Did the prison escape room and it was incredible. Without giving much away, you start the room in three different prison cells so I recommend 6 people (3 groups of 2) for the best experience. It was the most fun escape room I have ever done. Having done somewhere around 5 others in the past, I can say this was the perfect difficulty level. It also helps to have a larger group to spread out and do multiple puzzles at once as they lead towards the same final puzzle. This room was a little bit on the harder side but we got through it without using any lifelines (where they just give you the answer to the puzzle if you're REALLY stuck) though they did give us our fair share of small hints on the little screen. That said the difficulty does adjust to your level to some extent. TLDR: Best escape room I've been to! I recommend the prison room especially with 6 people! read more

First, I felt that I had issues finding the front door of this place... so maybe it's a break in before escaping out. Next, we tried to call to inform them we were having troubles finding the entrance causing to be a few minutes late however they did not pick up (we were the first session of the day). While in the escape room, I will say it was incredibly toasty and I wish there were a couple more vents in the rooms themselves to provide some ventilation. Finally, without exposing the escape room, I felt all the puzzles were linear and so without the continued clues it would have been impossible to complete the room in the time limit given. I feel that if they wanted to do this room without any clues it would need to be a 2-3 hour room although the puzzles were well designed. Finally, there was no like end picture of us breaking out which would be a nice addition to the experience. read more

We went the Erebus Haunted Attraction earlier this week. While in line for shirts, we saw cards with the Erebus Escape room. They had a promo code on them to save $3 per person. For some reason, the code did not work at all which was disappointing. I mentioned this to the person that greeted us and she said she would let her manager know. We weren't given that discount though. That's the only reason I give it a 4/5. We walked over to a lockers. We were instructed to put our phones and any other belongings in it. We were given a key for it to keep while we go into the escape room. We went over all the rules and then walked over to the room. One of the rooms we wanted was sold out, so we chose lock down. I must say the room was pretty difficult and a lot of fun. We finished with barely any time to spare. The screen shows you little hints along the way. We got our photo taken at the end. I did mention to the other woman that we would like to come back again, and if the code will work in the future. She said they will work on fixing it. read more

We had an amazing time at this escape room! We got professional instruction and we were super Impressed with the number of rooms and challenges in the Egyptian themed room. We really felt like we were in a movie! The only thing was we got clues maybe slightly too frequently and slightly too quickly after we started to figure out a clue/challenge, but you could probably adjust that by mentioning something at the start. Would definitely come back and try some more of the rooms! read more

Erebus Escape - Parking and front doof - Escape Games Near Me - Pontiac, Michigan

I was looking for an escape room that was a little further north of where we live in Novi to be a little more flexible for everybody who is going to attend. After a quick yelp search I discovered that Erebus had only five star reviews! Naturally I pick this place to go and started to figure out what room we wanted to do. We ended up picking the eye of Horus, which we found out was the second hardest after we completed the room. We were not allowed to take our cameras into the escape room so I was unable to get any photos. I don't know what this building was before the escape room but it clearly was not something built just for this business. I really liked how it took advantage of an older building and utilized it in a new way. Our guide through this adventure was Jena. She gave us mint hints to try and help us along in the puzzle. We did end up using all three clues and we were able to solve the puzzle! Two quick things to note though. Our escape room was 4:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday and it was pretty brisk in the room when we arrived. However when we left we definitely could feel that the hallways were warmer. Also our escape room did require a flight of stairs to be climbed. So if you have any mobility issues you may want to double check if the room that you were about to book does have stairs. read more

This was our second time at Erebus escape room. We did Eye of Horus with friends last week and liked it so much we came back again to do Lockdown. Both rooms were well designed and challenging. The puzzles were engaging and surprising as well. We had Sage and Jenna who both did an awesome job keeping us on track. Afterwards we walked to Fillmore 13 for dinner. It is a great night out and I highly recommend. read more

