I know a good creamy Matcha color when I see one! My Matcha - regular with almond milk and a little bit of agave was excellent. The size is a little smaller than I'd like but maybe that's what makes it so good - the perfect amount of ingredients for the size that it is. The person who took my order was also very sweet. I love when people make you feel so understood about how particular you are about the taste of your drink. I would love to come back here next time I'm in town!

I went here on a Sunday morning and it was fairly busy but I was able to enjoy my pizza roll (not pictured) and matcha for a little bit before it got busy. The matcha was good but I favored the pizza roll. I wasn't sure what to expect since it is a rare pastry but I'm already excited to try it again. I will mention that I'm not a matcha snob but I wouldn't mind getting it their matcha again - though I am biased to their mocha Something I really enjoyed was their fall decoration, it was very comforting

I got an espresso and an oat milk macchiato. The espresso was a dark roast, which I really appreciated because most shops that roast in the area do light to medium roast. The result was a full bodied, creamy and layers shot with light acidity balanced with and mild sweetness / notes of fruit. 4/5 Oat milk complemented the espresso well in the macchiato. Added texture without overpowering the flavor. 4/5.

I had the pineapple upside down cake today and loved it. It hit the nostalgic spot from my childhood. It was well done. The whipped cream in the center and maybe the last 25% of it was where I started losing enjoyment so would be a great dessert to share with someone else since it's a lot of sweetness for just one. I also tried the iced strawberry matcha latte today and it's a nice change of pace but sadly both the regular matcha latte, hot or cold, and this don't make my list of top places to get matcha in Oakland or the Bay Area. If I'm coming to Timeless, I'm coming for the pastries, baked goods, and food, over the drinks personally. Regardless, Timeless continues to be one of my most favorite spots given its wonderful collection of vegan offerings and I will continue to recommend.

    Vegan amazingness.

Outstanding coffee, food, baked goods and a chill environment that isn't overwhelming.

My go tos are the matcha latte, apple and cherry pastries, and the hot tea selection. Staff is always kind and sweet! I swear they only hire cool people, lol. It's a great place to journal and catch up with myself and on some work. Although I wish there were more plugs! Vibes are great regardless. Not vegan anymore but loveeee not having to worry about dairy for my tummy's sake

Pastries are usually pretty tasty here. The drinks are hit or miss but usually good. Cherry cheesecake 7/10 (crust was not good) Snickerdoodle 10/10 (super soft) Americano 6/10 (burnt) Hot cocoa 9/10 (not too sweet)

My favorite place for vegan sweets in all of Bay Area. I've been allergic to dairy my entire life and the cake slices here are just unreal (best vegan cakes I've ever tasted). My non vegan friends also really love the desserts! Out of pastries, really love the almond croissant! Have also tried: strawberry cheesecake, tiramisu cake, vanilla latte

Great place for some sweet or savory vegan pastries. They have a variety of cakes, scones, donuts, and pies. I'm a big fan of the donuts.

My husband (coffee snob) loves this place. We have been to both locations and came here so I could work on my novel while he takes photos nearby but as a not coffee drinker my $7 matcha was a flop. The seats are uncomfortable, though the space is nice. There is also no WiFi. Luckily I don't *need* WiFi to work but I just wish places shared candidly when they don't have WiFi bc I feel many people do come to cafes to work. It's vegan so the milk options are oat, almond, and soy. I wanted to taste the matcha so I got soy but it does taste watery and wasn't sweet to my personal liking. Again my husband loves this place so it's a 4 bc of him but for me the matcha is a 3 if not 2 star drink.

I had to update my review because Gregory's is absolutely the best bakery in town!…read more First of all, Gregory is incredibly kind, and his desserts are AMAZING. A few years ago, there was definitely a dip in communication when I was trying to order a birthday cake, but since then, I've had the pleasure of enjoying Gregory's treats many times. His cheesecake is truly unlike any I've ever had. The chocolate brownies and chocolate chip cookies are so good, they'll make you feel like you're not even on planet Earth! Seriously, they're that delicious. And the chocolate cake? It tastes like it was baked by a sweet Southern grandmother. It literally melts in your mouth. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that every time I go, I buy all four items and happily eat them over the next few days! Hands down, Gregory's is the BEST BAKERY IN OAKLAND. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out!

