Went through and ordered a pork sandwich and man not only was it moist and tender and tasty it was huge. Really liked the sauce also.

When it came to BBQ Stuffed Potatoes this was my favorite local go to place until now. In the past I have called multiple times at different times and they were always out. Well to my surprise they had some today. I always like to get just my cheese on the side so it doesn't get too melted. When I made it home and opened the box the potato is the size of the ones you get from a 5 lb bag and no bacon bits. I called them inquiring about the size and was told by a young girl "that's is what we were giving to sell and it is nothing that can be done about it" ok thank you ma'am I stand corrected. If you are going to cut your potatoes in half do the same with your prices. Please inform your customers before taking their order that your are now getting your produce from Walmart which has caused a decrease in the your portions of your vegetables. Food tasty! Very large portions! My large pulled pork sandwich contained probably a half pound of meat. The sides were huge and especially for the price! Sweet potato fries were like a dessert. Nice window service also. read more

Smokey T's might not look like much but they have great bbq sandwiches. Take my advice and ask for extra sauce. They have a pretty impressive range of options on their menu. They have the best grilled chicken and great burgers. If you want a real treat order the sweet potato fries with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Check out their Brunswick Stew in the Winter months. It's wonderful. There is a small seating area inside. It's a homey little area. Most of their business is to go. Take my advice and order ahead by phone. Their drive thru has no speaker, just one window to order and pay. It can get pretty backed up but the food is worth it. read more

Solid Bbq joint. Small space, only a few tables inside. Simple menu with just about what you'd expect from a bbq joint. Nothing fancy or over the top, just good solid food and prices that are really good. I had a pork plate with 2 sides and a large drink and the total came to under 11 bucks. That's really hard to beat. The portions were good, and the food wasn't too bad at all. Friendly crew greeting each customer as they come and go, and a nice clean restaurant which is always good to see. Drive thru window if you wanna call in an order and pick it up without getting out of the car. Overall for the money this place should be hard to beat. Most fast food places will hit you for 10 bucks if you get a meal and a large drink. You'd do a lot better to stop here instead and eat some real food. read more

The service was great. This is a little hole in the wall that sells mostly take out. Inside had two seats and 4 at a bar. Inside, the place is clean and people are working hard. It was almost closing time but they allowed us to eat inside. I ordered a large BBQ pulled pork sandwich, baked beans and fried okra. My bother had fried chicken tenders, corn nuggets. My sandwich was huge and packed with meat. Perhaps a medium one next time. The pork was so good that I had leftovers for breakfast. Chicken fingers were crunchy and juicy! They bread them there. Corn nuggets and okra was from a bag but well done! We had tried to go across the street to another restaurant that was packed with an hour wait. I spotted this little divvey place and Yelpers did not let me down. This is individually owned and I enjoyed the meal and the leftovers! read more

Smokey T's is a great little BBQ Restaurant. The BBQ Pork is always fresh and delicious and their sauce is great! The service is great and the employees are friendly. They have a small seating area however most of their business is take out. You'll need to call ahead because they don't have a menu board outside, just a pick up window. You can order there but you'll have to wait longer if you don't call in your order first. They also make terrific cheeseburgers and their catfish plate is to die for. They have delicious potato wedges and fantastic sweet potato fries with butter and cinnamon. They also have wonderful hamburger steak plates that come with or without gravy, onions, mushrooms and cheese as well as fries and a great little salad and a roll! Wow wow wow best ribs i have had in the area. Moiste good flavor awesome. The cole slaw was ok potatoe salad was good the beans needed some onion bell pepper conecah sausage and cooked overnight. But the ribs make this 5 stars the service was nice pleasant people thet have tea lemonade pepsi product. No wokacola. The dining area was decorated nicely and quaint For me. We recently went to a barbecue place that was touted 'best in Alabama' in a handful of its reviews, but had hit this little place several months back when we were out on a ride on our rykers, this place may be small but as far as food goes, and service goes, you really can't beat it. They aren't stingy with their sides, even with what I consider a fairly big takeaway order, not one thing was missed (4 entrees, 10 sides). Just as courteous on the phone as they were for eating in. We will be back and we hope lots more recognize just how good you are :) read more

BBQ is always good. But, had the chicken fingers today and was not impressed at all due to the grease. You have to drain your fried foods! The fingers were soggy and I couldn't eat them just bad with all the grease. If they would have taken a couple extra minutes to let them drain it would have been alright to eat. So no more ordering chicken fingers for me. I will stick to bbq or a hot hamburger. read more

Went strawberry picking with family in Clanton from Birmingham. Stopped by to try a local restaurant. Outstanding cheeseburgers! One of the best I've had. Definitely stop by again if in the area. read more

My friends and I were in there this past weekend. The BBQ sandwich was very good and the sweet potato fries were awesome, best I've ever had. On the downside, the girl taking our order was less than friendly. There were 2 ladies and a small child (approx 3 yrs old) came in. They allowed the child to play game so loud that we couldn't hear each other talking and the ladies began talking louder. There was another couple eating also and came by our table and told us they were leaving without finishing their meal. They were just as annoyed as we were. If the manager/owner had been there to ask if they would please turn the volume down, it would have been a much better experience. This is the reason I'm giving only 3 stars. RSG read more

Normally I love this place but the past two times I've been there, there has been a female employee working the front that has made it a bad experience. A few weeks ago I ordered a larger lunch order and gave them well over the estimated time and still had to wait another 30 minutes. She took almost 10 minutes to acknowledge I was there. They were not that busy when I first got there. Then she was very rude to me. I shrugged it off and left after almost 45 minutes of waiting on the pre-ordered food. Went there today and the same girl is there and guess what....had to wait 40 minutes for my baked potato. Asked for no bacon, got extra bacon that I'm sure I was charged for. Wouldn't know, didn't get a receipt.....idk if this girl is new and didn't get trained very well or what, but she needs to be accompanied on shift. read more

I'm from Decatur, AL where we have the BEST Brunswick stew at Big Bob Gibson's BBQ. A friend of mine mentioned she went and got some today and with me just moving here I had to google BBQ places to get some myself. So I drive 15 miles to this place and order some stew.. back home the stew is FULL of meat and veggies and they keep the juice to a minimum so it's good and hearty. Well I ordered the biggest one they had bc I was thinking I could eat it for lunch and dinner, like I would back home. Wrong! I got home and opened the container and it's half juice, half veggies (if that, it barely filled my bowl half way) and had NO MEAT!!!! Maybe a few strands but not even enough to notice. I'm so disappointed. I will not be back. Didn't try any other food they have so I can't comment on that but if you're looking for a good hearty stew this is not the place to go. I've added a picture of my bowl of veggies in a normal size bowl with crackers. That was all I had after straining at least 2 cups of juice. read more
