My daughter and I stopped by on a Friday night. As soon as we walked in, Zanetta greeted us, and our server Neko offered some great recommendations from the menu. I wanted some fish, and they fried it perfectly; my daughter's burger was huge. They cut it in half, so I tried a piece, and it reminded me of that sweet, homey flavor of my mom's burger. The sides were also good. That pound cake sent me straight to bed because I ate so well. Neko also told us about brunch on Sunday, so you already know we went on Sunday. If you haven't been to this location, come to Pelham and try them as soon as possible. Everyone is so friendly, and their brunch waffle and chicken fingers are my favorites. Plus, they had $5.00 drink specials. It has plenty of space for groups or you can order and pickup the food.

I actually heard about Hit Different BBQ & Grill from a commercial on a local radio station, so we decided to check them out. Apparently, they've been open for 2 years, but just got a new outdoor sign (which looks great). IMO, this was definitely needed because we weren't even aware there was a restaurant in the plaza. When we got there, it was somewhat packed and the staff apologized in advance that they were a little slow, due to one of their employees had called out. I really appreciated their honesty and they were very communicative the entire time. After looking over the menu, I ordered the fried pork chops meal with mac and cheese and collards and my guest ordered the pulled pork with fries and sweet potato casserole. When I say this food was good, it truly was!! Now beware, the staff cooks the food to order, so please be patient. But this food was absolutely delicious!! They give you two pork chops, which were fried golden brown and seasoned very well. You can tell the batter was also seasoned well. Those pork chops were so good, we placed another a la carte order to go! The mac and cheese was cheesy and very moist and the collards tasted like your grandmother's collards. Everything was seasoned very well and served hot and fresh. The pulled pork with fries was very tasty but I do wish it came with a slice of bread, but that sweet potato casserole was everything!! You don't have to wait until Thanksgiving to eat that casserole. It was very delicious and each dish to the main dish to the sides, were homemade! Last but not least, we also tried their peach cobbler.... OMG!! My guest had to get us out of there because even though we were full, we wanted to continue ordering because the food was just that good! That cobbler was so buttery and delicious. Gessh! We also got to speak with the owner (sorry, can't remember their name) but they were very nice and apologized again for the wait (which we definitely didn't mind). They also told us they offer catering services and they have a food truck, so even you can't stop by the restaurant, make sure you support their food truck. We were also told they have brunch on Sundays with a live band, so we will definitely stop by again to try their brunch, which I heard they offer salmon croquettes!! All in all, great food and great service at our visit today!!

Can we talk about Hit Different for just a second?! Bring your stretchy pants and prepare to have your socks blown off. Fantastic food and all seasoned well, staff was incredibly friendly and a clean restaurant and restrooms. They have a little something for everyone so be sure to bring your friends and tell your loved ones to come by!!

The food and service remain consistent!! A favorite is the Philly Cheesesteak, but the wings and pork chops are delicious also. They now have bar service and live music on certain nights. It's a family friendly atmosphere.

Started with lemon pepper fried okra. DELICIOUS. We had ribs, cheesesteak, pulled pork, and sliders, Mac-n-cheese. Three or four folks served our table, taking orders and refilling drinks. Took a while to fill our orders, and it was all very average. Nice, casual, relaxed atmosphere. But nothing special, overall.

I had no idea this place was open until I started seeing random reviews on an app I have. So, I had to try it. I went in on a Friday and the wait was a little long but the food was piping hot! I ordered the Pullin' Pork Sandwhich with baked beans (a little on the very sweet side to me) and lemon pepper okra, fried hard (could have used more lemon pepper seasoning). I also ordered one of their Slappin' lemonades (strawberry), pretty good! Overall, I enjoyed my meal and I will be back soon to try other menu items.

Super friendly - relaxed atmosphere. The pulled pork Mac-n-Cheese was really tasty. The owner is very hands-on and loves to meet new customers and share her passion for providing a great experience. Highly recommended!

