We had a party of four today and we did the room "Under Pressure". We were greeted quickly and got to the room a few minutes before our reservation. The rules were made clear and the game was well explained by the in person host and pre recorded video. We were told that this was one of the more difficult rooms and we didn't make a lot of progress during the first 20 minutes, but once we got into a rhythm, we began to solve puzzle after puzzle until we were ultimately able to "escape". This is a great thing as I've been rooms operated by other companies that were very convoluted and not explained very well and we'd spend an exorbitant mount of time trying to solve puzzles that were not well thought out or looking at areas of the room which were not meant to be of any help. We even skipped one puzzle because we were able to escape without it... we cleverly circumvented it by maybe reading too much into one aspect of the global key to escape, and the employee that was watching us said that she'd never seen anyone solve puzzle B without first solving puzzle A, so that was kind of cool! And that's not a knock on the design of the room; we just figured that one part of puzzle B meant that we had to do a certain series of steps and we happened to be right and that gave us the information that allowed us to go on to the next step. I've got the bug now and I want to do more rooms and when we do, we're absolutely coming back to this location!

She mentioned that each room was carefully thought out and created entirely by her and her husband. We were in awe as they have about 20 different puzzles in each room! We were even able to add a printer for $40 due to a special going on. The staff were super informational and helpful. And for the first time I escaped an escape room, it took about an hour and I did use the 3 clues we were allotted (2 people). This place is super awesome. We always wanted to check this place out, but we kept putting it off…read moreevery time. My sister and I finally suggested to do it on a Sunday night. The lady on the phone was kind and very helpful in explaining the set up. Tickets are $27 per person and each room has a minimum requirement. If a room has a minimum requirement of 4, you must pay for the 4 over the phone or in person in order to book and hold your spot. You may bring additional people to pay up front, but only up to the maximum number of people. Our first time they suggested misfortune and it was a lot of phone. We came in today and we tried Kidnapped. Both rooms were full of excitement and codes. The kidnapped room is for 5-10 people, so we paid 5 over the phone and 3 others paid in person. They ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the time so that they can go over the rules. Although, $27 may seem like a lot to some people it is well worth it. We have never had as much fun as we had playing together and trying to finish with limited time left. We are excited to check out another room soon! Be sure to look at the website to determine the room that best fits your group size.

The woman on the phone was fast and made the process easy. There were a few things I did not like though. The room said 2-8 people. I ttold her possibly 4 would be joining. It also said online $25 per person when I clicked two people. She stated that I needed to pay for all 4, and that if I only paid for two she would charge me $70 instead of $100 for 4 people. I thought that was really strange. She then took my card information and did not offer me a confirmation email. She just said she would see us 15 minutes prior and that if we were late we would need to schedule a different time or get store credit. I asked if I was getting a confirmation email, and she said she can send me it if I needed it. These were the only things that made the experience odd. When we arrived the lady working was super nice. She went over all of the rules and explained the process. We finished the room in 45 minuted but she was just getting another room started so we waited a few minutes. This wasnt too big of a deal as it isnt typically expected that a group finishes too early. She was super nice and took photos for us. The room seemed pretty easy and they give you three hints if you want to use them. It was not that complex as the ones I have been to. I think it is a good beginner room for sure.

Helpful and friendly staff, available to give clues if needed. Harry Houdini died in Detroit on Halloween in 1926, so it felt appropriate to do this room during Halloween weekend. Our instructor was very clear with their safety instructions and how it's very important to leave the full protective body suit on. We felt like ghost busters and were sweating bullets but it was worth it... let me repeat you will be SWEATING as it's very hot in the suits but for your protection. I asked the instructor has anyone ever hurt themselves and they said yes those who took off their suit while in the room. We knew for a fact we wouldn't be doing that. Once in the room you can hook up your phone and play your own music and then that's where the fun begins. I was in a room with a friend and we had bats, hammer and crowbars with box full of glass plates, cups and other items smash and break. The idea overall seems crazy but it was very fun and almost therapeutic. They stated that you can bring your own items to break if you'd like and the instructor mentioned that one person brought in a TV to smash. Overall very fun experience.
