The Traditional Wings and Things come with five buffaloed wings, three chicken fingers, crinkle fries, Texas Toast, and a drink. My wings were coated in Sweet & Spicy sauce. I opted to get the fingers in sauce, as well, but I got them in teriyaki. Ranch comes with it but you can swap out for any dip you like. Let me be honest with you. Zaxby's has the BEST wings in the area. They are cooked to perfection and tossed in your choice of sauce. You get that nice bite that most wings around here are missing. My food was delicious. The only thing keeping this from being a five star review was that my extra chicken finger was not just cool but ICE cold. I had to wait on this order to be finished but had to microwave that finger and I live less than five minutes away. Literally everything else but the slaw, my drink, and the salad greens, and that lone chicken finger were piping hot. No clue what happened there. It's a first for me. She was kind and fixed my order to the best of her ability, even giving us some cookies for our inconvenience. I was a bit frazzled and stopped to get a fish sandwich and fried green tomatoes. Because of COVID-19 I ordered at the Drive-thru. As I approached to pay, I realized I left my wallet at the Birmingham store where I stopped for hurricane supplies earlier. I was so embarrassed. The Angels on Earth that work at this locations said not to worry about it. Not only did they calm my nerves, they gave me the food I ordered. I was overwhelmed by their kindness and generosity. I frantically drove back to Birmingham to retrieve my wallet (another positive review I must write). When I returned to Captain D's to pay for the meal they gave me, they refused to accept my payment and told me they "took care of it." Now I am a man 6'3" and over 215 lbs. The generosity of these Angels brought tears to my eyes, peace to my troubled mind and heart, and faith that in this troubled world in which we live, God is alive and goodness will prevail.
