A great stop when on a road trip - places to air the kids out, a very cool little playground with climbing and swings is hidden behind the place (go up the hill) and my kids claim they have *very* generous portions of ice cream. Chicken Salad is amazing, a typical southern chicken salad with sweet pickles and egg, the bread is nice and thick and fluffy. The congealed peach salad is delicious as well. The bathrooms are very clean here, the food is great. You can see the peach pies and peach cobblers being made. Everyone here was extremely nice and politely mannered. Peach Park is a staple for the state of Alabama. It had been a while since I visited and decided to stop since I was in the area. They provide a good one stop location with everything from a boutique to jams. I had the brisket fries for lunch which was ok but nothing to shout about. We stopped here for lunch on the way back from Montgomery. It was 1130 and the place was already packed! The BBQ line moved impressively fast. I got the small order of rib with fried okra and hash brown casserole. Everything was really good. I wish I had room for that peach ice cream, but will have to catch that next time. I also found some great produce in their market. We took home a basket of peaches, some papayas and some peppers. I also recommend their deep fried peanuts. You can eat the whole she'll. They have local fruit, freshly made ice cream fresh barbecue, as well as a nice little nature trail to stretch your legs on your trips. It was a special six month bday for a very special girl so we had to celebrate with some peach ice cream. I love this place. It is the definition of a tourist trap and that's what the people need!! First of all there's a giant peach beside the restaurant, which is hilarious. They have a ton of cute set ups for kids and my busy boy stayed busy the entire time we visited playing and climbing. The playground was super adorable. It had a full-size barn to play, a tire swing , and even an antique seesaw. What else could you ask for?! Well, maybe some good food. And they have it! If you live between Birmingham and Montgomery AL or between Nashville and the Beach this is a Hidden Gem of a rest stop! First stop when I get there are the restrooms, clean and they have paper towels to dry your hands. While you are by the restrooms check out the ladies peeling the peaches! On to lunch, I always get a half BBQ Chicken, ohhhh so good, moist fall off the bone with great flavor. Sides include baked beans (I add Onions from the area were the drinks are located) and I got the Onion Rings! So goood! As you can see they pile them on! My wife got the Pork BBQ, also very good! Wait... save room for dessert! Peach ice cream for me! If it is hot, I get a cone and a cup to put it in, because it can melt quickly on a hot day! They have seating inside, covered seating out side and uncovered seating outside. We sat in the covered outside and it was cool on a hot day. I have a dear friend who lived in Alabama while growing up. She gave me her list of places to try while traveling through Alabama on 65. We stopped at Peach Park with her recommendations. I love the atmosphere and the old timey store vibe. Everything was clean. I walked my dog out the back areas first and it was a really cute patio and park-like setting. There was a travel trailer down on the side yard, where they probably sell ice cream and cold refreshments during the warmer months. There was a huge peach out there too. It was 11:00 AM and here I am buying ice cream and pies! I got 3 different varieties of peach ice cream to try. The straight peach was amazing with large chunks of peach through out. The peach cheesecake was a great surprise and one I didn't even know I needed in my life. Big chunks of cheesecake and peaches in this one. The caramel peach ice cream was delicious also. You can't go wrong with any of them. It happens to be the tail end of peach season and they had several hundred pounds out for sale. I did not buy any peach fruit only because I knew I they would get damaged or forgotten on our road trip to Pensacola. They also had a variety of tomatoes, corn and a slew of other produce out for sale. A few I'd never even heard of! They had Muscadine and Scuppernogs for sale. I'm still kicking myself that I didn't get some, just to try a new fruit. I did also get 2 fried pies while at Peach Park. We waited until we got into our rental that night to try the fried pie. We split one, as they are quite large. We ate this one cold. I like the crust a lot. I was not a fan of the peach pie filling. It had a thick consistency that maybe they got carried away with thickener (flour or cornstarch, I couldn't be sure - maybe a combo of both) but it gave a very thick texture that just didn't satisfy me. I told my husband I didn't think I had ever met a peach pie I didn't like, until now. I was bummed. There was still one pie left in the fridge and I warmed that one up in the oven for a bit to see if that would help with the paste like texture. It didn't. The crust is great, nice texture, great flavor with a nice flake. But that filling wasn't for me. I really wanted to love it, I just couldn't even taste the peach over the thickener. I'll go back again and I will get the ice cream again for sure! I'll probably skip the fried peach pie next time and try something else. They have plenty of options. People are everywhere. It is literally a 30-45 min wait in the fresh dessert line, ice cream or cobbler. And, YES, folks waiting. Fresh farm items are everywhere. More park than peach. I have passed by this place too many times to count over the years and finally decided to check them out. What I expected was to find "all things peaches", but that is t the case. Now, don't get me wrong; there are lots of peach based items there. However, for the most part, it's just a big touristy type spot for fun food items and icy treats. There's bbg, cobbler, cakes and ice cream. I tried the blackberry cobbler, which was super tasty. I also tried the peach cheesecake ice cream. I tried it first and wasn't too impressed. The ice cream seemed to be lacking sweetness and I couldn't taste the peaches. I always stop by for a quick