Erebus Escape - We escaped!!! Great time! - Escape Games Near Me - Pontiac, Michigan

Erebus Escape - escape rooms We played Body of Evidence. It is a creative and unique escape room. There were a few puzzles I hadn't seen before or done in new and unique ways, which is a huge compliment since I've played 500 escape rooms...I've seen a lot. It is a game I would recommend for adults. The theme is a bit dark for youngsters. It starts out like a pretty straight forward funeral parlor but gets quite horror by the end. They rank it Mystery but I would say it's more horror mystery. Overall it's a unique and interesting escape room! read more

Our first Escape Room j- went with our 2 grandkids (13 and 11) - we had such a great time, we went again the next day !! The guys that own this place are very nice and they take great pride in their business....we will definitely go back....with the grandkids and with some of our friends. read more

My boyfriend and I were in town visiting my parents and our plans were ruined for the day due to rain. My boyfriend is a huge fan of escape rooms, so I went to Yelp to see what was around and found Erebus. I looooved their haunted house when I lived in Michigan so was sure their escape rooms had to be top notch. When I saw that a reviewer had gone to over 500 escape rooms and gave this one 5 stars, we made the reservation for Body of Evidence. This was the largest escape room I've been in, it had the most rooms and the decor was incredible...and incredibly gory! I loved the suspense of moving around the coffins and bodies even though I knew they weren't real. The puzzles were also very interactive and fun, this one required a minimum of 4 people and we needed all hands on deck. We didn't finish the final puzzle in time but were so close. The crew was great at check in and we had a fun time chatting with them after and having them show us how to solve everything in the end. I'll be sure to visit another one next time we are back in town, the new Egyptian one looks awesome!!! read more

We have done 2 rooms here now. Escaped one just missed by minutes on the other. The rooms are so much fun and the staff is great

Jenna was awesome, would love to do this again soon! I'm excited for the new puzzles coming out next year!

Staff there was very friendly and made the escape room a great experience. Their rooms are very well thought out and fun. Can't wait to go back for the new rooms coming up. Highly recommended read more

My friends and I have been to many escape rooms in Michigan and since we are based in Flint we did both rooms here one after another. We had so much fun! Brad was our game master and he was good about helping us when we really needed help. Compared to a lot of rooms we've done both rooms at Erebus were really immersive. Definitely one of our favorite escape room places we've been to. We will definitely be back for their ancient Egypt themed room when it opens! read more

Wow! Authentic, real experience - challenging, but fair and logical - makes you think but also super engaging for our group - this place is a must for corporate team engagement - and also just all out family fun! read more

Best escape room in Michigan by far. Their attention to detail and cleverness was on full display during our visit on Saturday night. We did the jailhouse escape (group of 7) and it really felt like we were in a jail cell. The difficulty was at the perfect level and I was pretty pumped when we succeeded, especially when I found out that the success ratio was just a bit above 30 %. Our entire group was so happy with the adventure that we immediately wanted to do another one, but unfortunately not everyone could stay. We've already begun planning a return visit. Check this place out, you'll love it. read more

My friends and I have done both the Body of Evidence and Lockdown rooms and both times were super fun and challenging. We beat Lockdown with literally 15 seconds to spare, and we were told we held the record for beating Body of Evidence with 13.50 minutes left (we had more people for this one). The Game Master helps a lot along the way when you seem a little stuck which was super helpful. They let you problem solve yourself but don't leave you to fail alone like other escape rooms in the area. The attention to detail in each room was beyond realistic. A lot more thought out than other escape rooms in the area. Booking and check-in was also super easy and staff was extremely friendly! Can't wait for more rooms to open up here :) We'll definitely be back! read more

Erebus Escape - Escape Games Near Me - Pontiac, Michigan

Hands down one of the best escape rooms I've ever done. Much thought and time was put into these rooms. We will be back!!!

