We made that mistake a bit where we had jeans and just regular shoes. We were able to move around for the games still but our scores suffered a bit because we were going to dinner after. They have tons of throwing, matching, difference spotting, spelling, agility, target shooting and other colorful themed games! Once you make an account here during your first visit, you're hooked! All your scores are logged, put against a global and local scoring table, and the race is on to be the best at the game. We did an hour and it seemed to fly by. Each game is about 2 minutes. If there's something you really want to play, you may have to wait a few minutes but it's worth it. The time tracking on the wristband is very accurate. This place was really fun! A new era of high tech gaming, that also gets you moving. I think their most well known game is the mega grid one, but they have a large variety of games that combine movement, reaction time, skill, speed, etc supported by a variety of digital screens and lights and trackers. Pretty impressive. Was pretty busy the time we went (Friday evening) so we didn't necessarily get to do the group favorites as many times (sharing!). I also kind of had in the back of mind how many surfaces we were touching that everyone else there was also touching (from a hygiene perspective as we're in prime sick time). The group photo booth was cute, but I think we incorrectly assumed the photos would get sent to the emails of those who scanned their wristbands in? That seems to not be the case and no one ended up getting the photos which is kind of a bummer. Otherwise, good fun and a good experience. Staff were friendly and helpful as well. Best to wear sneakers and comfortable clothing to move around in. There are lockers and coat racks on site, and a huge parking lot. read more

Activate was a fun experience to share with a group of 9. We weren't sure what to expect once we easily parked and walked into the clean, well-lit lobby. Nico greeted us, gave us our bracelets, and pulled up our remaining balance to pay since paying the deposit online. We each signed a waiver and made a player profile on 10 iPads set up in the lobby. We received 2 locker bands to put our things away. Then Nico walked us through the gaming area - about 14 rooms with 4+ 30second-2minute games to choose from for 2-5 people. We split into 2 groups and started our game play by scanning our brackets at one of the doors and waiting for it to let us in (only a 1ish min wait while other groups do their game). After a few games we were able to reconfigure groups to hangout with new people in our party. The 1 hour timeframe only includes the time when you are in a game, so we ended up at activate for an hour and a half. We visited most rooms and probably played 10 different games, many of them multiple times through 1-4 levels. Once your time is low it tells you "1 game remaining!" It told us that twice so be sure to check your bracelet for an extra game at the end! We took a fun family photo in the Photo Booth at the end. Perhaps try that at the beginning before you get sweaty! It was more cardio and fun than expected :) There are so many games and levels that I would continue having a fun time after many visits. I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my husband. It was totally last minute and without a reservation. We were in town for another event, and I remembered this place was nearby, so we figured, why not? I was definitely not dressed for it.. I was wearing a dress, sandals, full makeup, and my hair done, but I called ahead and was SO happy to hear they had shoes, socks, and even hair ties available to borrow. Huge plus for being prepared like that! I don't know where they got all these extra shoes, but the shoes were two sizes is too big for me and the socks were basically pantyhose, but I will take it!! It was fairly busy, as you'd expect on a Saturday, but we were surprised and happy that we didn't need a reservation. We paid I believe $60 for an hour and 15 minutes of playtime for two people. There were several different games, and they all required a good amount of movement. By the end, we were totally exhausted, body was hurting and wanting a nap. Mind you we're 31 and 33, surrounded mostly by energetic teens! That hour and 15 minutes was more than enough for us. Even so, we had the best time. It was so much fun and honestly worth every penny. I don't live in the area (it's about an hour drive for me), so I rarely get the chance to come here but I'm really glad we made it happen. I'd 100% come back again! read more

This place is awesome! It's the new age Chucke Cheese - Squid Game style! It got busier through the afternoon. So this is how it works: 1. You pay for 75 minutes of play time. 2. Once you go to the gaming isle there are about 20 doors - 10 on each side. Each door has a game setup inside. 3. You scan your watch like electronic wrist band and enter the game with your group. Everyone in the group has to scan their wrist band. 4. The entrance has a small screen that tells you "How to play" 5. There are multiple games to choose from for that room setup at the entrance. 6. As you go through the levels inside, you keep collecting points. And there is a leaderboard in the isle. 7. If another group has scanned their barcodes and want to play the same game then once your time is up it will ask you to exit the room. I loved it here! Basically you make reservations for a 1 hour block and you get to play mini games for that entire hour (unlimited) the rooms are coded for anywhere between like 5-8 games, 3-5 players and every room can provide a description of the game and how to play. For the most part, every game was pretty straightforward. Games provide points and those points can be used towards earning tokens to win prizes. Loved it here! read more

While my sister and nephew were visiting from out of state, we decided to give Active Games a try. The reviews seemed almost too good to be true, they aren't. All four of us had a wonderful time. The facilities are clean. Getting free photos is an added bonus. And having access to a locker for your items is quite important. The price was not bad, considering you get 75 minutes of play time. Only thing I would mention, one room does have smoke, so be warned if you or someone you know has asthma, it might be triggered. That being said, we all really enjoyed our time at would highly recommend it to others. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now & we went 2 weekends ago for my sister in laws birthday. We had a group of 9 & it was $25/person. I had no idea what to expect but it was so much fun! Our reservation was for 1 hr & 15 min but your time only counts down when you're in one of the game rooms which I thought was nice. Visited because of the TikTok craze for a teen birthday party. Am disappointed because some of the kids had uggs slip on shoes and were told they couldn't participate in one of the games although those shoes were not listed in the banned footwear section. More time was spent waiting to get entry into different game rooms than there was actual play time. Would not recommend as an activity if you have more than 5 people which is the limit on how many can enter a room. read more

. I honestly have never dodged through lasers stamped on the floor or thrown balls at exploding asteroids at any other point in my long and fruit full life . I sure hope the asteroid belt is still intact because mine was totally torn at the end of the night.