good lunch. I always get one of two things. Rib plate or the chicken. Both are really good. Fried green tomatoes, baked beans, onion rings or Mac and cheese to name a few sides. It's always fast if you get ice cream second. Just walk around everyone to the food line and jump in. It's a pretty big place but sometimes hard to find seating if it's really busy. They have a park on top of the hill so the kids can play. There is a boutique also that has some nice things. My family and I made the trip to Peach park on a late Saturday afternoon. It was packed and this wasn't a surprise. I was pretty excited for this visit! I may have been the only excited one .... Truly excited one! I grabbed some fresh peaches for a friend of mine. I ended up with a couple of things for myself. I tried the pork sandwich and onions rings. This isn't what I originally wanted but they were out of the filet tips and gravy. The pork was a little dry but I really like the variations in bbq sauce available. The hot bbq sauce was my favorite, along with the pickles. My side was onion rings which had a nice flavor but weren't hot enough... kind of lukewarm. 6/10 Now dessert was 10/10!!!! Why? Fried peach pie and peach ice cream. I didn't eat the two together because that would have been too much. I enjoyed my ice cream right away and took the fried pie home to tear into later that evening. The pie was HUGE(See pics) I honestly ate off of it like 3 times. It was fried up crispy and filled with warm , fresh peachy goodness!!! Definitely the highlight of the trip out to Peach Park! All of the staff were nice and the service was fast. Peach Park in Clanton AL is a mandatory stop along I-65. Famous for Peach Cobbler, Fried Pies, and Peach Ice Cream. The Peach Ice Cream with chunks of peaches was worth the stop. Be aware: while the food items were delightful, don't know how this place passes food or safety inspection. Dirty in places, broken glass partition over the food serving area, and debris on the premises visible to customers. Looks like soon to shut down. I love peaches. On our way home from vacation, decided to stop for the first time. They "place" is great! For my wife and I it was the "people" that will keep us from stopping again. Our visit was 8/9/24 around 5:30pm. When you go in to the main store, it's a great setup with lots to do and checkout. Plenty of hang out areas. This review will focus on the staff located in the boutique, bakery and ice cream room. If you have to open a door to enter, aside from the dining area with the white picnic tables, BEWARE of the most stuck up, unfriendly staff you can encounter. In the Boutique, my wife was the only shopper. The staff never greeted her and was so cold my wife put items down rather than purchase them. In the bakery same thing, no greeting. The silence of being the only customer in the room was off putting to say the least. The icing on the cake was walking into the ice cream room. Two girls, one brown hair, one Blonde hair, tons of makeup, could not have been displayed a worse attitude. It felt like they didn't want to be there and serving customers was not on their to do list. It's our first time and they kept prodding us.."do you know what you want yet?" Over and over. We were letting everyone who came in go before us as we made up our minds. I really wanted cobbler and they were almost out except for one small corner piece where there was little crust and looked dried out. I asked if they were going to put more out. The brown headed girl said we're not allowed to put any new cobbler out until this one is all gone. So I just got ice cream. Later I walk into the dining area which is connected to the ice cream line and there is a half of the peach cobbler. The ice cream girl never told us that they could check or that we could get cobbler if we walked around the corner. Also, when my wife ordered her ice cream the girl started scoops mg the wrong ice cream. She said "you told me you wanted this". She was very aggravated. I brought it to her attention with a smile that from our side the labels were opposite. There was no expression, not "oh no, sorry about that". Just cold with no personality. It truly was like they did not want to be there and they did not like people. It's my understanding that their positions are part of the very few that can get tips. If this is what gives them the entitled attitude, it needs to go!! To the owner: The staff in the areas mentioned above do not belong in those positions. They literally ruined the entire experience. Other shoppers said they feel the same way and know many others who have complained. My wife NEVER complains but she couldn't get over the feeling of those workers looking down on her for some reason. Positive: once I finally got it, the cobbler was good. Ice cream was just ok. The only saving grace for this place was the front service staff who were awesome! Autumn helped me with my peach purchase and was so friendly, along with her male coworker. I hung out a bit and they greeted every customer with a smile. If they don't already, they should be working in the tipped positions!!! read more

Well, I'd say this is a MUST STOP. My mom and I just stopped there recently on the way down to the beach. They have a very, very nice outdoor area. They have eating places inside and outside on a very nice covered porch. There is a manmade water feature outside the backs up to the indoor eating area. They have really neat walking paths...so you can stretch your legs well when you stop. They have an entire kids' area up the hill that had a lighthouse and a barn that has slides on it. I just thought the outdoor area was really neat. You under the tree canopy for most all of it...so it's comfortable in the heat. They sell lots of stuff -- fried fruit pies, ice cream, clothes, shoes, gifts, fresh produce, jarred foods, tons of cakes and pies...and so much more. I just loved it there. And the peach ice cream was spot on! Personally, I found the fried peach pie that I bought there to not be the real deal, though. It seemed to be made with pie filling instead of dried peaches. :-( So I wouldn't get that again. But the ice cream was very good...as was the fresh produce.
