We ate at Bones Backstreet BBQ in Jemison while staying overnight at a nearby RV park, and it was a delightful stop. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. In fact, we commented that we could not remember eating at a restaurant that was so spotless. The food was excellent as well. I had the pulled pork dinner with okra and corn nuggets, and my wife had the BBQ stuffed baked potato. Everything was delicious. Service was very good and they checked on us often enough but weren't overbearing. We highly recommend Bones Backstreet BBQ and would gladly eat there again if we are ever passing through Jemison at meal time. read more

That being said...when it comes to eating and experiencing different foods and especially bbq (my personal favorite)this was a hole on the wall in every aspect. In my 32 years of trucking,I've found those lil places to be the best. This restaurant fit that description perfectly. That being said,I made my choice simple. If you can't make a bbq sandwich properly,then I'm not interested in giving you a second chance. Well...me oh my!! This was a good place to show me their pride n joy. That being said,for 9$ I got an absolute explosion of flavor on a warm bun. Filled with just enough smoke on the pulled pork,and a hefty amount at that, it was actually amazing because they found a way to complement it with a few sour pickles and sweet coleslaw and a tangy amazing bbq sauce on the side to make this one of the best ever bbq sandwich's I've ever had anywhere in the USA. read more

Stopped here for lunch. The outside was a little worn, but the parking lot was full and the inside was quaint and cozy. The restrooms were clean and cute. Service was very fast and the food was great. My husband had the pulled pork barbecue sandwich and loved it. I had the large barbecue salad - also great. But warning - I am not a terribly light eater, but I took two-thirds of this salad home. It was HUGE! A bed of nice crispy lettuce, onion, chopped tomato, and cucumber slices topped with what must have been at least a half pound of pulled pork. Didn't use much of the ranch dressing I'd ordered because their house barbecue sauce was SO good. This place also offers local made pie, but we were too full to try any. read more

Traveling I-65 and found this little place on the map and decided to grab a quick bite. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it was delicious! Pleasant staff and a cute and clean interior added to the experience. The best burger and Philly cheesesteak we have had in a while! The chicken tenders were also really good. I had the half BBQ chicken plate with fried okra and coleslaw. The Chicken was 10/10. I don't know that I've ever had smoked chicken that juicy. The okra was good, but the coleslaw did have an overly sweet taste for my preference. It is mayonnaise based, which I prefer, but I had to add salt and extra mayo to balance out the sweetness. My boyfriend had the pork plate and he said it was delicious. He's pretty picky, so that says a lot. I would recommend this place for a quick and filling meal! read more

Stopped in on my way back to Tuscaloosa. Food was excellent!! And prices are very reasonable!

Staff very nice but it took an hour to get our food and the ribs seem to have been boiled prior to cooking. No deep smoke taste. The building was very nice inside and the large TV made the wait a little Less painful. read more

We visited this place and it was not the best experience, they do not have brisket or sausage on the menu. I asked for BBQ chicken on the potato and they said you can't have that unless you but the chicken as a plate, only grilled for the potato. Food was average menu very limited. read more
