Came here for a Filipino brunch buffet on a Sunday morning with my Chinoy friend. We parked in the main parking lot of the shopping center, and enjoyed the air conditioning in here. The service was so nice, and Timog was clean and spacious and nicely furnished. We really enjoyed the Filipino breakfast items, and we were absolutely stuffed when by the time we left.

One if the best Filipino restaurant in bay-area. Food was amazing and you can taste the quality. Ambiance is elegant! Clean! A place you can take someone on a date. The owner is very friendly and inviting! Definitely check out this place you won't regret it!

Delicious Filipino food with a twist. Think of it as fusion. They have their own spin on different well known Filipino dishes. Loved the Bangus Sisig and Sizzling Tofu. Their Crispy Pata was huge. Their halo halo...super sized. Will definitely be back. Owner was so sweet and gave great recommendations on the food. Lucky enough to have her be my waitress as well. Prices are acceptable. Clean inside with a nice wall mural. Had a lovely lunch here. Restaurant is in a plaza with Lion Supermarket as the anchor store.

Finally came back after about a year. Definitely should've came back sooner! They made a couple of changes, I believe the buffet is now only on the weekends. One thing that hasn't changed is the friendly staff. Things were a little slow in the beginning because there was only 1 server for the whole restaurant (maybe only 4-5 parties but 1 was a big party). However, midway through, the server had more help and things were picking up. I forgot to mention in my other review that the restaurant is quite small and holds up to 62. But the place is still so beautifully decorated and cute. They even had live music on Friday night. The food was overall delicious. I highly recommend the squid ink pansit if it's available! Very good flavors and the pansit is not too wet. Other highlights were the beef pares and tuna/grilled pork belly kilawin.

Went on a Sunday night at 6 with my boyfriend and there was inly one other party. We were and seated served qucikly all by one server. The ambiance is very aesthetic and inviting. The lighting is not too bright. We ordered the lechon kawali and it was warm and skin was crunchy. It was served with a mix of meat and fat. The pork sisig was just average, nothing too special in my opinion. We want to go back to go back to try their Sunday lunch buffet.

Cute little restaurant, but the food left something to be desired (and the low ceiling, live music, and large groups made it uncomfortably loud in there). We tried their pork sisig, kare kare volcano, bbq chicken, and the crispy palabok. Everything just lacked flavor and the bbq chicken was actually our favorite which is what we got for the kid in our group. They use a lesser cut of pork for the sisig which has a lot more cartilage which was not our favorite. The girl singing was lovely to listen to and very talented (although, again...it was pretty loud in there...)

Located in a predominantly Asian shopping plaza, catering to mostly Chinese and Vietnamese. Timog adds an element of diversity to the area. The ambiance is simple but inviting. The staff are friendly and attentive. The variety of dishes are flavorful and very comparable to authentic home-cooked styles The dessert menu is outstanding, offering a great variety of sweet treats to end your meal on a high note!

LENT 2026: SIXTH FRIDAY - FRIED BANGUS CON ENSALADA On the last Friday of March I came here for lunch. Using my GPS I had difficulty finding this place. After parking I went around the building and entered a hallway. I was then able to find Timog. During this Lent season Timog was one of the places I wanted to eat on Fridays. The reason is the fried bangus with salad. One thing I noticed in Filipino cuisines fried fish are sometimes served with a salad, which consists chopped tomatoes and onions. The one ingredient that was unique with this salad includes cucumber. I asked my server if I should get the steamed rice or garlic rice with the fried bangus. My server recommended garlic rice. At Timog the meat of the bangus is moist. Most of the bangus I've eaten at Filipino eateries tend to be dry and jerky. Having the meat of the bangus moists is a good sign. Another exceptional quality of the bangus at Timog is the crispy skin. I love crispy skin on a fish whether the fish is grilled or deep-fried. Of course you can't have bangus without the fatty belly, which I was happy to eat. At Timgo there is one negative about the bangus it was bland. I didn't taste any salt or seasoning on the bangus. The garlic rice added flavor to the bangus. I did like the salad on top of the bangus. I'm glad I came to Timog during Lent Friday to eat the fried bangus with salad.

Timog is a beautiful Filipino restaurant located inside Lion Market. The menu is easy to order from, and the food was authentic and delicious! Dishes were a good size so that we had leftovers to take home. Caleb, our solo server, took great care of us. I'd go again to try the buffet only on Sundays.

If you're craving for some good and wholesome Filipino food, this is the place. Add to that some entertainment during Friday and Saturday nights featuring Filipino songs and American songs.