This was such a fun experience! I didn't know this existed until we went to the haunted house. We went as a group of four and did the jail cell one. We were able to solve it. The only issue we had was when we asked for a lifeline they didn't respond to us. I'm not sure if they didn't hear us or what happened. Over all I would go again! read more

Great place , excellent nice staff, overall much fun was had! Can't wait to experience another one!

It's racist asf they literally came and got us because we are black! I didn't touch anyone and I just told the actress to go away and they put us out and we paid vip! Like wtf they didn't tell us why we had to leave just told us we had to leave ! Racist asf! Literally don't support if your black ! read more

We played the body of evidence game last Saturday. We were paired up with another foursome, and had a lot of fun. When we got stumped our handler gave us hints to keep us from getting frustrated. They put a lot of detail into these rooms, props and puzzles. Highly recommend. This was our first experience in an escape room. Made it out with only seconds to spare! read more

After trying most of the popular escape rooms in metro Detroit, it's an easy choice to say Erebus Escape is my favorite so far! The quality of staging that has gone into this escape game is on par with the experience you've come to expect from the Erebus brand. It feels realistic and I love how detailed the entire experience is. I think you get the most bang for your buck too! 30$ a person for a fun hour of high quality entertainment is the most reasonable in the area. Many places will charge almost double for a lower quality experience. Currently the lockdown game is available with a few more scenarios to be released later this year. I can't wait until the rest of the games are released to go back and try more! read more

Did the Body of Evidence escape, the room was so real and had GREAT puzzles! 10/10 room and the staff was awesome! Olivia is the sweetest!! She gave the best clues and was sooooo helpful!! Will 100% be returning to do Eye of Horus and the Lockdown! read more

We were able to easily book a time to go, and fill out any necessary forms online. You needed to play our scenario with 3 or more people, so my husband and I were put with another group (which was fine just an FYI if you want to be with friends). Our challenges were difficult, but not impossible to solve. There was definitely a lot of time and thought put into the design and layout. It made the whole experience very immersive and engaging. It was appropriately priced. We would definitely recommend this to others. read more

My husband and I have been to many escape rooms in Michigan and this is probably the best of them! We did Lockdown and had a great time! Elaborate props, attention to detail, well thought out rooms, challenging but the clues make sense! The experience was made even better by Zach (our "handler"). We got a glimpse of the newer room to come and let me tell you, the props look amazing and the room looks incredible! We can't wait for it to open so we can try it out. Can't say enough about this place. If you're looking for an escape room, don't give this a second thought. Just go! read more

Outta site!! Celebrated my fiftieth birthday with family and friends at the Erebus Escape. It was magnificent. We had a ball cracking the codes, solving the puzzles, and trying to escape. The adventure was extremely well thought out and executed. The decorations and props were incredible. But, most importantly, Brad (the gentleman running the place) was super. Friendly, hospitable and fun to work with. We have spread the word to people in our circle and friends are begging to go back. We shall return! I just hope we make it back out this time........... read more

Great escape room. I had tons of fun. They are very clean and follow guidelines. The staff are very helpful and fun.

Hardest escape room yet. Excellent layout and complex puzzles. Great for a small group!

