We came here to celebrate my niece's cowboy-themed birthday party and had such a fun time! The theme made it even more special, and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebration. We ordered pizza, beer towers, and pitchers of pop, and everything was great. The environment was lively, and it was a great spot for a group gathering. The staff overall was friendly and the vibe was really enjoyable. The only downside was that our server only stopped by about twice during our visit, so service could have been a bit more attentive. Just a heads up for anyone going--gratuity is automatically added to the bill as part of their policy. Overall, we had an amazing time. Attended a child's bowling birthday party here and it was well organized! The young employee had the energy to capture the attention of the children and gave suggestions on how go spice things up. This bowling alley is very nice! The inside is clean and updated. There is an arcade here, full bar, and easy parking. The food was good! They have typical bar food but it wasn't overly greasy! They offer laser tag as well, but I didn't try the out today. We went on a Sunday and the Lions game was playing on the big screen, so you don't have to miss out on the game to have fun with your family. The kids had fun in the arcade when they got tired of bowling, which allowed the adults to keep bowling competitively against each other. We hosted a small birthday celebration here and really enjoyed the experience. We rented two VIP lanes for 2 hours and had a great time! Our waitress was attentive and super friendly. We ordered a few pizzas, baskets of fries and drinks. There is even a gluten free pizza that received rave reviews, which was good for our gluten free guests. For vegans I believe it's just the French fries on the food menu that is available. Front desk staff was also friendly and helpful when asking questions about planning our event. There's quite a few lanes available between standard and VIP and every single one of them was packed and busy. It's a popular place on the weekends especially. The other games and activities we didn't explore but there was a lot of kids in the arcade area which is a nice option while you wait. The interior itself is really clean. We played a game of bowling, which by the way, was awesome. I also tried my luck at a few of the arcade games and a round of laser tag. Every activity was a lot of fun! The staff was really nice as well. We ordered different food ranging from Quesada Wraps to Chicken Wings, all the way to Burgers. One of the worst experiences was at escape last night. We had reservations at 730, we came here what we thought was going to be a fun family outting, there was 14 of us including my 4 kids (5& under) and my nephew who is 1. My kids love to bowl, matter of fact, I even had my son's birthday here a couple years ago. But last night we were treated so poorly, we had two lanes right infront of the check in desk, the manager, CASS, I believe that's her name, came to us numerous, first was that the lane next to us was complaining that "we were in their lane and to try not to walk by their lane" if you've been there, the lanes are all pretty tight and next to each other, so yes maybe we collided a couple times, no interference with their bowling game whatsoever but it does happened where my foot or possibly my Toddlers foot stepped into the sitting area, I mean it's a busy Friday night.. we said okay Then my brother had a vape (breeze), he smoked it once and this girl cass rannnnn like someones chasing after her to telll him he can't do that, okay understandable, but again in a rude tone. Then my kids who are VERY well behaved and truly enjoy bowling, we're bowling, who had a bumper lane, one bowled in the Dino slide, and the ball was going down the lane, and my 3 year old who was next up to bowl, threw his ball after him, so it was one after the other, here comes CASS again, "YOU CANT THROW TWO BALLS AT ONCE" Okay cass, the bowling police, they are KIDS! There were so many other kids doing the same, but this girl said if she comes back one more time she's going to close our lanes.. unbelievable, my brother went and complained about the people next to us because they were just being so rude and they kept walking in our lane and I see cass gently going to them laughing with them, saying to them "hey they complained just like you guys did" and was just so nice to them, very different then when she approached us like 5x. Mind you, the people that "complained" were also smoking weed pens, two didn't have the proper shoes, but cass says nothing to them. But to us, she was watching us like a hawk, very disturbing. We came here for a family outting, she ruined our night, my kids night, my parents and siblings. Oh and we gave them a card to put on hold for food, they lost the card. It was terrible. Her and that manager with buzzed hair, tall & skinny, both disgusting & racist. I will never step foot there, let alone give them my business. I get why they named it escape. I have never wanted to escape more. The