I went with a half chicken plate, which came with two sides. I went with tater tots and mac and cheese. I did ask for the Mac and cheese was homemade and I was told that it was. My food was ready quick enough and brought out by another friendly woman. I expected the tater tots to be store bought and they were, but they were done nicely. The mac and cheese was decent enough. The half chicken was very good. It was fall off the bone tender. The whole meal with a large iced tea before tip was seventeen and change (tax included). I tossed around the store of either four or five stars and will upgrade to five stars because the other options at this exit were fast food and this was a good choice and the people were so friendly.

A bertolone's original, this delicious dish boasts chunks of Italian sausage, a creamy, cheesy sauce, and turnip greens. Rich and satisfying, it can't be missed!! The tables are stocked with chunks of bread and bottles of dipping sauce made onsite. Each item has some form of "hit" in the name - slappin', crackin', slammin', and more. I ended up with the "Bussin' Burger" and a side of fries to go (since I was heading back to work). The food is cooked upon ordering, so my meal was nice and hot when I left. And I am here to tell you, the name of the burger was totally accurate!
