We visited Dave & Buster's in Utica and had an absolute blast. The first thing that stood out was how happy the staff were. From the Winner's Circle to the restaurant, everyone we interacted with was upbeat, patient, and genuinely kind. It feels like a place with really strong culture and a solid team in place. We've been to all the nearby D&B's and this location is by far the best. Food-wise, I would call it a 4 out of 5, but the service easily bumps the experience to a 5. The Parmesan garlic chicken Caesar salad was what did it for me. The thick, crackery Parmesan garlic crust on the chicken was so good it could be its own appetizer, and on top of the salad it really made the dish. The bar burger sliders were solid, and the fries didn't disappoint. Great games, great staff, and good food that tastes even better because everyone was so darn nice. The food was surprisingly good. Service was excellent. We ate in the game room, so ambiance was a bit load. So my only suggestion would be to eat in a quieter room. We had the Game Day Grub and Cruspy Business appetizer platters and we liked them both. For my entree, I had the Stacked Steak protien bowl and enjoyed it. Today I explored the Dave and Buster's located in Utica Michigan. I have to say I was very shocked by the 2.3 star review ratings. When I entered the establishment it was immaculately clean the floors were spotless and all the games were kept well except for a few. Due to some wear and tear. If this is your first time at Dave and Buster's here's a tip I recommend visiting on Wednesday as it is half off games Wednesday meaning the original price is half off. From there I also recommend downloading the Dave and Buster's rewards app where you can score a $20 rewards card just for downloading the app. With that also being said I also recommend arriving when they first open at 10 AM during summer hours that way you can beat crowds. I do see some handicap accessible parking to the right of the main entrance. However if you're parking at one of the spots farther down with a handicap placard there is a ledge that's something to be aware of however when you go to the main entrance is accessibility. There is no push button on the doors as well. I also noticed on the main entrance that there is not visible signage for their hours they did have a placard for their summer hours but not there Monday through Saturday hours. I did get a chance to interact with staff they were very friendly. There are ramps in the building as well. read more

My boyfriend and I went here Tuesday afternoon. The place was pretty dead but that meant that there was no wait for any games. I haven't been here in a good 15 years if I had to guess. My boyfriend already had credits on his power card from many years ago so we decided to have a date day! We had a few issues where the games didn't work. We mostly just played for fun and not for tickets. The prizes weren't the greatest but we accumulated almost 2,000 tickets. We still have credits and tickets left on our card. Bathrooms were hit and miss. They weren't very clean and several were out of order. Half price games on Wednesday so we will be back for another date day! I am trying to be objective. I went to Dave and Busters for my 70th birthday to celebrate with the grandkids. We had lunch. it took 2 1/2 hrs to eat. they served all the adults and not the kids. we had to wait another hour for their food. one of the kids has ADD. I was given a nice bouquet of flowers from my family. I left them on the table thinking my other family member picked them up. when I went back 1 hr later i was told they threw them out. who does that?? The bus boy sees a bouquet of flowers probably worth 50 bux and throws them in the trash. I said can you get them out of the trash. No they were already in the dumpster. I haven't been here in about 10 years. yikes it is dumpy now. The waiter Mike was nice. The manager said, and Iam paraphrasing, oh well too bad. they see something on the table and they throw in in the garbage. ugh never again read more

I've been coming here for around twenty years. When I was a kid I thought it was the best arcade ever, and loved it. Now, as an adult I think it's gone really downhill. We sat in the restaurant area and almost every dish that came out was dirty. The fried pickles were good, the pizza was not. We wanted to watch the Lions while the 2 kids have fun and they were all out of tokens after spending $120 in about an hour. They even mentioned how much more they liked CJ Barrymore's which surprised me, but it's just a better upkept arcade than this one. It needs a major revamp. For the amount of money you spend, there doesn't seem to be very many games and the ones they like use 10 tokens per swipe. We also used a Groupon and we found it really didn't give us anything extra. When we walked in there was nobody at the front counter so we had to walk all the way down to the prize area to load our power cards and scanning all the bar codes from the Groupon email was pretty annoying. I don't think we'll return anytime soon. read more

