It is packed with a lot to look at in a tiny space. We came during the week when most people are at school or work, so I do not know how busy this place might get. We did not get any ice cream, so I cannot speak to the freshness of the food, but they did have a nice variety of flavors and the prices looked good. I am not sure of the portions or anything, but I would be willing to come back and try. I owner did offer samples, but since I was not buying on this day, I declined. The owner seemed very nice. He said he was inspired by Marvin's and was happy to hear we thought it reminded us of his childhood hangout. He was super interested in ideas. I would like to come back again when we have more time to hangout and explore more in the future.

There's a "help keep the lights on" donation box right as you walk in/out. All the games are cheap, usually $.50 to play, just like they have been for years. There was a power surge and we lost $4 of progress in our Simpsons game run, and the owner pulled money out of his pocket to make up for the time we lost. A lot of reviews are complaining about the price of the icecream, but you have to understand this place needs to be able to keep its lights on. This isn't a place that's was designed to make money, it was designed to be a get together for families, and having fresh stock icecream when your games are all under a dollar is expensive. Will be revisiting soon!

The limited edition Hatsune Miku collab food was amazing! Especially the drink. The service was also really good! When I was stuck on a claw machine, employees would help me, when at other arcades the employees would practically point and laugh! Though honestly, the ambiance was the only thing iffy about this place. There were quite a few stains and a lot of people being very loud from being heard in the mall. Other than that I would highly recommend to friends who're into Hatsune Miku, Pokémon, and all sorts of anime's or Japanese rhythm games! An easy 9.5/10 :))

When asking staff was told it was a "skill game" which was total BS. I do not believe anyone on earth given 1000 attempts could win the machine as one of its arms must have been loose or did not function making victory unachievable. Who knows how many others tried once or twice and gave up. Update: After i left yesterday my group went back to talk to staff, proved it was broken, did not repay any of the credits used on it and manager refused to payout the broken machine. On top of all that left the machine in operation after knowing it was not possible to pay out.

From the moment we walked in, you could feel it. Great music, lively crowd, and just an overall fun atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. The food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing -- everything was plated beautifully and smelled even better. Even just watching dishes hit the tables around us had me planning what I'm ordering next time. What's cool is I'm actually in the area pretty often on Sundays because I go to a laundromat nearby, and it always looks like they're hosting a really solid brunch crowd. After seeing the vibe firsthand, I can definitely see that being a go-to brunch spot. They also keep things exciting throughout the week. Every Thursday at 7 PM, they host trivia with Jonathan from Quizzo -- six rounds covering different topics with chances to win prizes like gift cards. That's the kind of midweek plan that turns a regular Thursday into something to look forward to. And if that's not enough, axe throwing is part of the experience too, in partnership with Detroit Axe Ferndale. Axe throwing has seriously become one of the most fun social activities out right now, and having expert Axe Masters guide you through it makes it even better. There's nothing like that satisfying thunk when the axe hits the target. Between the food, the drinks, the games, and the overall energy, The Corner Grill is more than just a bar and grill -- it's an experience. Definitely a spot I'll be back to.

The food is not the main attraction here, but we thought it was surprisingly pretty good. The burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The garlic green beans were delicious, but the portion size was comical. There were seven tiny green beans on the plate. We did order a second round to get our fill of veggies. They have a "gamemaster" who helps you select from the hundreds of games they have available. You can reserve a game table online in advance for $3 per person and that reserves you two hours of game play time. The restrooms are a little nightmarish. Literally in a dark, damp basement. Other than that, really enjoyed our evening here.