I got the New York cheesecake, sweet potato cake, peach cobbler, and chocolate chip walnut cookie. The New York cheesecake was incredible. The tang of the cream cheese was prominent and refreshing, emphasized by the thick layer of sour cream on top. The crust was thin but crispy and the cake was a beautiful golden brown. Easily the best thing I ate from this place. The sweet potato cake was very alike a carrot cake but a bit richer. The cake was moist and not very sweet potato forward but nicely spiced. In between the two layers of cake and on top of them was a thick layer of cream cheese frosting. Even as someone with a major sweet tooth, I found the sugar level of the frosting to be way too much for the amount I was given. After eating this slice, I would not want to eat sugar for a week at least. The peach cobbler was not to my taste. I prefer a crispier topping, and found that the cobbler was just mush with some peaches. It was well spiced, but I found the flavor a bit perfume-like. We popped it in the oven to crisp it up and, though it was improved, I still did not enjoy the flavor or mushy texture. The chocolate chip and walnut cookie was classic and comforting, but very well done. The cookie itself was nutty and well toasted, which balanced beautifully with the slight bitterness of the chocolate chips. The walnuts added to the crunch of the cookie but the cookie itself was on the softer side with a slight crisp around the edges. Overall, I would definitely go back and try more desserts. There were so many options and even then most things were already sold out. It's a cute and small bakery that definitely has some tasty surprises!

I loved the ambiance, it felt we was in another country. The place was packed I have no idea where everyone parked haha. Very hard to find parking. They had a large selection I couldn't try them all haha. I would love to try more tea and coffee options as well. Go and try out several different pastries and discover what you like. It's cheaper than buying an airplane ticket to try another countries culture and delights. They also have outside seating which is especially nice on a beautiful day. We went mainly for drinks and tried a latte, tiramisu latte, and a Spanish latte. The tiramisu latte and Spanish latte were both really good and definitely my favorites. Smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. You can tell the coffee quality is solid. We also tried the matcha drinks in vanilla and strawberry. I liked the strawberry matcha more. It comes unsweetened, so I asked for it to be sweetened and it was great after that. The vanilla matcha was fine too, just not my top pick. They're also dropping a new Ramadan drink soon, a date latte, which sounds really good and I'll probably come back just to try that. Overall, great drinks and a nice place to hang out.

We used to visit their other location in the city, but we've been coming to this location more…read moreoften lately because we feel more comfortable in this area. Overall, it's been a good experience every time. Parking can be challenging depending on the time of day. Most of the parking is on the street, so you'll need to keep an eye out for pedestrians and bicyclists while looking for a spot. That's probably the biggest inconvenience of visiting this place. There is usually a 15 to 20-minute wait whenever we come for dessert, but we've always been seated within the quoted wait time, which we appreciate. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so the dining area can feel crowded. Tables are very close together, and you're practically sitting back-to-back with other guests. Because of this, the noise level can get pretty high, and it's easy to overhear conversations from nearby tables. The desserts are the highlight here. The BingSu is excellent, and the lava cake is one of our favorites. The menu is accessed through a QR code, making ordering simple and convenient. Food portions are decent, although prices are definitely on the premium side. Service is efficient, and the food and desserts usually arrive pretty quickly. We used to go to their city location regularly, but over the years we've found ourselves visiting this location more often because the area feels more comfortable and convenient for us. That has made this our go-to spot whenever we're craving dessert. Overall, this is a great place for dessert. The quality of the desserts keeps us coming back, but the difficult parking situation and cramped seating prevent it from being a full 5-star experience. Would definitely return for the BingSu and lava cake.

My personal favorite is the Kyoto Matcha - the matcha is high-quality, with a vivid green color and rich flavor that balances beautifully with the creamy cheesecake base. The Original is a classic for a reason with deeply caramelized top and creamy interior. I also tried the Iribancha, a roasted green tea flavor. It's intense, smoky, and unique..maybe not one I could finish in one sitting, but definitely memorable and recommend for those who want that earthy/smoky taste. The truffle was also a standout, adding just enough umami to round out the sweetness. Preorders drop via Instagram (@basukucheesecakes) and sell out lightning-fast.