Staff was super helpful and nice we had our son's 14th birthday party and had chicken nuggets,fries, Mac and cheese and all the boys devoured it and loved the Mac and cheese. Had a little hiccup with the playing cards and they immediately fixed it and allowed us to play as long as we wanted on the non redemption games. Only reason why I didn't give it five stars was the dishes and silverware seemed dirty and because of the slight problem with the cards. Lots of parking & it's very big and spacious for lots of people to fit into the building. They have decent menu/drink options. Lots of games to choose from as well. Hardly had any attention paid to us, had to literally flag down the staff to get any orders in, they were not friendly at all when bringing us food, and overall just seemed to have a lot of people near the front to greet people but not enough back where it actually counts. Whatever you do don't go to the one in Utica Michigan. We booked a 20 person party for 6/8/2024 @ 5:00pm and they had ONE server handling our table as well as 2 other smaller tables in the area. I asked the server if she could get help so we weren't waiting so long and she said they were short 3 people and 2 in the kitchen. We went to the bar to get drinks and they had one main bartender and one express bartender(for the entire restaurant). BOTH bartenders made one drink at a time, so that explained why it was taking so long for drinks. I finally found a manger "Ken" and explained that we made reservations for a party of 20, well ahead of time and that it was taking 30+ minutes to get drinks. He said they were short, I told him that wasn't my problem, it was his since he was the manger and his responsibility to staff accordingly. I asked him to get the server who was handling our table help and he said they didn't have anyone to help so I made a comment about the restaurant apparently not needing our money and he said "we don't and I guess you shouldn't have came here". We went back and started getting everyone cashed out, which of course was a nightmare and took over an hour. I told our server what the manager said and she informed me that she told him she quit after cashing out our table and that the manager is always rude like that. This location had a senior lockdown this night that started at 9:30, there were several teenagers already in the arcade area. The entire arcade area reeked of marijuana because there were kids in the bathroom smoking it. This location is horrible, it is dirty and the management staff is highly unprofessional. Stay away from this one. UPDATE: received a "canned" response that they have made their management team aware of the issue to improve future interactions. So basically, we don't care about your experience and dissatisfaction enough to put any thought or effort into addressing it. read more

Been to this location many many times over the last several years. However I had a recent visit after not visiting here for about two years. I dined in the restaurant and also played games afterward. The restaurant is clean but there wasn't any hostess to seat us. I had to wait several minutes before a server came by to tell us to seat ourselves. Their menu changed and I'm not personally a fan of most of the food options. However they still have many fun drink options (like adult beverages with gummy candy!) I ordered a queso/guac/bean dip app which was seriously gross. The queso was barely warm, the guac was not freshly prepared, and the bean dip had no flavor. They still offer 1/2 off games on Wednesdays which is awesome. I was excited to come back here and play some games but wow they got rid of so many classics and added new games. I do like some of the new games but I'm seriously disappointed they got rid of trivia. That was not only my favorite game but I felt it was a great option for adults. So so mad it's no longer there. Then I got to the winner's circle...where I saw a display of prizes not meant to impress. The prizes they offered back in the day were so much better. They still offer games, kitchen appliances, etc. I'm just not a fan of their current selection. The remodel does look great at this location and I do enjoy playing Mario Kart. However the ladies restroom remodel will keep me away for a long time. We came here for a friend of mine. It was her last day at work. We got our game card and waited for more people to sit. We finally got two booths on opposite sides. This was a bit awkward because we couldn't see or talk to everyone. I felt bad for the waitress because more people kept coming. No one helped her. She was doing it all herself. She was forgetting to bring waters and what not. She also waited for everyone to order, so the food took forever to come out sadly. This isn't her fault. People just kept coming later and later, which made things difficult. A few of my coworkers got different things so that we could share. I really loved the loaded tots and cheesy spinach dip. The fondue was a bit yummy, but I do not like dark chocolate as much. One issue I found was that my card was not working that well. I kept trying it and it said that it could not read my card. We were also a bit sad to see a lot of games out of order. The games seemed expensive AND they were half off! 5 chips for a spin game... which means it usually costs 10 chips. Seems expensive. A lot of the games are rigged as well. My boyfriend played a game and kwpt aiming, only for it to aim somewhere else and freeze. I'm not much into games either so this wasn't my scene. If we do return, it will be to finish the chips on our card. I also like the food, even though it can be pricey. The whole place is a bit pricey. They are unwilling to accommodate their customers. Our group purchased over $1,000 in tokens up front and then went in the back to sit down and were told that the group would need to split up even though there were open tables right next to one another. When asked why, they said that we do not move tables. The party would not have caused a fire hazard, just lack of customer service. read more