Erebus Escape - Escape Games Near Me - Pontiac, Michigan

TLDR: This is the absolute best escape room that I have done! Background: We are a group of three friends who have known each other for a long time. We have found escape rooms to be a great evening activity for us. We tend to prefer to attend these rooms alone. We have done around 20 of these rooms (all in the metro Detroit area) This Visit: I visited Erebus Escape with my group of 3 late on Sunday night. They were very easy to coordinate schedules and we were excited to start playing the second we saw the outside of their building. The building is an old church like place that has more charm than any other escape facility that I've seen (usually they sit in some bland office/warehouse space!) After being let into the space, we were directed to their registration lobby to wait for our room to be available. The amount of effort that the team put into the lobby was immediately noticeable and indicated a high level of professionalism. This level of concern for the customer experience is exactly what EVERY escape experience should have! Our host was very personable and provided a great intro to the room. Our next stop was the room. To get there, we traveled up the stairs of this 1940/50's building (again, their building adds SO much to the experience!). The room itself was the absolute best-constructed room I have ever attended. Everything was solidly constructed. We really felt like we were in a real jail cell. Their attention to detail made me feel the stress of being locked up. Our team stress level immediately rose and the adrenaline really kicked in. The gameplay was superb. This room had some of the most amazing technical aspects. Their subtle use of low tech to augment the high tech puzzles integrated so seamlessly into the theme and story of the room, We never felt pulled back to reality as tends to occur in escape rooms. Finally, the one aspect of an escape room that is hardest to get perfect, is the communication with your gamemaster. I will say, this is where I think Erebus is good but not great. Our favorite clue systems are built by the guys at Breakout (A2/Royal Oak). They use an aspect of the theme to provide you clues (letters in a mailbox, automated fortune teller spitting out cards etc). Erebus uses a more typical screen-based solution, BUT this should really not take anything away from the experience. This solution requires that the gamemaster be attentive and excellent at his job... and our game master was BOTH (and in spades!). His method of providing clues was exactly that---CLUES--- (which is EXACTLY how it should be done!). The worst game masters will say something like "do you want me to just tell you the code?". This kind of interaction immediately pulls you out of the theme of the room. By acting as a character in the room and subtly indicating places to direct our attention, we were able to beat the room in just under the 60 minutes. If any small adjustment to this clue system could be made, a heftier backstory for the character who is providing the clues could further embed the player into the game. (i.e. you know that one inmate escaped last night and he is communicating to you via something... blah blah..) I can't say how excited I am for Erebus to finish the rest of their rooms. I will be escaping from all of them! Thanks for a great experience guys, you really made our week! read more

Me and some friends did the 'Lockdown' escape room, and it was a lot of fun. They create a great environment for a group of people to attack a problem while simultaneously being enough help to keep you from getting frustrated. Its well worth the price, and I'm going to go back and try different scenarios as they expand. read more

Body of Evidence was one of our favorite rooms! You can tell there was a lot of time and thought put into the room! Everyone who worked there was so friendly and we had an amazing experience all around! My group and I have done over 40 escape rooms and Erebus Escape really stood out to us! I am from Cleveland, but if I ever go back to Michigan I will definitely come back again to do more rooms! read more

What an adventure! This escape room was challenging, thrilling, difficult, fun, team building and exciting!! If you're looking for a great escape room, this is a must do. Also, it's Erebus but not scary. It does have some haunted house special effects but they only add to the experience. Plus they are building more rooms to open soon so you can go back for more. read more

This was probably the best escape room I've done and I've done quite a few. The props, special effects, and story were all top notch. It was very challenging but doable as we did escape. Plan to return to do their upcoming room. Totally worth the drive out to Pontiac! read more

We went on a family fun night. 5 of us with the youngest being 16. Everyone had a blast. Difficult enough to be very challenging but if we spun our wheels too much in one area a hint was available. We did the lockdown escape where we had to escape a prison cell. The facility was modern and well done. They had a very nice lobby and registering online was a breeze. There could be better signage out front but there was plenty of close parking. We will definitely go back to try another challenge. read more

I can't say enough good about Erebus Escape! Our group of friends have now done the Lockdown and Body of Evidence rooms, and had a blast with each. The attention to detail far surpasses the other popular escape room venues in the area, and the puzzles are very clever. Both times, we had a puzzle not work correctly, and the staff was quick to help us out each time, giving us back a few minutes of puzzle time for the inconvenience - which was definitely appreciated. The staff is super attentive and friendly, and pays much better attention - and gives better clues - than other escape room venues we have been to. We will definitely be back when new rooms become available, and can't wait to see what surprises come next! read more
