This Filipino kamayan place serves various items on a big banana leaf, with a free flow of garlic rice. You don't get a choice of items but in return for giving up your autonomy you get many items for $25. Not everything was good and the portion wasn't huge but the variety was good and some items were good. They get 3.5 stars. Pork bbq stick & grilled pork were excellent. Milkfish was good - it was easy to eat with no bones, though on the saltier side. The vegetables were very plain & the squid & shrimp were alright. The garlic rice was quite fragrant but the flavour was less strong than it used to be.

I went here as a party of 4 with friends to try the kamayan feast here. This place was recommended by a friend from Toronto who said this is one of her favorites, so I do have to try it out. Reservations were easy to make even for large groups, but it is still recommended since the place is really small, at least in this original 31 Howard location. We also added pork lumpia and banana turon on top of it, which is not really necessary since the feast itself is really filling in itself. The feast consisted of milkfish, tilapia, squid, shrimp, mussel, pork belly, pork skewer, okra, eggplant, mango salad, orange slices, and most importantly, garlic rice. I have had a similar kamayan feast setup in NYC not too long ago that was really disappointing, so I am glad to try it again and had a nice experience for like 1/3 of the price here. The garlic rice is on point - very garlicky and al dente. I love the milkfish, pork skewer, and squid in the feast, but the rest of the meats were also really solid. The other vegetables are not really my thing, but they still pair well with the order. Lumpia is crispy so excellent, and the banana turon satiated me as a dessert. Service could be improved as barely anyone walks around or sees the dining area, but it doesn't dismiss this as a 5 star restaurant due to the quality of food.

Just had to try the Kamayan ($25)! Came by to pickup lunch, definitely will be back to try dining in. The kamayan comes with milkfish, tilapia, squid, shrimp, mussel, pork belly, pork skewers, okra, eggplant, mango salad, and garlic rice - mhmmm the garlic rice was *chefs kiss*. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The server was very friendly, and handed us our takeout boxes with care. I adore the decor of the interior, would love to dine-in next time.

Kamayan is such a fun meal to enjoy with a large group as it's laid out in front of you and you eat with your hands! I've been coming to Tinuno for years and at $25 per person, it's quite reasonable for what you're getting. I usually try to make a reservation, especially with a larger group, as the restaurant isn't that big and can fill up quickly. What we got: - Kamayan Feast (Tilapia, Milk fish, Squid, Pork Belly, Pork Skewers, Shrimp, Mussels, Okra, Eggplant, on Garlic Rice and with a side Mango Salad) Final Thoughts: Super fun meal that has a good variety and you can eat your fill as the mango salad and garlic rice are also refillable. It can get messy, but there are gloves for you to use if you like. Still a favourite spot of mine and i'll be back!

One of my favorite places for kamayan feast!!! Tinuno is a hidden gem in Toronto, offering an authentic Filipino dining experience that's both delicious and fun. The Kamayan feast is a must-try, with a generous spread of savory meats, fresh seafood, and an endless supply of garlic rice. The communal style of eating adds to the experience, making it perfect for sharing with friends and family. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is lively and inviting. Whether you're a Filipino food lover or a curious newcomer, Tinuno is definitely worth a visit. Pro tip: Come hungry!

I don't really go to a lit of Filipino restaurants simply because I grew up eating quality Filipino food. I had a few friends visit me here and they wanted to try boodle fight. My expectations were not high but for $25 each person, this was so worth it!! I wouldn't order anything else on the menu because you get a lot of food already and unlimited rice. I'd definitely bring a couple of people with you but not more than 5 cause there's not much space. The staff is much like any other Filipinos you meet, very hospitable and friendly. Dig in!

My first time trying kamayan or boodle fight. Everything was pretty good except the fish was a little over-cooked and dry. The garlic rice was amazing. The calamansi juice was super good and refreshing on a hot day. This is a foodie place, great for meeting up with a group of friends, but not romantic. If you are going for the kamayan, the more the merrier. Good service. we went early on a Friday night, no reservations, and didn't have to wait, but, it filled up fast.

Inspired by my sister who was the first to tell me about the Kamayan feast that she had at a friend's house. I didn't even know a restaurant like this existed and so happy that Yelp was able to help me find one. We had reservations at 6:45pm for 3 with my coworkers who were happy to indulge in my eating escapades. We got there and we already knew that we were going to get the Kamayan feast and the pork lumpias. We also added the lechon roasted pork. Everything was delicious! There were a couple types of fish, squid, shrimp, mussels, grilled pork and barbecue pork, okra, eggplant. The garlic rice is so addictive. it was impressive that we practically finished everything. The only complaint is that the service was hard to come by.

Ordered the Kamayan-style set with a friend and since it was just the 2 of us, we chose the milkfish. I really loved this experience because I got to eat with my hands LOL gloves are provided. The food was delicious but some were a bit burnt like the milkfish. It was a lot of food for 2 people and other reviewers mentioned there is unlimited garlic rice but this was not known for my party. Tinuno is a really small establishment and kind of a hole in the wall. I feel like there weren't really any tourists eating here - mostly locals. Took a star off because there was a very rude server who made eye contact with my party several times but purposely ignored our requests - such as taking our order, refilling our water, etc. She walked around with rbf lol

An amazing restaurant with fast service and now that they remodelled a pretty cute interior this was my first trying kamayan barbeque and I can't wait to come back and try other places. I was really impressed by the portions and at $25 it's amazing value.

If you've never had Filipino food this place is will make you fall in love. Me and my partner enjoyed everything. Line ups were quick and service was served in a timely manner. Price wise, it's $27 per person if you order their Kamayan and $25 each person 2 and up. Food was generous and made fresh. It's not a big place but big enough to feel it's not cramped. This will be my goto place when I'm craving for some Filipino food! Side note: there's no utensils so you eat with your hands (gloves provided) 4.5/5

Double date night! Haven't been to tinuno before but I have been to other Filipino restaurants in the past. This location is tucked away on Howard street just outside of sherborne station. Small, cozy place, lots of take out orders as well. The staff were very nice. We ordered the kamayan dinner and it was delicious! I love the layout of the meal. Definitely will come back again!

Brought my non-Filipino friend & she loved it especially the onion fried rice. She like the ideas of eating with hands and it was fun for her. It's $25 per person and no split bills. Place is small, so if it's busy, u I've to wait.

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

I stopped by Kream after seeing all the hype on Instagram about the famous Korean "Dubai…read morechocolate." When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!
