They have daily specials which you can find on their Facebook page. They also have desserts that look yummy. We ordered the daily special, which was Country Fried Steak (which was awesome) and blackeye peas and mashed potatoes. We also had the Touchdown Cheeseburger with fries and a drink. Everything was really good. The only negative comment would be the fries were not hot but more like room temperature. The menu is small but doesn't lack variety. They are open from 11 until 5 or until they sell out. They feature fresh cooked chopped bbq and smoked chicken along with cole slaw, baked beans, homemade mac and cheese, hash brown casserole, potato chips, and a variety of desserts. They often have specials like ribs or stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon. The restaurant is utterly charming as are the owners. It has a country general store theme. There are TVs, always playing Andy Griffith. When you come in, if there's a line, you can grab a menu at the order window. Things are kept pretty simple here: You order at the window and have a seat. They will bring your food out when it's ready. Today I ordered the rib plate with Mac and cheese and Cole slaw, requested pickled onions and pickles, and peach cobbler. These portions are massive. My plate came with four HUGE ribs and they were delicious and tender. The meat had a little bite but came right off the bone. Their bbq sauce is perfect, not too tangy or too sweet. The Mac and cheese could be my own recipe! No Craft box here! The slaw was good, nice and creamy. It went perfectly with the meat. Do try the pickled onions. They're so good! The peach cobbler is dangerous. You finish the huge cup and find yourself wanting more. Don't forget to tip. There's no pressure but there is a cup at the order window. These folks work hard with the sweetest attitude and put out amazing food! Mrs. Tammy checked on me throughout my meal. I had a great experience and will be back. Highly recommended.