smell of cheap beer and cheese wiz fume up from the unclean carpet. When it comes to the activity of bowling I have mixed feelings. I enjoy it when I am under the influence of either marijuana, lcd, cocaine, shrooms or alcohol. Sadly this was not one of those experiences (it was a family affair). I went to pick out my ball and could not find a large twelve. Big fingers matter too escape. If you don't have big enough balls what else are you compensating about. We got the tater tots and pretzels. I didn't eat any of them but I heard they where good. Can't say on that front. The bowling was average. It was an ok bowling alley. Usually gripping balls comes naturally but I lost all my talents in this building. I put a picture of the person next to us score because I was to embarrassed to look at mine. The crowd was a lot of children and adults drinking alcohol. There was also a fun person who gave me pure enjoyment to watch bowl. You go girl. If you like bowling this place is for you go for it. But if not steer clear friends. Stay safe out there. Pretty decent space to get a group together. Fun facts include an arcade space, a separate area for private parties, and they have some fun lights for night games. One hour game is about $26 and $3 to rent bowling shoes. Seems like they are running low on staff as it took a minute to get some menus and for refills on the fountain drinks. We ordered a large cheese pizza which was very salty and so were the fries we ordered. We came here once before and the pizza was actually pretty good so I think just this time was a miss. I have been coming to this place since it opened as it is super close to home and there are several games that my 3 year old loves to play. It also gives me an excuse to indulge in my vice their coin pusher game. They keep it pretty clean and the machines work consistently. My only gripe is that some staff can be a bit stuffy and sometimes aren't that helpful. One instance was when I went bowling with the boy and they did not help me move the bowling ball roller to my lane. Also, as they only had two plastic dragon rollers, I was forced to use a metal one that fell apart. Finally, when I tried to put it together, I ended up cutting my hand. All the while the older fellow at the desk just sat and watched. At least he gave me a band-aid. I still had a great time, but the experience put me off. Also on later visits, I have seen other staffers help families move the ball rollers. Overall, I think this is a nice place for a party for kid or adult as they have luxury bowling facilities as well. I hope the keep it going. read more

Don't give this place long before shut down. Games are limited and haven't been updated since they have been open. The manger is one of the rudest people personally dealt with. Told us one thing and when we came in he said he doesn't remember me. It was 5 days ago. Wants you to book and pay for a party and won't refund if someone can't make it because of Rona. Example went down to 2 lanes needed rather then 3 because kids that rsvp came in contact with someone and are now quarantined. Prices are also a bit high with no deals ever. They did a great job remodeling Troy Lanes!! There is no escape room in here though, it's just the name of this bowling alley! They also have a new arcade room filled with nice prizes and a laser tag in here (up to 24 players!) - which is fun and affordable! They also have full restaurant and bar available. This is a great place to have some fun with your friends! On Monday night after 6pm, it only costs $2/per game and $2 to rent bowling shoes. On Sunday night after 6pm, you get two hours of unlimited bowling for $8. There are some other specials during the week that I haven't yet taken advantage of. I recommend coming here and checking it out; you won't be disappointed! The bowling alley was clean and the employees were friendly. Veronica was 5 stars as our server for dinner; everything else went downhill fast. I made reservations at 1130 for a party of 10 at 7 pm for Cosmic bowling. Showed up at 530 to feed the troupe and here is where troubles began. - It took the wait staff almost 10 minutes to realize that we had not been served. - Kitchen was unable to provide the correct meal, twice to one of our party due to not having the correct ingredients. - Kitchen was not able to provide large pizzas, even though I specifically asked about this when I made reservations. - Cosmic bowling is supposed to start at 7; when I asked Nikki at the counter about when this was going to start, I was told "I've been really busy." I could dismiss the food issues and go back for the bowling, videos games and whatnot for the littles, but customer service was poor. Management needs to take a round turn on their staff, give them the tools they need to succeed and give an amazing experience to customers. I, and our group, will not return. The food and drinks were great and so was the special they were running for unlimited bowling for an hour. It seems new inside which is nice too. Place is absolutely gorgeous and really amazing