Everything we had was very good. The menu is small ( a good thing). We didn't take pictures of the chowder or the oysters because they were in our bellies before we knew it. The beer was cold, restrooms clean, and staff attentive. We will return for round 2

Adjacent to the The Tiki Room, Pearl Divers features a rotating list of oysters from different regions at $3 a pop. We had the chance to try all three oysters that they were featuring for the day and we really enjoyed the palette. The oysters featured might've been limited but they had a major punch to them with flavor. My favorite were the ones that were a bit more briny, truly small but mighty. Your oysters are brought out with the traditional crackers, hot sauce, mignonette sauce, horseradish, and lemons. It was nice for them to all folks the chance to order in any quantity as I'm sure a few folks might be trying oysters for the very first time in a landlocked city. The had a finessed menu featuring carpaccio, tartare, and about ten to fifteen dishes encompassing appetizers to main entrees. We had ordered the carpaccio but it never came out (no biggie, again it was soft opening so we came in with an open mind). Since we got there a bit later in the day, they were out of frites and I am a loyal fan of oysters, frites, and bubbles (wine at the minimum). This just means we'll have to be back. What was most important to me though was the service and how friendly the staff was. We opted to sit at the bar (as one should at an Oyster bar) and be as close to the oyster display as possible. I used to live in New Orleans for a few years so sometimes when it's busier and you're chatting away they'll shuck an extra one to you every so often to try. I'm pretty stoked to see the dining scene continuously elevating and Pearl Divers is a nice rendition. I'll be certain to come back and can't wait to see what a five-star experience is out of their soft opening phase. *** If there is one piece of feedback I'd provide is to have smaller spoons for the mignonette and forks for the oysters. The current sizes are a bit too large and can easily ruin the integrity of the oyster when making sure it's been properly separated and not intact, as well as, not being able to have the right ratio of mignonette sauce for each oyster. The spoon was constantly hitting the mouth of the condiment cup.

I really enjoy seafood. In fact, every time I see food, I eat it! Thank you. I'll be here all week…read more Seriously though, I do enjoy a good seafood restaurant. And I was pleasantly surprised when I found this place in El Paso, Texas. For starters, you sort of have to navigate your way around a second parking lot to get to it, but it is worth the adventure. Walking through the door. Door. They have a very nicely kept greeting station with a bar off to the left. So I made my way to the bar for a drink before dinner After my drink I went and got seated waited for the rest of my party. Looked over the menu and asked for suggestions. The chef's specials are always on point I was told so I opted for the blackened red snapper etouffee. Wow, what an amazing dish! And the presentation was off the hook. The spices were on point. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was just a very good dinner experience. Service was a little slow, I think that they weren't prepared for a party of 20 even though we had a reservation. Had it not been for the very slow service I probably would have given them five stars. But hey it's a improvement point. Bottom line? If you are in El Paso and you are looking for a nice upscale seafood place that has a casual feel, you could definitely check this place out.!

My mom made a reservation for 3 people, June 19th, 2026. Upon arrival, staff advised our table was occupied by other patrons, & would have to find another table. They proceeded to sit us at a table meant for 2. We did not fit comfortably, and plenty of other tables seemed available. I approached front desk and requested a change of table. The staff (3 women) proceeded to explain me about their reservations, table availability, restaurant occupancy, table #'s, etc. They were not polite, were flustered & stressed out. They were checking but stated it was not possible, I basically had to beg, to be moved to another table. it worked, and we got moved. This took about 10-15 minutes. it really was a hassle... I was ready to walk out...How could you start your dinning experience like this? Anyway, we ordered drinks, appetizers & main course, as soon as we got the 1st appetizer, a an employee came to the table she told us: They have other reservations, & need our table, and we need to rush so they can take care of their reservations. I could not believe her. By the way, no other patrons were getting rushed out, just us. This woman really ruined the mood. Ive never been told to eat quickly because there are other reservations in need of my table. I told her- to go ask other patrons for their table, and to STOP disturbing us. she walked away.. on to the food review: I got the Jamaica Mezcalita- it really was great tasting & a beautiful presentation in a coupe glass, nicely garnished. Highly recommended- or not? (the waitress told me to rush & get out?? Mezcal is meant to be zipped..) My mom had the mandarin mezcal drink- beautiful presentation, she loved it. See pictures. Appetizers: we had the Jalea de mariscos & tuna nikei. Beautiful presentation & delicious- ( but did we enjoy it? not really, were told to rush.) My parents each had the tacos de pulpo, I got the Maracuya Ceviche- again beautiful presentation & taste.. as we started eating, we had another visitor- the woman from the from desk, this time saying she was leaving, and she had the nerve to tell me to not stress out & enjoy, proceeded to mention everything about the reservations, tables etc. It was annoying. I told her- that's an internal restaurant issue, i dont work here, I am a customer. I dont even know why they kept burdening me with all their internal issues. I will say nobody had the courtesy to apologize. Not one person said- sorry for the inconvenience. All i wanted was to have a nice dinner with my parents & AMAR's staff made sure to made it uncomfortable and rude. Where do you hire your staff? Exception: Max the waiter, he did a good job, was pleasant Resumen en Espanol: Jamas en la vida nos habian dicho que comamos rapido por que necesitan la mesa para otra reserva. Increible.
