We discovered this bakery on a whim walking by and decided to get some work done here. There's plenty of room here and has great wifi. The area is spacious and does not feel stuffed whatsoever. We got a snickerdoodle and lemon bar and the snickerdoodle was so fall apart and soft. The crumbles were delicious and we needed to eat every bit of it. The lemon bar was quite tart and the shortbread was a nice balance for the taste. The baked goods are made with the utmost quality here so highly recommend~ read more

Get there early! The best darn snickerdoodle I've ever experienced. Flavorful and oh so soft. Also had the regular choc chip cookie- so yummy. The ham and cheese croissant was warm and gooey. I used to come here regularly prior to the pandemic but haven't been in the neighborhood much since then. I enjoyed it then and I'm enjoying my experience today. I ordered a Chai Latte and was happy that they made it with Oatmilk so I didn't have to ask. The barista provided excellent service and actually asked if I wanted cinnamon prior to giving me the latte. I did and it was a nice addition. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie with walnuts, shhh I didn't really need it, lol. The cookie was good but would've been better heated. I didn't ask so there's that. My gut says this is at least a 4 star local spot but I had a 3 star experience so that's the review I'm giving them. Interior was far too cold, I would have needed a jacket or hoodie (that I didn't need outside" to feel comfortable eating there. The food and coffee was okay but I payed as much as I do at Starbucks for less filling portions and latte that tastes a bit too flat for a morning coffee. They also gave me the wrong order. I ordered a turkey lunch bagel and I was handed a turkey breakfast bagel. It was in a brown bag and I left before fully realizing what had happened. The guy said "turkey" and "bagel" which is quite similar. I have a feeling that with this being fairly close to me I'll try it another day. Maybe. Not a great way to start my morning. read more

Nice bakery. Conveniently located near the auto mechanic I was trying for the first time. I got a breakfast bagel ( The California ) and did some work on my laptop while waiting for the mechanic to finish my car. Unfortunately their WiFi didn't have internet connection that day. The bagel was tasty. Bacon combines well with warm egg. I'm told it's one of their most popular items. Makes sense. I'd order it again. The place is dog friendly. nice spacious little cafe in downtown oakland, and there was always a short line. they offer loads of food and drink options, and get pretty creative with them! the seasonal banana milk latte did taste of banana but it was kind of artificial. the maple cardamom latte was better but I felt it could be stronger. I liked that both were not that sweet! we tried the egg/cheddar cheese/meat bagel and the california bagels, and they were nice and filling. the bagels weren't too dense and were soft. overall, a satiating quick meal with affordable prices! read more

I used to love this place but quite disappointed in the sandwich. I ordered the spicy chipotle chicken sandwich. It is actually quite spicy (for poc standards) but I was let down by the portion size of the chicken. My sandwich had two slices of chicken. Brother's deli offers a better chicken chipotle sandwich with large portions for a similar price point. My latte was satisfactory. The customer service was great. And the space is perfect for work study. However, it's freezing here so be weary of that during winter. read more

I've have been here some years ago for their coffee but this time I get to try their bagels. I loved it! I got the everything bagel Turkey club sandwich bagel. It's well toasted with the crispy on the outside then soft and tasty with everything else in between. I also ordered a lavender latte. I thought it would be sweet but it is not and light on the lavender taste. The bagel cost me $13 ish with tax but you can get the basic egg, cheddar cheese, and a choice of meat for $8. This place is a hidden gem! Owned and run by the sweetest family and staff. The baked goods are fantastic. The coffee is excellent. They have the best homemade bagels that I have had outside of NYC. A local Oakland bakery shop known for their bagels, this spot felt like home on first visit due to open ambiance as well as the very welcoming workers here. Ordering here is fast but also a unique experience because was able to learn that the chai here was sourced themselves and able to learn about the store reputation. Food is freshly made here and if there is discrepancies for wanting switch bagel or anything inside, the workers will let you know and you'll be comfortable in voicing it enough over here; reminded me of family so you won't feel worried about needs being met here. Wonderful staff and wonderful food, strolling here on an Oakland morning and ending up here feels like a beautiful routine. read more

It's 11:30am on a Monday, and there is a line! To me, it feels like this place has got to be good. I didn't wait in line too long which was nice because it flowed pretty quickly. We only ordered drinks because we were in a hurry. We ordered a large vanilla oat milk latte, a medium oat milk macha latte, and a hot chocolate. Unfortunately, they don't have whipped cream for the hot chocolate but at $3.50 for the drink it's a bargain and the barista added a cute foam art float on top. The drinks were okay, no frills, but get the job done. The customer service was nice. read more

I went here on a Sunday morning to get some coffee and do light reading. We got the regular latte and vanilla latte. I wasn't asked for milk type but I'm assuming they have options. The coffee was bitter and watery for me but my friend liked his. We also got a Jalapeño bagel with roasted cherry tomatoes cream cheese and a regular croissant. The bagel was fresh and even though it wasn't toasted it tasted like it was. I finished it in two minutes. The croissant was asmr flaky, soft in the mouth and very delightful. I regretted not trying the chocolate one. They have a great selection of food and the food tastes good but the drinks weren't on par. The space has good seating for big groups or small ones. They are a couple two-seaters at the back corner of the store. It's away from the main area so it's ideal if you want to get some work done to sit there. I didn't notice any wifi or outlets. Parking is also a hit or miss. You can do a quick pick up if you like. The service is good and the ambiance is simple. read more
