The timing of my trip was working out that I was totally going to miss my chance to go, but Christie came back after hours just to help me out, she even gave me a candle. The bakery was beautiful, the decor felt enchanted and their display case had descriptions next to each cupcake with a picture from the theme. After much deliberation and debate, we decided on Beth at the Sugarmaker Bakery for far too many reasons. Bottom line, Beth showed up personally on our wedding day to assemble the cake (three tier, elevating layers..... think floating stairs, best way I can describe it). Prior to showing up we were shown examples of previous work by the Sugarmaker Bakery, and it rivaled the cakes on TLC "Ace of Cakes". Why Julie N. had "pleasant" things to say about her purchase, I see no reason why she felt the need to drop a three star rating on Beth. She does stellar work, and I would recommend her over half the bakers in the North Conway area!!

My husband had a hummus bagel with cucumbers and tomato and it was a great light start to the day. We also tried a ham and cheese croissant which was good. It was the softer bread style croissant and had chopped rosemary ham and cheese which was delicious, I only wished there was more of it! I brought a maple molasses cookie and a butterscotch cookie home. They were both so delicious and chewy! My only criticism is I wish there was a touch more salt, but I'm nitpicking. Highly recommend stopping in for a light breakfast or lunch, and taking some baked goods for the trail!

On top of that, the people who work here are so kind. It feels like the sort of place where everyone is happy to see you walk in. When I tell you it was the best cake I ever had in my life and maybe the best dessert I've ever had in my 52 years of life, I am not exaggerating. So moist and so damn yummy! I know they also make outstanding wedding cakes because I remember a few years ago, they replicated my in-laws' wedding cake for their 50th anniversary - everyone loved that cake, too. BUT, this signature cake...great job Three Sisters. I am now a HUGE fan!
