Downtown Weston is such an adorable must visit. Tin kitchen is an exceptional example of what makes this town so great. As soon as you walk in the smell of bbq and spices swarm. The staff immediately greeted us and told us we could sit anywhere. It was a Tuesday afternoon, so they were not very busy. The menu looked so great, I honestly did not know what to try! I ended up making my mind up on the Cajun chicken salad! It was a simple salad, looked and was very refreshing. The chicken had the perfect spices. My friend had also ordered the sandwich, it's a good alternative for the salad for a bigger meal! LOL The side bar offerers different food then the lower bar and main dining area. Staff has always been helpful and friendly any time I have been there. Enroute to KC, we stopped off for a bite to eat in Weston. Tin Kitchen is your stop for eats and beers. Folks were getting ready for the afternoon game on Sunday, with their Chiefs facing off against the Niners. Sundays are a popular place to gather in Weston, and plenty of regulars were at TK when we got there. We could have waited for our own table, but we jumped at the first available - which was two seats at the shared table, eating with the masses. We got seated with menus, and shortly after and I ordered and enjoyed a O'Malley's Cream Ale, from Weston Brewing Company. It is a well balanced lager that is sweet with a cardamum finish. I topped it off with a single FGT (Fried Green Tomato) smashburger. The FGT is a single patty topped with pimento, topped with a fried green tomato. It was not heavy, and easy to enjoy. The side of fries was beyond generous... the fries were fine, just endless. It had me rethinking maybe should have had the mac'n'cheese or broccoli to be healthy - nahhhh. TK has a southern diner feel to it, but it does BBQ, and has a full bar. They have mocktails and adult drinks, but I would also try to enjoy the best of Weston, whether it's from the Weston Brewery Co. or the TK's very own Mean Muggin', Margie, or their What the Huck (indeed!). The place itself is super cute -- set in a building that looks like it's been around since Lincoln had a beard. The place has a home bar feel with the right amount of light. The food was excellent and cook to perfection. The service was delightful and attentive. We did order two beers but was carded, being over 40 made us smile but we realized her ID was in the car, so we politely got water instead. We love going to Tin Kitchen anytime we're in Weston and it's always great. The food is amazing. We love the brisket and the fries. Portions are huge and prices are reasonable. They make great mixed drinks with a lot of alcohol from local brewers and wineries. Service is always quick and friendly as well. We're usually too full got dessert, but they do have great choices made in house as well. Parking is easy on the street out front or a lot around the corner. This place is absolutely delicious. Apparently, everyone already knows that because it was packed when we got there. We did go on a beautiful Saturday at about 1pm. Despite being told the wait would be twenty minutes, we opted to sit at their downstairs bar and only had to wait about five. There is far more seating than it looks like when you first walk in. All of the workers were very polite and attentive. I had a pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing. I love that you have your choice of three sauces. My boyfriend got a two meat platter. I feel bad to give this not a five star review the last time I had a meal here was honestly a couple months ago, and I have not been back. The staff is friendly though they could be a little more attentive and prices are above average, unfortunately I found the meat to be extremely fatty and extremely chewy And while some people are into that I was not. I asked for a replacement and was given a replacement fairly quickly, which was only mildly leaner. Perhaps they have changed since I was there, but if it's still the same, I see no reason nor do I have any desire to return, which is sad because having a barbecue place in WESTON and having such a warm atmosphere and great decor and a great location inside I really want it to be a great place, but in the last few years, it has started to turn downward and that bugs me out. I've been to the Tin Kitchen several times over the years. It seems that each time I find myself in the area around lunch we migrate here. They specialize in bbq, though there are a variety of options on the menu. This last visit I shared a bbq sandwich and some fries with my husband. Honestly the food is always great, the only downgrade from 4-5 stars is just because it's always so busy on the weekends and you'll need to plan on a wait. It would be nice if you could have them text you when your table is ready so you can walk around town a bit while waiting. We didn't have a super long wait, but had it been any longer I think it would have put a damper on the day without the ability to leave the area. read more

Weston is a charming town with unique shops. Also famous for the Holiday/McCormicks distillery. My family and I went for lunch at the Tin Kitchen. The building is small. The waitress was very helpful and had multiple tables. The food is OK. There is no reason to go out of your way to eat at the Tin Kitchen in my opinion. Grabbed dinner at Tin Kitchen at 5:00 on a Saturday night. We had a party of 5 and had a short wait, but then were able to get a table in the bar. My husband and I split the 1/2 chicken with broccoli salad and French fries. It was plenty of food for 2 people. I would never have been able to eat it by myself! First, the people who work there, love working there and it shows. Not only do they love working at the restaurant, they love Weston and talking about it. We are from California and they had so many great advice on what to do, told my wife a Hallmark movie was made there, and what it is like living in town. Now to the food. I ordered the half smoked chicken with coleslaw and barbecue beans. My date ordered the combo sandwich which was pulled pork and chopped brisket. My chicken was very tender and loved the smoked flavor and crispy skin. I loved the barbecue beans. They were so flavorful and had meat in them. I love it when they put meat in beans. The coleslaw was just OK. My date loved his sandwich, fries and Mac n cheese. I tried his fries, they were very good and flavorful. The meat was also pretty tender. I'm usually on the lookout for a great burger which they had quite a few but I thought going to a barbecue place I should have some kind of barbecue food.
