a chocolate cake in a box
    Elizabeth S.

It's my birthday today and I needed a cake at the last minute found this quaint little bakery off the Main Street. We entered her tiny shop and she had just finished a beautiful chocolate cake with chocolate fudge roses all over the cake. I said that's beautiful and I will take it lol. Yummy!

Ordered a birthday cake, and it was absolutely perfect! Not only beautifully decorated but also delicious. We requested a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting, and it did not disappoint. Several party guests commented on how delicious the cake was, including my super picky sister, who went to culinary school, who commented "Wow, this buttercream frosting is even better than mine". If you are in need of a cake for any occasion, I highly recommend Danette!

This place is a hidden gem. They have awesome desserts and the creamsicle fudge is the best fudge I've ever had before!! The owner is super friendly and the inside of the store is decorated nicely.

    Wedding cake

We hired Danette to make our wedding cake for us. She made us a gorgeous cake. It was delicious as well. She is lovely to work with. I'm hoping I never need her for another wedding cake but I'd definitely be back for any other event.

Plus chairs, stools, tables, leather chairs (in which I sit), views of mountains and perhaps a throne or two. But, it must be said, that iced coffee was a FREE REFILL (which they do for hot and iced coffees) for a different drink, and that different drink was a chocolate-hazelnut iced coffee, which was not what I expected, i.e. a 5 calorie iced coffee, but instead a syrupy, heavily flavored dessert drink with which I broke my fast far harder than I had meant to. Had I known this drink was not seasoned beans turnt to a delectable cup, I might have passed on it, and had I not felt the desire to rejoin my company, I would have asked for the heaviest of heavy creams to make it a straight milk shake, but I drank it as was and enjoyed it every sip. The flavor was good to great, the texture more than I wanted but curious as a Campbell I couldn't just get the nitro-brew I craved because there was a hazelnut-coffee concoction I had never had heard of let alone tried and probably, along with the refill has more get up and go than the nitro solo. But I been here for hours now and don't feel like leaving yet, and that the baristae refilled my cup with coffee whilst allowing me to avoid the line (which isn't cutting. Justification: The line is only for people who still need to pay) really bumps that service up to magnificent. I love it here so much that I am almost remiss to go back to all four generations of my family who have gathered locally.

It's been open for 15 years and they have another location in the Settler's Green. They also have one in Maine. They have breakfast and lunch food. Tables can be found inside and outside. The coffee was delicious and service was good. I love the decor, they had some wall art up. It's walking distance to many amenities. If you're a coffee lover, I definitely recommend.

A small bar as you enter that was full when we came in. We sat at a small table in the bar area. Everyone was very nice and our waitress was attentive enough - but she seemed a bit busy. But all was fine service wise. So....the food. It's weird. Like trying too hard to be different but just didn't hit the mark for me. I see bread on a menu and I get excited! So immediately I ordered the Parmesan bread with dill pickle butter. The bread was warm and I enjoyed it but the butter with dill pickle just didn't work for me. Lots of other things to me could have complemented the bread better. Then we order the lettuce wraps, they were ok. My friend ordered the duck and I tried it and we both really liked it! The vegetables were good! My sirloin....the steak itself was good despite being a tad overcooked for medium rare. Something on the plate had a curry flavor - it just didn't all go together well. Then the lemon ricotta cheesecake....we didn't taste any lemon, it was thick and weirdly dry for a cheesecake. It also had freeze dried something on top....we actually weren't sure what. Some bright spots - the food quality! You can tell that these are top notch high quality ingredients, and the cocktails! They were yummy! I just don't like the weird combos and what (to me) feels like being weird for the sake of being different versus just being good. Since I only come up here a few times a season I likely will go to our other favorites or try new spots.
