I just moved to the area and was so excited for a pie shop and could not wait to see the pie fridges. They staff was so friendly, I got little pigs which were hot and great! I was hoping for more of a coffee house selection instead of just black coffee but they had creamers and everything you needed to fix it up. I got the pecan pie and white chocolate pecan pie. The white chocolate didn't even make it home. It was soooo good. I wish I had gone back for me. read more

Mike bakes some amazingly delicious pies! His latest Coconut is very tasty. He bakes a variety of baked desserts! You also have the opportunity to sample from the refrigerated display case just inside the doors which is open all the time even though the store may be closed. read more

This is a rare gem!! We stopped n to get some coffee and found the best place in Clanton for pie..... but their coffee is AMAZING!! Truly will make this our 2-3 time a week place to get a delicious cup of coffee... ok, 2-3 cups to be honest! The pies are delicious as well, we tried 3 different kinds today and brought a 4th pie home. I've worked for starbucks, been to every coffee store in Clanton and can honestly say I haven't found anything close to their Signature blend! Strawberry Crème, Toll House Pie and triple chocolate was the pies we tried and ohhhh baby were they great!!! We brought home a Reese's pie! Mike is a real person and spent time talking with us today! What a great guy, his helper today was Anna and we were blessed by their southern hospitality for sure!! Make this a for-sure stop when you're near Clanton, Alabama!! read more

Wow....I don't even typically like pie, but these are some of the best pies I've ever had. I'm much more of a cake, ice cream, cookie, cheesecake, etc. kind of sweet tooth. I guess that's pretty much every dessert but pie. Usually with pies the only kind I eat are the key lime or coconut kind filled with lots of whipped cream. The Toll House pie I had from this place surprised me so much! It had delicious chocolate in the filling and the entire crust was amazing. Well done! I should have known a company that specifies pies in their name should have the best pies. I can confirm they are telling the truth! read more

AMAZING!! It's worth the stop from out of town! I had the toll house and husband had the pinnaple cream pie! I only was going to eat a bite and save it and I couldn't help but eat the whole thing in literally 5 seconds. Soooo awesome!! Melt in your mouth!! Just GO and thank me later. Sweetest people ever! The breakfast bacon pie was so moist, buttery and delicious! Coffee with creamer bar hit the spot too! Will be back to try that fudge pie, and one of everything else! Take the turn it's less than 3 miles from the exit and worth it! read more

This is a great place for breakfast or just pie and coffee. The owners are this lovely couple who are the kindest people you ever met. Pies here are awesome and some really new flavors for you to try. They also give back to the community, they sold pies just last Saturday to raise money for abused children. So pop in and say hi and buy a pie, you will be glad you did. read more

Established in 2014.

Pies By Mike started in November 2014 and operated out of Mike's home until April 2018, when he started baking for restaurants and opening to the public on Wednesday mornings, offering breakfast pies, along with Pecan & Toll House, his 2 best sellers. In January 2020, Pies By Mike moved to it's current location, adding fresh ground coffee (Mike's Signature Blend), Quilted Pigs, and selected pies daily. The new location also includes a cozy dining room where guests can enjoy some of the best coffee around.

Mike has always loved to bake, and after some encouragement from friends, he decided to start selling his pies in November 2014. Since then the little side business has grown into a full time venture.

One whole side of the store is now retail items such as clothes, cups, stuffed animals, keychains, jewelry, etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food came out pretty fast. Price a little steep but they were pretty big sandwiches and they were good. My mother got a Club on white and I got the Holy Guacamole on sourdough. They did make a couple errors. They switched the bread, so my sandwich came out on white and my mother's came out on sourdough. There were also no sprouts on my sandwich. No mention that they were out of them so assuming they forgot. But both sandwiches were very good so not a big deal. Place was clean and tables were being cleaned and items were being swept up as needed.

They offer many choices for breakfast and offer menu and Meat & 2/3 for lunch. They usually have a daily lunch special also. The prices are very reasonable especially for the portion size you get. It is a seat yourself place and if you are looking for modern style, you're in the wrong place. If you are looking for a mom and pop small town feel, you hit the jackpot! We chose the meat & three today along with the daily special of buffalo chicken wrap. For the meat & three, we had pot roast, turnip greens, pinto beans, and butter peas. The meat and three comes with dessert and bread. For the wrap, you have a choice of grilled or fried chicken. It comes with fries and a drink. For a dollar more you can add a make your own salad from the salad bar. The wrap and fries were awesome. I think I'll try the Nashville hot wrap on my next lunch visit. The pot roast was nice and tender and well-seasoned. The vegetables were good but the turnip greens were a little sweet for our taste. We arrived a little after 11 am and once seated, our server greeted us and took our drink order. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu items. Once we placed our order, it arrived at the table about 5 minutes later. Our server checked on us regularly. The Main Street Café seems to do a very large take-out amount. Dozens of customers entered the restaurant just for take-out while we were there. Parking is a first come first serve on the narrow two-way street in a business area. Wow! We were on our way back to Florida and stopped here on a Sunday after reading about the fridges. The Toll House and White Choc Pecan were great. The Key Lime was better than what we have had in Florida! Worth the small drive. Self serve fridge idea is cool! read more