atmosphere. Has a whole private room for events too. You can tell it's a fun place to go with friends get some drinks, food and bowl. Other bowling alleys you can tell leagues play I feel this is more for just fun. Has a arcade and laser tag. Ended up bowling and then playing laser tag. Highly recommend doing laser tag so fun and we played for about 30 min fun course. Bowling was just ridiculous expensive when you know you can go somewhere else and play per lane. Here you pay per person ended up being about $30 for two people. The staff seemed a little unpleasant but I mean who isn't right now being so short staffed. They shut our game off because we had one extra player in the middle of our second game, which as a bowler you know thats not cool if your on a streak, instead of just asking us if someone wouldn't mind coming to talk to the front cause someone still owes money. You are the leader of your employees and if you're a hard ass and a dickhead... your employees going to be that way. They're under pressure. So if you have anger issues from what I remember from my first experience with you, pretty sure you went after your young employees who are being molded for the future by your attitude. For sure it's the manager here. The employees are teenagers who would do whatever the owner ask of them. So I guess the owner confronted the children who work here after my second review and I have the children that work there leaving me dirty messages. Hahahaha!!!! This is the place to go for families. Our first time going. Amazing amazing. Everyone was informative and friendly. The lady at the bar where you order food was so sweet and explained everything to me. The manager came over and explained their new system which would allow us to make our bowling experience fun and exciting. They have laser tag and an arcade to win prizes. Sooooo clean. This was such a terrible experience the manager is a complete jack ass. So, we came in after being on the waitlist and they never told us if it was for one game or what ever time it was just a flat rate supposedly. We started playing and after an hour our lane shut off. I went up and asked to extend our time and he was so rude. I over heard the people next to us getting 2 hours, but we were not allowed 2 hours... we were some reason only allowed one. We had to pick up all of our food and drinks and move everything. Honestly I have never been talked to the way I was by the manager.... so rude. The worst part is is that NOBODY filled our lane for over 30 minutes. My family including extended always came here but never again.. my advice to the owners, get a new manager. This is a place my family and I would frequent quite a bit. I have brought large parties here and reserved multiple VIP lanes for family get togethers. They have changed their food and it is now awful and was a very poor choice. We came on a Friday evening and got a regular lane on this night and there were at the very least 15 empty tables surrounding us. We had a large food order and divided ourselves amongst 2 tables next to our lane. A staff member came running over and said we could only have 1 table. I looked around and said it is empty in here and she said yeah but you can't do that, it's our policy. I said ok, can we use the table and if anyone comes we will move immediately and she said no. Then said, we have 6 lanes reserved with people coming. We stayed 2 hours and no one came and all tables remained completely empty. Her behavior was over the top as if we had committed a crime. We moved and sat at the 1 tiny table with zero room with 15 neighboring tables all empty. You should always treat your guests with generosity and comfort hoping they will return again. spent two weekends in a row at escape for parties, including a surprise party. both weekends the bar ran out of basic drinks like bud light bottles and had terrible service from the bartenders working. first weekend pizza was great, the second weekend the pizza tasted like cardboard. called and spoke with a fantastic manager who was very helpful! followed up with her after her mtg with the owner and per the owner "we can only offer an apology. we can't give everyone money that's disappointed" the only reason why i'm giving one star is the servers we had in the VIP room were fantastic! read more

I was just at Escape for my daughter's school end of season volleyball party. This place was so clean, arcade was so nice and updated and the staff was so good that I would go back there anytime I thought of bowling or having a party. Rebecca made planning this party so easy and she was so kind and accommodating. We need more people like her in the customer service industry. The executive chef was so kind and their food was WOW! The best food I've ever had at a bowling alley. Don't expect your ordinary pizza, fries and burgers. Their food is gourmet food but not gourmet prices. All of us parents were complimenting the food, the service and the nice facility. We drove 30+ minutes to get to this place from Bloomfield Hills but it was so worth it!!! read more
