I really had high hopes for this small restaurant. It's beautiful inside and the staff is friendly. You pick your own table and order in the front. The menu features different chicken salads, pimento cheeses, and paninis. Your side choices are chips, broccoli salad, and apple dip. They also have ice cream and sno-balls. It all sounds so good but unfortunately it's just not. I can't speak for the ice cream or sno-balls because I didn't try them. I was meeting a cousin of mine for lunch with my mother. We came in, picked a table, and made our way to the front to order. We all got The granny goat (chicken, cheddar cheese, apples, grapes, and pineapple) on a croissant and a scoop of The Poppy Goat (chicken, cranberries, pecans, apples, and their house poppy seed dressing. I Hate giving reviews like this but I believe in being honest. I could not eat more than a bite of the Granny Goat croissant. First, the croissant was stone cold. The chicken salad was dry and just didn't taste good. All I could taste was chicken and cheddar. I couldn't taste the fruit at all. I did try to fix it by adding sweetener, mayonnaise, salt and pepper but I just could not force myself to eat it. I moved on to the Poppy Goat. It was slightly better. It was still dry and it was missing something but at least I tasted cranberries, apples, and pecans in this one. Again, I added mayonnaise and sweetener. This time I was at least able to swallow a bit less than a third of the scoop with crackers and a very spicy sweet heat pickle. I was honestly disgusted to be unable to eat my meal. I tried their broccoli salad. For $1.99 you get about three princess bites in a condiment cup. I might have over looked it but it wasn't even good. The usual sweet vinegar sugar zing in your typical broccoli salad was missing. No raisins. Broccoli, bacon, and a minuscule amount of mayonnaise was all I could taste. I couldn't even eat all of it. My cousin let me try a bit of her apple dip. That was not amazing but it was the best thing I had other than a macadamia nut cookie. It was pretty much thick cream cheese with a small amount of cinnamon and sugar with apple slices sticking up in it. The truly sad part of my experience is employees passed my table, multiple times, and never noticed that no one touched their food beyond a few bites. No one ever once came up to us and asked how anything was. All three of us dumped full plates into the trash. I really should have asked for a refund but I was just over it and ready to leave. Very disappointed with this one.

Great local owned chicken salad, ice cream, and sno-ball place! A must stop if you are near by and definitely worth a few extra mins of your travel time. We got to talk with Nate the owner and he was amazing and so nice. We had the pimento jalapeño chicken salad and a dipped ice cream cone and it was so good!

They serve breakfast up until 10:30 am. They offer many choices for breakfast and offer menu and Meat & 2/3 for lunch. They usually have a daily lunch special also. The prices are very reasonable especially for the portion size you get. It is a seat yourself place and if you are looking for modern style, you're in the wrong place. If you are looking for a mom and pop small town feel, you hit the jackpot! We chose the meat & three today along with the daily special of buffalo chicken wrap. For the meat & three, we had pot roast, turnip greens, pinto beans, and butter peas. The meat and three comes with dessert and bread. For the wrap, you have a choice of grilled or fried chicken. It comes with fries and a drink. For a dollar more you can add a make your own salad from the salad bar. The wrap and fries were awesome. I think I'll try the Nashville hot wrap on my next lunch visit. The pot roast was nice and tender and well-seasoned. The vegetables were good but the turnip greens were a little sweet for our taste. We arrived a little after 11 am and once seated, our server greeted us and took our drink order. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu items. Once we placed our order, it arrived at the table about 5 minutes later. Our server checked on us regularly. The Main Street Café seems to do a very large take-out amount. Dozens of customers entered the restaurant just for take-out while we were there. Parking is a first come first serve on the narrow two-way street in a business area. You might have to circle the block a couple of times to get a parking space close. You can check their Facebook page for the daily lunch specials. All in all, we were very happy with our experience, and we will be back for more.

The chicken fingers were horrible, they taste frozen and were similar to a child's chicken nugget. I would not recommend these!!! The wait staff are friendly and very helpful.. To be honest this was a bit over priced for my taste. I don't think I will be back.. $52 for myself and my husband I can think of better places to go..

She proceeded to take my drink and food order. Just seconds later she delivered my beverage. And mere minutes later my tossed salad. The lettuce and other veggies were fresh and crispy, the croutons crunchy. Then I had barely finished my tasty salad when Jennifer arrived with my steak and smashed potatoes! Smashed potatoes were basically Idaho potato baked with skin on and "smashed" good taste. My Ribeye steak was cooked just as I requested. Nice amount of char on the meat! Steak was delicious and only a scant amount of sinew found near the edge. My server enticed me with the offer of Banana pudding and I surrendered. The pudding came swiftly garnished with four or five vanilla wafers on top of whipped cream. Sadly actual bananas were non- existant only pudding. But it's ok. Overall I'm satisfied with the food and good service I received.
