Highly recommend the Tin Kitchen if you are in Weston! The brisket on the sandwich was phenomenal, and I am usually not the biggest fan of brisket. The original BBQ sauce was my favorite, and honestly one of my favorite BBQ sauces I have ever tried. I thought the sweet BBQ sauce was a little too sweet. The fries were seasoned well and were the perfect crisp. The pulled pork on the nachos was really good too, and I topped it with a little more BBQ. Yum! This place is so good! On a recent visit to Weston we chose this place for dinner. We had the pulled pork and brisket combo with mac-n-cheese and baked beans for our sides. Wow was it all delicious! The meat super tender and perfectly smoked and BOTH sides were amazing! I've only ever been to one BBQ restaurant that I loved ALL of the sides but now I can say I've been to two! They were extremely busy but service was friendly and spot on!! I always have loved visiting Weston, and Tin Kitchen is my food choice while I'm in town. My go to entree is the pulled pork sandwich with fries as my side. The pork is juicy, tender, and flavorful. The serving size is more than enough to fill a hungry stomach and to have a little bit of food to enjoy later on! I would also recommend trying out any of their cocktails, which is always a great way to end off a meal. My personal favorites to drink would be the TK margarita or the TK Bloody Mary! Nice little bbq place that is hidden. We had a group of 10 of us visiting the local distillery in the area and decided to grab a bite to eat before the tour. Had The Q sandwich and it was simple but amazing. Brisket with the onion straws gave it a good crunch with every bit. Bbq beans for the side were perfect. Not too strong and just slightly smokey. Atmosphere was quite and friendly. We sat at a high top in the middle of the resturant and were able to all have a conversation and never had to speak loud. I showed up slightly after some of the group had ordered and the kitchen made sure to get my food out at the same time as everyone else's to make sure I was not waiting on it. We ate a late lunch/early dinner at the Tin Kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. There were 6 in our party. Most of the booths were filled so I was happily surprised to be seated immediately. Yea! This BBQ restaurant is located in Weston, a small town north of Kansas City. The parking spots along Main Street were all full, no problem, there's parking areas in the back. The restaurant is in an old building that has been refurbished. Totally fits in with the quaint charm of Weston. We got the food ordered and it was shortly served to us. I ordered the "The Carolina" which is a pulled pork sandwich topped with slaw. You get one side with your sandwich and I ordered the fries. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of pulled pork but my brother recommended it. He guided me right, it was wonderful. The fries were equally delicious. They have three types of BBQ sauce: original, spicy, and sweet. I mixed the spicy and sweet together. I was in BBQ heaven with this meal. The waitress was friendly and attentive. She kept our drinks filled and we were drinking a lot of water and tea. I thought it was a reasonably priced menu. I got a very tasty sandwich and fries for $10.50. Score! After an afternoon at the distillery and wineries we stopped here for dinner. This was based on several recommendations from the locals. The place is quite small or at least the dining area is. When I used the restroom I noticed there was a bar on the other side. I'm not sure if it's only for drinking or if you can order food. When we went to order they said their ribs had just won a medal. We didn't order ribs, but would consider in the future. We ordered the starter nachos which came with pulled pork, the meat combo which came with brisket and pulled pork. While everything was flavored well, it was slightly dry and we felt the meat portions could be larger on both the app and the meal. The meal also came with 2 sides. We chose the Mac & cheese and the broccoli salad. The Mac was prob some of the best Mac that I've had at a restaurant and the broccoli salad had a really good taste as well. They have 3 sauces -original, sweet, and pepper. The sweet was the best imo. The original was very vinegary and the pepper just tasted like it had loads of black pepper. Overall the meal and food we had was decent. This place does seem to be a local favorite and fan favorite in reviews and in person. ( Altho I only have 1 data point on this) Bar-b-que, for me, has three components...Meat, sauce and sides. The meat...(I had the 2 meat combo...pulled pork and brisket) was moist, flavorful and tender which is ironic considering the whole reason bar-b-que sauce was invented was to moisten dried out, bland meat. The sauce...3 to choose from...original, Carolina and sweet. Altho I normally prefer the vinegary Carolina style, this time I liked the original best. The sides...slaw and beans. The coleslaw was vinegary (making up for my sauce choice) and delicious but not too sweet. (It is hard to make a recommendation here because cole slaw is such a personal choice of each person.) The beans were sweet and saucey but not pasty...(and that is saying A LOT for a guy with texture issues.) You know how sometimes you have to add the sauce on the table to beans to make them better?... not here. This place was great. Wow! Amazing food in a quiet, unassuming locale. My wife took me out to Weston to tour the Holladay Distillery for my birthday. Upon asking the staff at the distillery their recommendation for lunch in town, they both responded immediately with the "Tin Kitchen". There was a 'Polish Pottery Festival' on Main Street so parking was a little tough, but we were able to get a spot and a table as soon as we walked in at 2pm on a Saturday. We always like to share items so we can sample more of the menu and started out with the Smothered Fries. A healthy portion of crispy fries, smothered in their homemade cheese sauce, with an even healthier portion of pulled pork (I honestly wish there was a higher fry:meat ratio). The individual tastes were incredible and was even better combined in one bite. It was also a nice opportunity to sample their 3 sauces. For our entree, we had the brisket with mac and cheese and 24-hour coleslaw. The brisket was so tender and flavorful and there is definitely some magic in that cole slaw. My wife is the mac and cheese fan and she said that she really enjoyed it. It will be tough to try any other restaurant any time I'm out in Weston! read more
