The service was terrible, and the employees were extremely rude. My nails looked nothing like the inspiration photo I showed them--honestly, they looked like they were done by a child. When I politely pointed this out, the man doing my nails insisted they looked exactly like the picture, and the other employees backed him up without even comparing. He then yelled at me, accusing me of wasting his time. When I asked him to just leave the nails plain, he handled my hands roughly and clearly with anger. I left feeling upset and disrespected. I will absolutely never return. I never experienced customer service like this before. read more

Truthfully not a good pedicure. The woman who serviced me spent no time speaking to me unless it was to insult me about various things, my nails being long, or that I had something under one of my nails (God forbid a girl works and works out), otherwise didn't speak to me at all. Seemed more interested in the person who walked in after me who was friends with the staff than me. When she massaged me so seemed less than interested and almost aggressive when doing so, put the hot towels on my legs and shortly after hurried me out. Overall not a good experience and wouldn't come back. read more

I had been looking for a place in San Antonio since I moved and tried several but this is my favorite. The people are nice, good service and great prices. I do dipped nail and the should last at least 2 weeks, here after 3 weeks still looking great. read more

Made an appointment on Saturday for Sunday at 2:15 pm and gave her my name. Sat in pedicure chair for 45 minutes on Sunday and walked out at 3:00 pm. Making an appointment here means nothing to them. no communication to me at all while I was waiting. BEWARE! read more

Just got back in my car and took these photos because I was so embarrassed by how bad my nail service was. They can't even be fixed because I asked for them to be short yes. But the shape is wrong I asked for super square. And almost every nail is a different shape and size. That's just the beginning. There is something wrong with almost every nail. Even the paint job was horrible. There are some nails that are rounded off on one end and squared off on the other end OF THE SAME NAIL! Some nails had huge acrylic lumps in them. I just don't get it. I have NEVER and I mean never (even my first set at 15 years old) have I had this bad of a nail set. NEVER CHEAT ON YOUR NAIL TECHS. I would never ever come back here again. I have to wait it out a little for some growth to go back to my nail tech. read more

Brought my 6 year old to get a pedicure and lady was very rude when she messed up one of her nails. Threw her lap towel on the chair. What do you expect from a child. Very unprofessional wth kids. read more

This is the best nail salon I have been to in all of San Antonio! Every manicurist is talented, kind and friendly. The salon is clean and well maintained. Every person that works here is friendly and makes you feel very welcomed. I have been very impressed with the quality of my manicure and pedicure every time I've come here! I highly recommend this place! read more

This was my first visit and I will most definitely be back. Danny did an excellent job and is a perfectionist in his work, but was still very quick. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes with dip/powder color removal, shape and trim, and new dip/powder color applied. Which was great for me, as I'm not patient enough to sit there for an hour +! Price was $45, not including tip... pretty standard for this service. Very happy with Tip Top Nails! read more

This place is not fancy but it's great. The ladies are super sweet and there's complimentary drinks. They do a great job. I came in late, about 30 mins before they closed, for a pedicure. They welcomed me in and didn't seem annoyed that I showed up near closing time. They lady who worked on my feet did a great massage. Well with it. read more

Great service. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The only downside is there wasn't a huge color selection for polish.

This is my place to go to for pedicures. First of all, they are all very nice, courteous and the place is clean. It can get busy at times and I have been able to go when its not busy. Their prices are reasonable and they have always done a great job. read more

Tip Top Nails - Selection of colors - Nail Salons Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Walk ins welcome- and they do well at fitting you in while not rushing through anything. My only complaint would be the nail polish colors, while they seem to have a lot of colors, some of them aren't very new and look as though they have has polish thinner added one too many times. No problem for me because I typically bring my own polish so that I know it is fresh. Just FYI Get a good pedicure for a great price and they serve wine, soda or bottled water on request. read more

Decent enough customer service. I was in a hurry, after I left, later that evening I noticed how unequal my nails were filed, my hand hand was filed more rounded and my left hand was more square. The amount of acrylic on my left hand looks thicker and the nail polish is uneven. Not impressed, I won't be going back. read more

BEWARE GEL/SHELLAC nail patrons! Would you have an MRI if you saw the machine was held together by tape? Would you have dental work done if his/her equipment was held together by tape? Why would you allow your nails to be put under an ultraviolet machine held together by tape? I heard all sorts of excuses, but tape does not belong on the ultraviolet machines and I will not return. read more