Came in on a Friday night and there was live music. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly. I wish I could give this place more stars. Maybe I just had high hopes for their unique menu items. For 3 items and a side of rice our total was roughly $90. We got the karekare, palabok, and bangus sisig. The karekare was a large crispy patta pork hock that had the sauce poured over it when they brought it to the table. The flavor was bland, and I felt like it needed salt. I did however enjoy the crispiness of the pork. But the sauce just didn't cut it for me. The palabok also had the same aesthetic. They deep fried the noodles to make it crispy and pour the sauce over top and mix everything for you table side. Again the flavor there was also lacking, not sure if it needed more anatto or tinapa flavor, but it fell short for me as well. The dish that I did thoroughly enjoy was the bangus sisig. Perfect amount of salt, tang, and creaminess. It was missing jalapeños for me, but since the rest of the flavor was there, I over looked it. I'd definitely order this again.

Filipino food with a modern twist! This spot is located inside the Lion Market Shopping Center, and growing up in the area, I never even knew! It was a nice hidden discovery, and the inside surprised me even more. I looooved the decor!  Food was delicious and very flavorful, reminding me of home cooking. I will be honest, my adobo was a little oilier than I was used to, but maybe I just have a weak stomach lol. I definitely want to come back to try their other dishes though, it was hard not to order everything on the menu during our visit haha.  They also have an AYCE Brunch Buffet on Sundays from 11am-3pm and Live Music on Friday/Saturday nights (think laid back, acoustic vibes) What we ordered: * Adobo (Pork & Chicken w/ Egg) * BBQ Pork * Pares ni Enteng * Garlic Rice * Tamarindo Tango

The restaurant is located inside an Asian grocery complex. We've always been curious about the hype, especially since we often see it featured on reels. As a Filipina who loves to eat and takes pride in Filipino cuisine, I have to be honest -- I found the experience a bit underwhelming. Of all the dishes we tried, the palabok stood out as our favorite and would be the only reason we'd consider coming back. Unfortunately, everything else we ordered felt subpar and lacked that "wow" factor, especially considering the price point. The quality just didn't match the cost. What really threw me off was the wait time. While a 30-40 minute wait would've been understandable, we ended up waiting nearly an hour after placing our order, which was definitely a letdown. Would I come back? Yes, but mostly for the palabok. Is it a place I'll crave or go out of my way to revisit? Honestly, probably not. Place is clean and nicely decorated for sure; bathrooms were spotless.

One Piece Lamian specializes in Chinese noodle dishes, all with an efficient QR code ordering…read moresystem and super quick service. We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. The tasty dishes came at a good value, and the service was super friendly too!

There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. The pig ears were piled up with no fillers - something hard to find these days. You can select the type of noodles so I picked the widest while my husband picked the middle one. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.

I found myself in Fremont recently and, in classic Angela fashion, had a violent craving for noodle…read moresoup. I actually have one of Ox 9's other locations bookmarked but when I found out there was a branch in Fremont, I detoured to try them out. I came on a weekend for early lunch, and the restaurant was quite empty and spacious. There is a window that allows you to see where the sausage (noodles) get made (pulled). Located in a strip mall, there is ample parking. Two friendly women told me to sit wherever and order via QR code. I deliberated for a hilariously long time over the width of my noodles but ultimately decided on the beef and pickled veggie noodle soup with the thin flat noodles, as well as an order of the lamb skewers. The food came out reasonably fast, given that the noodles are hand-pulled, and the portions were HUGE. The lamb skewers were highly rated online and I can see why. They are perfectly spiced and so flavorful, without being so coated that the texture changes, and they have the PERFECT fat to lean ratio so they were unbelievably succulent, but not cloying. An order is 3 decent-sized skewers and I absolutely housed those. Next I was served a huge bowl of steaming, fresh noodles. The small flat noodle was the perfect size for me, as they were already quite wide. I was not looking to chew through literal dough sheets so I am glad I didn't opt for any wider noodle size. The texture of the noodles was sublime, so QQ so springy, you can really tell that they are hand-pulled. The slight imperfections and difference in thickness between noodles gave each bite a unique chew that was so addicting. I wish the physical dimensions of the bowl were a bit bigger because the noodles were a bit tangled and clumpy and I would have liked a bit more room to mix and spread them out. The beef noodle soup broth was just ok, I think the flavor could have been a bit deeper and stronger, but I could appreciate a savory beefy flavor. The pairing of pickled vegetables and tender beef is a classic though, and I do appreciate the clean, soothing taste. There is chili oil, soy sauce, and vinegar at every table so I added a bit more salt and spice to mine. Portions were HUGE and I was already getting full from the lamb skewers, so I took a good amount home. I packed the noodles and soup separately, and the superior gluten formation of fresh noodles held up to a day in the fridge, and were still quite tasty when reheated on stovetop. I loved this place and would absolutely return to try the other noodle dishes and noodle dimensions, as well as get more of their fabulous skewers.
