One thing that surprised me was the number of food trucks available for guests. I didn't realize they would have so many options! I liked seeing the variety of food, including elephant ears and walking tacos. My friend decided to try the walking tacos and said they were just alright. I didn't end up ordering anything myself. As for the haunted attractions, some of the actors definitely put in the effort to make the experience entertaining, while others mostly stood in one spot and spoke without doing much else. I didn't find the asylum particularly scary. The walk through inside of the basement didn't have any unexpected scary moments. It was mainly walk, look and then you exit. It smelt horrible inside of the basement of the asylum. Alot of people were helpful and kind that worked at the asylum. I liked the area to take pictures with friends and family. It was nice experiencing something new, but overall, the haunted attraction was just an average experience for me.

I attended an event at Eloise last fall during the Halloween season and it was amazing! The ambiance was sooo cool and spooky inside Eloise, I met a ton of new people and got to explore part of the building, but I was too nervous for the haunted attraction. The actors and their costumes in it were the most realistic I've ever seen. Very cool experience all around. I hope to do the escape room this fall!

We had a great time celebrating my birthday at Game Show Battle Rooms! Make sure to plan in advance…read morebecause slots get snapped up quickly - they are very popular! There are 2 styles to choose from and we opted for Primetime which ended up being a family feud type game, match game, and minute-to-win-it type games. All of them were really fun, with great prompts and I guess they come up with new content every 2 months so you can return and not worry about repeat play. Our host was Scott was joined by MC Pinky, and they were really great - we had 2 kids in our group so they were nice, funny and had good energy all while keeping it inclusive and appropriate. You have to book for at least 8 people or more and we only had 7 but it wasn't an issue to play that way, we just had to pay for the 8. It was around $42 each (without optional tip), and there's a bar in the lobby if you want to purchase drinks or food. My whole family had a blast and I think we'll definitely be back!

Upon arrival you fill out an electronic waiver and can order a drink from the bar. Once your group is checked in, you divide into teams and they hand out name tags and explain how it works. Once in the game room, time flies! We did three different game styles and all were a hit! The hosts Terron and Vegas were friendly, good at keeping the energy up and provided a great experience for our group! They made the experience even better and were great with our group! I knew it sounded fun but it was a great time and I definitely want to come back with another group! If you go: the entrance is off a corridor pass through hallway that connects the parking garage to the main strip of restaurants in front. Parking will be easier and more plentiful in the garage so I suggest parking there.

However, what really sold me were two things: (1) the customer service of the staff and (2) the arcade's strive for innovation and progression in enhancing the VR experience. The staff where very kind and accommodating, even with our large party of 7. They did their best to provide a wide range of games for us to play. In addition, after our time was up, my friends and I got to beta test their first multiplayer VR backpacks. Imagine being able to physically move around and play with your friends in an open space - awesome, right? This is a but a glimpse of what Escape VR at Oxford, MI can provide to the public. I'm only in Michigan for vacation this weekend, but this visit was the most memorable. As an engineer, I appreciate their innovation and profession in VR, and I hope the next time I visit MIchigan, I get to see how much this place has grown.

This seems like a good idea in theory but the set up doesn't deliver.
