Broasted chicken is all you need to know! Maharlika specializes in the pressured frying technique and serves up huge platters of these pressure fried chicken. They offer platters of different sizes but everytime we've ordered, we get the biggest one and indulge in the leftovers afterwards. They're great for parties, but please make sure to call ahead and be on time for your pick up! This mom and pop store is a small operation, so give them ample time to prepare and show them the love! Aside from chicken, they also serve up lumpia and other traditional Filipino dishes. They also have combos for folks looking for a quick lunch or snack without breaking the bank. On our last visit, we ordered a lot of their chicken with lumpia. It was almost too much for me to carry by myself to the car so the shop owner offered their cart to help me bring out the food. Their service is great and very welcoming. The parking lot can get a bit hectic as this small little mall has a few local favorites for meals and snacks including Maharlika. The spots are tight but if all else fails, there is additional street parking just around the corner. We haven't had much issue finding parking but I'd imagine the peak dinner hours on the weekends can get a bit much. Overall, if you're craving for Filipino cuisine or have never tried broasted chicken, you need to make your way here to Maharlika! The crispy texture and tasty chicken meat will have you salivating for more. Eat them fresh or rebake them in your oven or air fryer for leftovers. Some of the pieces can include a big piece of bone with your meat, almost like a chicken lollipop so be wary when biting into one of these yummy goodness - I know it's hard to wait!

Solid place for ordering Broasted Chicken and lumpia trays. You cannot compete with the prices. If you're ordering any other trays for food it's best to give them at least a couple weeks lead time. If not, especially for orders with meat, they may not be able to accommodate your order. Speaking for experience here. I'm not gonna lie, the first time I went in the man there was kinda off putting, and it made me question if I should go somewhere else. So if he's there there and he seems kind of... "stern" or "dry"... shrug it off. He's cool. We all got an Uncle like that lol. Once you start talking to him, it dissipates. The woman (I've only seen her once on the weekend) was like the nice Tita. She's even insisted I use their cart to bring my orders to the car. (Idk if only Filipinos are gonna understand this all haha). They have odd hours, so you have to plan accordingly. Cash only. They have combo specials which are based on what's available. It is worth mentioning: it looks to be an older Filipino couple that runs the show. Take it for what it is and how they are: Truth be told- You will probably have to go in to make your orders (which I have every time) on some "old school" type stuff. I've seen them answer the phone, but you can tell they conduct business mostly in person.

The service is super slow be ready to wait for hours to get your order, when the old lady is working she had the fking Filipino time in her head, I order to pick up food a week before the day of pick up and the old man told me food be ready by 12:30 which I am ok with that, when I went they told me will be ready by 1:30 like wtf... the ambiance is ridiculously you can't sit without being stare by the staff the place is dirty Fremont town and Alameda county health department should take a surprise visit for inspection

Here for the lumpia Shanghai! 100 piece tray and two item plate (broasted chicken and adobo with rice for me) = $45. Amazing taste and value. Also the sweetest family running the place. A real community gem. Cash only. Takeout only.

This review is simply for the catering request that was made few weeks ago. nothing else is included for this review. My friends have been calling for 3-4 days straight before their daughters 1st birthday with no luck. Luckily for them I live in the area and they have asked me to physically go in to place the order for pick up. When I walked in they had many catering orders ready and few people in line. I also noticed that there was no phone line ringing at all when I waited in line for 15-20 mins. This is more than likely why my friend could not place her order for the party. I get to the front finally and I order the 300 lumpia order shanghai style. and she goes hold on. She starts going back to the kitchen and see what they have in place and trying to see if they can do my order. Then says your going to make me work tonight huh? I was thrown off by the comments, as they could have just said yes we can do it for you or no we cannot accept the order. I would have happily taken my business elsewhere if they did not want to take it. My overall experience was not that great here, and the lumpia was not bad for the catering price. But I may want to reconsider doing another catering order from them. Makes me also reconsider if I want to come back for the regular food with the services provided. from the other fellow yelpers with their superb reviews, I may just have to when I am in the mood to be patient.

This review is for take-out only. It's a very small mom & pop shop. My friend placed a phone order on Thursday for a party tray of lumpia to pick up for Saturday. I don't even know how many lumpias he ordered but it was A LOT!! It was very crispy and hot. The sauce that they give is sweet chili sauce. It was pretty tasty! Very addicting to snack on. Definitely a crowd pleaser for large gatherings! Recommend!

LENT 2025: THIRD FRIDAY…read more The previous Friday I ate at a Filipino restaurant for lunch with mixed results. I ordered a crab fried rice, which didn't have crab at all. I was planning to go San Leandro for lunch this past Friday for bangsilog. When I was driving to San Leandro, Highway 880 was so busy due to traffic I decided to come to Adobolicious at the last minute. With the name of the restaurant you might not think this restaurant serves seafood or fish. I looked at photos and noticed seafood dishes like bangsilog. When I came Adobolicious at the last minute I wasn't setting great expectations. I was thinking about getting appetizers, but I decided just to order bangsilog. A deboned bangus in my opinion the only way to eat that fish because there are so many little bones that are inedible. However most of fried, deboned bangus I ate tend to be jerky. The fried bangus I ate at Adobolicious was better than I expected. The meat was moist. The reason was the bangus as stated on the menu is marinated. Even though the breading was light the breading was crispy. Most of all there wasn't a jerky texture from the bangus at Adobolicious as compared to other bangus I ate from other places. If I had to be nitpicky is there are scales on the bangus. I guess that is a traditional preference to make the skin crispy, but I believe the skin of the bangus could maintain its crispiness with the breading. One note about Adobolicious is credit card or debit card isn't accepted for payments. This restaurant accepts cash or Venmo. I know the bangus I ate at Adobolicious isn't the best I ever had however it is better than most bangus I ate at other restaurants.

This definitely used to be another restaurant, but then retrofitted to be a grill. Super large grill in the middle for everyone to communally cook at indoors. This is a good combination between the outdoors grill it yourself and the indoors seating of both the SoCal Dollar Hits, so I thought that was nice.
