Our server waited on us right away, but I have to say she didn't see very personable. She might have had other things on her mind. It didn't interfere with the food or service though. They have daily specials which you can find on their Facebook page. They also have desserts that look yummy. We ordered the daily special, which was Country Fried Steak (which was awesome) and blackeye peas and mashed potatoes. We also had the Touchdown Cheeseburger with fries and a drink. Everything was really good. The only negative comment would be the fries were not hot but more like room temperature. The total cost of our meal was very reasonable, and we'll be back for another meal later.

I was a bit frazzled and stopped to get a fish sandwich and fried green tomatoes. Because of COVID-19 I ordered at the Drive-thru. As I approached to pay, I realized I left my wallet at the Birmingham store where I stopped for hurricane supplies earlier. I was so embarrassed. The Angels on Earth that work at this locations said not to worry about it. Not only did they calm my nerves, they gave me the food I ordered. I was overwhelmed by their kindness and generosity. I frantically drove back to Birmingham to retrieve my wallet (another positive review I must write). When I returned to Captain D's to pay for the meal they gave me, they refused to accept my payment and told me they "took care of it." Now I am a man 6'3" and over 215 lbs. The generosity of these Angels brought tears to my eyes, peace to my troubled mind and heart, and faith that in this troubled world in which we live, God is alive and goodness will prevail.
