We always stop here on our way to Florida on our family vacation. We have been stopping here since at least 2002. It is a cute little place with decorative items for sale as well as pecans, pecan pie, candies and ice cream. I am not sure if they still sell sandwiches or not. We always get chocolate covered pecans and we have bought peaches here before too. I believe it may have changed hands once or twice but the staff has always been friendly and the place is well maintained and clean. read more

Heaton Pecan Farm has recently become a family favorite. They are located just off I-65 between Birmingham and Montgomery. We visited while my spouse's parents were in town. It is a family run small business selling quaint gifts, candies and consignments (some gifts upstairs are 40% off). We settled in for a homemade ice cream in both single and double scoops, and the servings were generous. Yummy! A gem at "Mile Marker" 208 on I-65 near Clanton, AL. It's not fancy; the sandwiches are good, and it is difficult to leave without buying some candy (fudge, pecan pralines, etc.) for the road. read more

The food is wonderful...I enjoyed it so much ate here for lunch two days in a row. 1st day had the Reuben sandwich with broccoli salad. The 2nd time I had chicken salad sandwich with potato salad.....very clean facility and helpful staff. Enjoyed browsing the gift shop items. Headed North on I65 and had a sweet tooth, decided to randomly stop in at Heaton Pecan Farm ..... Highly recommend!! When you open the doors you are greeted by friendly staff, clean/cute gift shop, and fudge for days. The milkshakes are delicious, the candies are devine, and the Chocolate fudge explosion truffle (or whatever it's called) is out of this world amazing! Will definitely make this a pit stop every time I can. read more

We have made Heaton's Pecan Farm a must-stop place on our family trips to Florida for about 20 years. They have amazing ice cream (my favorite is chocolate pecan), the shop is cute and we love the pecans! When we got home from our summer trip, I tossed the bags of pecans in the freezer for the holidays. People always like my pecan pies, but this year they were even better. The only thing I did different was used Heatons pecans. It's definitely worth stopping in! read more

Nice quick stop for lunch. The triple salad plate is very good(I like the chicken salad, tuna salad & orange salad, it is sweet). We never get out without spending a ton on pecans, candy & ice cream. I've never had a better pecan pie and I'm a Southerner. They also have a nice selection of gifts, homemade candy, ice cream, and fresh peaches. When I first saw this place I was really excited because I love stopping at places that are like little Hometown Farms curbside markets you know just something that's local to that area. I was rather disappointed when I walked in they did have homemade candies and things like that and I think there were some candles and Christmas stuff, some little small things that were made locally but other than that it was really a commercialized store. It seemed to me like it was probably just a local ice cream parlor but not worth getting off the interstate to check out. read more

My wife and I took the day off; and we ate here Friday morning, on a day trip to Montgomery. Each of had the 3 salad combination lunch plate, and the total(with tip) was under $20.00. The food was quite good, and the service was friendly. The location is small (15 tables), but the gift shop was nice. I agree with previous reviews that is has a nice, quaint atmosphere. We skipped on the ice cream, but plan on stopping here on our next trip to Montgomery. read more