Today was my first time going to D&B. It may also be my last! I just read an article about the latest CDC masking guidelines. In Oakland and Macomb counties the lèvel of the Delta variant requires that all fully vaccinated people WEAR a MASK indoors. None of the staff persons I saw wore masks. Not the ticket person, the waiter ir floor sweeper. Nobody was going around sterilizing any of the frequent touch points. There was no hand sanitizer. The pens...? It is questionable that they were single use or sterile. I have used, whenever possible, my own pen for my use. Started in grad school microbiology. Have had many fewer colds and gastroflu. Before the Pandemic, nobody cleaned their pens! I'm fully vaccinated and still should have been wearing a mask today! read more

Dave and busters has been in Utica for as long as I can remember. They recently revamped a lot of their decor, games, and menus. Definitely a fun evening. There are plenty of games now, from "ticket winning," to shooting, to racing. All tickets going on a card now and that's how you swipe for games. I don't remember the last time I ate at D&B, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The food was decently priced and tasted good for an arcade type setting. The menu is pretty extensive, so everyone should be able to find something they like. I ordered the buffalo bar chick sliders. They definitely hit the spot and really hit it home with the "bar food vibe." They took their crispy chicken tenders and tossed them in their original wing sauce, topped them with bleu cheese dressing, lettuce, and tomatoes. They all 4 of them on buttery brioche buns and seasoned fries. I was so full I couldn't finish it all. To drink, I decided to try something from their creative menu. Right now, they have "monster isle punches" which are definitely different. I ordered "The Sea Monster"-Bacardi dragon berry rum, Malibu passion fruit rum, fireball, strawberry purée, blueberry purée, pineapple juice, and sour. It was pretty fruity and easy-even served with a sea monster you get to take home. They do offer an "eat & play combo" all day Sunday-Thursday and until 5 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. read more

If I could give anyone advice about Dave and Buster's in the Detroit area, do yourself a favor and make the drive to the Livonia location. With the Utica location, each visit seems worse than the last. I was there about a month ago and many of the games were out of service and a few that were available didn't function correctly. And the women's bathroom...it smelled like a sewer shortly after we arrived (around noon). I used it later thinking (and hoping) the foul smell had dissipated, but nope - it was just as bad as before. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1? The pretzel sticks and chicken wings were good. I was at the Livonia location on Friday and it was night and day from Utica. Almost all the games were working, the staff were friendly and it was a great time. Edited to add: I already filled out a form online regarding my visit and received what felt like a canned response from customer service that addressed nothing I mentioned. read more

They can be a bit messy with execution of things but the facility is clean, food is great and I haven't had any mistakes, staff is friendly as well. Again their execution could be better, we made a reservation and were sent to the host, host was only for a private event, then sent to the bar, bar had no clue and sent us to the front, front said go back to the host, we sat there for about 10 minutes and then someone told us to go back to the front when a manager was finally able to get us seated. First time and last time going here, It was overly expensive 75 credits for $15. Half the games had spilled water on them, weren't working, and would charge your card twice! The bathrooms were clean but the sinks, toilet, and door knob were all broken! Food was bad! We didn't eat here because the restaurant had a 2.5 hour wait on a Saturday night around 8:30pm, so this review is just for the gaming area. I had never been to a Dave and Busters before and the place was huge! We were meeting some friends there and finally found them in the lobby. It cost me $25 to get 135 "tokens" (credits) and then it's $2 for the card if you have never bought one before. The card is where all your credits are stored, as well as any game tickets that you cash in. We had a lot of fun trying out all the games! I think my favorites were trivia, skeeball, a Deal or No Deal game, and this addicting building block-type game near the front right... I ALMOST won it so many times which made me want to try it again and again to beat the game, ha. 11pm is when no kids are allowed on the game floor and it was definitely nicer and less crowded after that time rolled around.