Lol so I went to visit my SIL (Im from Dallas) this past weekend she wanted to go to the nail salon (she's a reg here). I agreed to going, thinking I'd give it a second chance. We both asked for the same pedicure. However for some reason mine did not come w a massage or anything that my SIL received. When I realized the guy doing my nails was done I was surprised and quite disappointed. My SIL received great service but I guess unless you're a regular they don't care to make it a good experience for the customer. Next time I'm in town I will make sure we don't go to this location! read more

Poor quality, unwelcoming staff, not a wide selection of colors. It was 45 min before they closed with 2 staff members sitting with no customers and told me they were too busy for 1 manicure. Chubby face, round Asian female is the most rude. I have been before and she rushes work. read more

The lady did a super good job and spent a long time cleaning up my nails, longer than any other mani/pedi that I have had. Thanks!

My sister and I needed a well deserved break so decided pedicure it is!! Dilema! Where to go??? Googled nail places near me."Tip Top Nails" we called to make an appt. We were there in 15 minutes, Ruby and Peter gave us the best pedicure! We will definitely be back!! read more

I've been to Tip Top Nail 3 times now. I've been very impressed each time, and I've now deemed it my go to nail salon. I usually get a pedicure as well as a shellac manicure. There are two distinguishing factors why I love this place so much. First, they do not skimp on the foot rub. As this is my hands down favorite part of the full treatment, I appreciate that they give the customer quality service and time. Second and most importantly, the shellac lasts. I am talking upwards of 3-4 weeks. That is a game changer for me! Overall, it is perfect place to be pampered. read more

Adequate for a pedicure. Place really feels like a hole in the wall. You are very close to the person next to you. There's no ambiance, unless you like random blue walls and fluorescent lightening. The pedicure was good and I was pleased, but given competition with places that provide a sense of luxury at the same price or less, I don't know if I'll be back. read more

Great place for a little mother daughter time. Staff is VERY friendly and they did a great job with the nails too. Will return here!

The friendliest nail salon I have ever been too! Everyone is so nice, and professional. Also the best pedicure I've had in a long time. I have definitely found my new place for nails and toes:) read more

Just got here and I already love it! Just moved from Las Vegas so I stressed trying to find a place to get my nails done that was similar to what I was used to at home. This place is conveniently across the street from where I live and I had one bad experience from another nail salon here (A La Mode Nails). But I walked into tip top and they were so friendly! Not to mention when I called to make the appt they were easy to talk to and happy to take me in. They have a great selection of nude Gel colors which is what I was looking for. And very attentive. AND THERE IS COMPLIMENTARY WINE! I'm sitting in the pedicure chair as we speak so I will let you know how my nails turn out with a pic too! read more

I love this place I've been seeing Lucy for like 15 years. They are so friendly and it is always very clean and sanitized.

Bad customer service here. I got my nails done before my engagement photos, they were supposed to be matching polish for toes and hands, but the color was off. I kept telling them that the shellac they were using was not of the matching set because it was so much lighter than my toes. They painted 2 different shellac colors on top of one another to try and match my toes. So, it left me with uneven clumpy nails. I would have asked them to redo them that second but I had to get back to work. I figured I could go back the very next day and have them just redo my hands...but turns out they will not fix your nails if you aren't satisfied. I went back the very next day to ask if they could redo my shellac so that it could look more presentable. One of the men was very rude and said "NO that it would be too much work", his tone was extremely unacceptable, I tried to be nice and explained that I normally would not be picky, but given the circumstances, I would like them to redo them. The previous time I had gone, my nails were done perfectly, but the second time was terrible. I was so humiliated and I walked straight out. I couldn't believe he would talk to a customer like that in front of other clients waiting. Here customer service is not paramount and they could care less about the customer being happy and satisfied. I'd rather pay double to get a mani/pedi then to ever give them my hard earned money. Getting your nails done is not cheap and I expect to have pretty, clean, even nails for the price. read more

Never had a bad experience with Mani's or pedis . Super friendly and always accommodating.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star rating but yelp doesn't give that option. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever! I walked in and needed a new set put on and an old taken off. They said nothing about a wait, sat me down and soaked my nails....for 45 MIN!! no one talked to me the entire time. The nail tech took care of two other ppl before me and also told 3 other ppl who walked in that he would be with them in 20 min. I finally decided I had enough and told an employee I needed to go. They tried to bribe me to stay by offering no charge for the new set and begged me to take their offer for several min. When it was finally clear that I was not going to change my mind, they told me I owed $10 for the removal of the old set. I will NEVER return here for any service. read more