Now let me be honest, when I pulled up and didn't see a line, I got a little nervous. Like is this a hidden gem or am I about to learn a life lesson? But curiosity won. The staff was friendly, no complaints there, but y'all know how sometimes you need that one person to say, "BABY, get THIS!" yeah, I didn't get that kind of guidance. So I went with the fried fish and fries. The fish looked like it was about to change my life. Golden, seasoned, photogenic, all that. Took a bite and it was good but I wanted a little more crunch. That's on me though, because I didn't ask for it extra crispy. Lesson learned: closed mouths don't get crispy fish. Now the fries? Whew. They came through crispy and did NOT play with me. Overall, solid 4/5. I'd definitely go back, just with a special request next time!

I really was looking forward to trying some of their whiting fish, but they were out unfortunately. I tried their catfish with fries, and the dish tasted pretty good. It was seasoned very well and served hot. I really enjoyed their seafood gumbo. This soup definitely reminded me of New Orleans. I would suggest more soup than rice, but it was still delicious nonetheless. All in all, Nawlins Style was pretty good. I'll definitely have to come back when they have some whiting fish. Ohh and just fyi.. they don't have yellow mustard. They only have spicy mustard. So if you want some mustard with your dish, you might want to bring your own.

I have sat down multiple times to write this review and I've deleted it because I can't seem to…read morefully express how amazing this business and these owners truly are. My family and I visited this restaurant after my doctors appointment a couple of weeks ago, we are not from the area we actually live in Gadsden so it was our first time trying this restaurant. Let me just start out with this the food was absolutely delicious. I don't have much of an appetite these days and I. An honestly say I finished almost all of my food and ate until I was stuffed and that isn't something that happens very often. Each member of my family was happy with their food and was already planning out what they would order when we come back after my next appointment . I just opened a Farm Stand in our home town and while we were sitting and eating I spotted a mixer that was sitting off to the side with some other supplies. If you know anything about industrial mixers they are far from cheap I had been looking at a few in the $500 range so I thought I would just check. I asked the guy upfront if he could ask the owner if it was for sale and if so how much he was asking. The owner came and spoke to us and I quickly realized that the mixer he had was way more expensive than the ones I had been looking at and I told him I was sorry that I couldn't even give him a fair price after looking up the kind he had . He looked at us and gave me a price that was astonishing to say the least , but I still didn't have that much at the moment. He told me to give him what I could and then pay him later when I had it for the rest. This is a man who has never met me he had no reason to help me besides just being kind. When you hear this man talk about helping others and community he means it, it's not just talk to make him sound good. I left his restaurant that day with a mixer that was several thousands of dollars. So I say all of that to say this Alabaster and surrounding areas yall are truly blessed to have a business that not only has amazing food but has amazing people who truly care about others, and from personal experience I can tell you they don't have to have known you for years to treat you like family. We will be making this restaurant part of our stop each time we come through. Thank you again for blessing me I can't tell you how much it has ment!

The first time we waited around 15 minutes at a table before anyone acknowledged us, and the second time was basically the same experience sitting at the bar. Friendly service definitely wasn't the strong point here either. That said, the food honestly saved this review from being much lower. The wings had a fantastic sauce with great flavor, the fried pickles were crispy and addictive, and the fried green tomatoes were genuinely delicious with a really solid batter. Even the beers were ice cold and crisp, which fit the vibe perfectly. The biggest issue is that the pricing feels a little high for the overall experience and environment. If you're charging those kinds of prices, the cleanliness and service really need to match it better. If you're coming strictly for fried bar food and cold beer, you'll probably enjoy it. Just don't expect attentive service or a polished atmosphere.

They no longer have French toast so I did have to pick something different. Our server was Caitlyn and she was very attentive and friendly. There were five of us and we all ordered different things I started off with the pineapple and orange juice mimosa. Once some of us realize that we wanted a second one we ended up getting a bottle of champagne and we were able to get three juices with it. We picked pineapple, orange, and lavender. Lavender was a little too syrupy for my taste. And for $24 you really can't beat that. I got the crabcake Benedict with two hash brown sticks. It was so delicious. I can't wait to go back and get some more. This is a really cool restaurant because it is in an old elementary school that they turned into businesses when you go into the hallway it's like you're at a school which you are. If you go to the bathroom the toilet seats are very low to the floor. They do not take reservations, but when we got there on a Saturday morning at 11, there was no wait. When it's busy, parking can be complicated. I will definitely be back for brunch. If you haven't tried it I highly suggest going.
