the usual standard.

The girl Helen asked me if I wanted to remove my current ones... I said sure why not (as they were a little beat up). I had both Helen and another gentleman take my nails off and they were so considerate about pain. They kept checking in and making sure nothing hurt. Once removed Helen took great care in getting them all cleaned and tidied up. I will admit I wondered why she was being so slow, but it was all worth it in the end. She put my tips on and was about to start the powder when she pulled out a small jar and applied a more white looking powder in only certain areas. I asked her what this was for, to which she replied, "this helps make it so the lines are not as noticeable from your nail bed." I was shocked, with all my prior pampering I've never had someone do this before. After all was said and done and my nails were perfect, both length and thickness, it was to my surprise I only paid $38 dollars. (I did do pearl tips and not powder) I was impressed and will return! My mom was upfront with him right from the start about her nail sensitivity--She gave him a clear heads-up so he would know to handle her hands with extra care. Instead of showing an ounce of empathy or adjusting his technique, he rushed through, caused her unnecessary pain, and didn't even deliver the service she asked for. Worse, while my mom sat there quietly trying to push through the appointment, Peter actively mocked her discomfort saying, "Are you crying, are you going to cry?" "Maybe you should take a pill next time." "This is good training for your nails." Bullying a client who took the time to disclose a physical sensitivity is unacceptable. When I brought his behavior to the front desk, management didn't care at all--offering zero accountability, zero apology, and complete indifference. If this salon thinks it's acceptable for their staff to humiliate paying customers while management looks the other way, they need a serious lesson in standard business ethics.
