I am a huge Elton John fan, so was VERY excited to play the Captain Fantastic pinball game once again! I felt like I was back in the 80's again playing things like Joust, Galaga, Centipede, and so many more on those old cabinets. The owner was so awesome, and you can tell how much he loves what he does. The games were all clean and well cared for, and we even saw him working on one while we were there. In fact, the whole place was clean. What a deal paying $20 on a Saturday and able to play everything in there as much as you want, instead of saving quarters for your favorites like we did "back in the day!" I loved that I could play endless rounds of Skee Ball! Thank you so much for all your work on this place! I hope to go back again next time I'm in the area!

Absolutely amazing idea for a game place. Whether you have kids, going out for a date night, or…read morejust for fun, this place is great! Wear athletic shoes and clothing! We made that mistake a bit where we had jeans and just regular shoes. We were able to move around for the games still but our scores suffered a bit because we were going to dinner after. They have tons of throwing, matching, difference spotting, spelling, agility, target shooting and other colorful themed games! Once you make an account here during your first visit, you're hooked! All your scores are logged, put against a global and local scoring table, and the race is on to be the best at the game. We did an hour and it seemed to fly by. Each game is about 2 minutes. If there's something you really want to play, you may have to wait a few minutes but it's worth it. The time tracking on the wristband is very accurate. Stay hydrate, dress accordingly, be patient (all age groups are here), and enjoy!

It's like you are INSIDE a video game. Great value for the money. No matter how busy the place is, games are only a minute or two (or 3 long) so you never wait long to play! The staff is super helpful to get you started. I can't wait to take my sons there or send them with their cousins. Great for all ages -- you can choose the games that you like best. Competitive or collaborative. High physical activity (like dodging lasers) or relatively stationary (like firing a laser gun.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try it.

Update: The owner…read morereached out and apologized, explained and offered us a refund. I appreciate the customer service, so i updated my stars. I am keeping the write up so that customers understand the pricing for the game cards. -------------- We purchased a game card. I asked the woman working about the options. She told us that for $10, you get a game card for 40 coins, or for $25 you get an unlimited game card. My kids quickly went through the "unlimited" game card. When I questioned this, she said well, it's not actually unlimited, it was 140 coins and typically kids do not use the full card, so it usually is unlimited. This is not okay. You cannot sell something under the guise of being unlimited just because it isn't usually fully used. By definition, that is not unlimited. I would not have paid $25 for 5 minutes of play. The pricing is not listed anywhere in the store or online, so you are forced to believe the employees word. I had no reason to question what she was telling me. At the time of purchase, I asked and then repeated that the $25 card was unlimited, and was told it was. And it most definitely was not. I am incredibly disappointed.

It's not like there are Russian puppet theatres in every city, so we had to go all the way to Detroit. I said yes, of course. This was back in 2009, some ten Detroit vacations ago. Honestly I'm really not that into puppets, even Russian ones, but I can attest that the show I saw was remarkable in its ability to captivate and soothe a house full of hyperactive children. This is a low-key spot, and they have sort of a puppet museum in the lobby. It really seems like the perfect place to bring kids. I had less luck paying attention from my seat, sandwiched between a four year old in front and his mother in back. "I GOT A EYE VIEW," the mother whispered through her teeth and at her child. "KEEP QUIET OR I'LL HIT YOU WITH MY STICK!" For the next 45 minutes, all I could think about was how I'd better behave.
