Friendly staff gave us generous portions of veggie toppings. Normal/average selection of sandwiches and chips. The only design issue I find interesting and inconsistent in Subway shops is the layout of "Order Here" and "Pick Up Here." In this particular shop you walked all the way to the back of the store to order, then moved forward as your sandwich-making progressed. That makes sense to me in that, the line is not blocking or impeding impeding potential customers as they enter. I've found some shops have it reversed (including at least one in my hometown) where you order as soon as you enter the store. Makes for a confusing time if the place is full and people who have been served have to wend their way back through the waiting customers. Is this layout a local manager's or franchisee's prerogative?

We had someone tell us they would be with us in a minute three different times. The lady at the window was nice and friendly. She apologized for our wait. Our food was lukewarm at best and I'm thankful I am not allergic to shell fish. I had ordered an add on of butterfly shrimp but instead of putting it in its own little package, like I'm used to, they piled them on top of another plate's fish. I'm okay but if I had an allergy it could have been a concern so if you do have an allergy be sure to tell them. They also left out the tartar sauce we asked for as well as the honey mustard. One of my party won't eat fish without tartar sauce. I think had some kind of situation going on inside, but I've definitely had quicker service, better attention to details on an order, and hotter food. I was a bit frazzled and stopped to get a fish sandwich and fried green tomatoes. Because of COVID-19 I ordered at the Drive-thru. As I approached to pay, I realized I left my wallet at the Birmingham store where I stopped for hurricane supplies earlier. I was so embarrassed. The Angels on Earth that work at this locations said not to worry about it. Not only did they calm my nerves, they gave me the food I ordered. I was overwhelmed by their kindness and generosity. I frantically drove back to Birmingham to retrieve my wallet (another positive review I must write). When I returned to Captain D's to pay for the meal they gave me, they refused to accept my payment and told me they "took care of it." Now I am a man 6'3" and over 215 lbs. The generosity of these Angels brought tears to my eyes, peace to my troubled mind and heart, and faith that in this troubled world in which we live, God is alive and goodness will prevail. I discovered their guilt free freezers come in several flavors and have very little sugar, carbs, and fat. I signed up for their rewards program and got a free drink. I got their guilt free Tuscan Toffee freezer with guilt free whip, sugar free caramel, and toffee bits. The lady at the window was very friendly and got my order just right. The outside of the store and drive thru were very clean and well maintained. My drink was delicious. I honestly could not tell it was guilt free to the point I was expecting the headache, wooziness, and stomach upset that that kind of drink brings but it never did. I've been back for their guilt free Turtle and Tuxedo freezers and they've been just as delicious. I've been a hardcore Starbucks fan but I'm switching to Ellianos.
