Play-X-Scape was the perfect celebration location for my favorite three-year-old this year. The birthday party was a big hit with the adults and children. The ages in attendance were 10-months-old to 84-years-old. Hands down the best feature of this venue is that when you book your party you have the entire run of the place for you and your guests. This was the best! They have lockers in the lobby for everyone to remove their shoes to keep the floor clean that children may be crawling or playing on. Grip socks are required to be worn and are also available for purchase. There are various play areas and activities for the children. There is a large playscape in the center of the room complete with a slide. Play areas include a kitchen, store, diner, animal hospital, puppetry, coloring, legos, blocks, yard size connect four, climbing walls, swings and basketball hoop. Some children did not want to leave!!! Play-X-Scape also has a birthday party room for eating pizza, snacks and cupcakes. Our party was setup for 10 children. It was completely decorated with an animal theme of Young, Wild and Three as part of the booking. The pizza was provided by YaYa's Pizza next door. Ironically we had more adults than children at the party. There are four tables with chairs for adults to sit plus a bench inside of the door. I wish we had brought some games for the adults to play during the 3-hr party. This venue also has open play hours for a place to take your children to explore for $12. Different levels of party packages are also available.

I've been here a couple of times, once for a birthday party and once just for fun, and I honestly…read moredon't understand how this place is so highly recommended. The water slide rules are ridiculous. Kids have to meet a specific height requirement even though the water at the bottom of the slide is only about three feet deep and most kids can easily stand there. My child is short for her age but is in second grade, has been swimming since she was one, and is on a swim team. She was not allowed to go down the slide because she wasn't tall enough, yet her kindergarten friend, who could not swim, was allowed to go down even though they were basically the same height. When I tried to explain that my child is a strong swimmer, the lifeguard wouldn't budge and made her walk all the way back down the stairs in what felt like a complete walk of shame. After that, she wanted to swim in the main pool area, which is only about 3.5 feet deep, but there is a posted "no swimming" rule for that pool. Because of that rule, she wanted to go into the deeper water instead, which is only six feet deep. She was told she could not go into the deeper water unless she passed a swim test. However, they then said they could not give her the swim test because the swim instructors were not there. This made absolutely no sense, especially given her swimming ability and the fact that I was right there in the water with her as her parent. We then went to the splash pad. My child, who was three at the time, was told she was too close to the sprayer balls and got in trouble for it, even though the splash pad only has two features total. On top of that, the water was extremely cold. My toddler was shivering the entire time and couldn't even enjoy it because she wasn't allowed to stand under the water spray. That same day, we tried the lazy river. My toddler was holding onto me while we floated together. We went there specifically because the water was warmer, since her lips were literally turning blue in the regular pool. There was nobody else in the lazy river, and we were not being unsafe or disruptive in any way. Despite that, a lifeguard yelled at me for holding onto my child and told us we had to exit the river. At that point, it felt like no matter where we went, the rules were being enforced in a way that discouraged kids from playing rather than focusing on actual safety. The main pool itself is extremely underwhelming. There is one log in the middle, and only one person is allowed on it at a time, which I understand for safety reasons, but it is the only feature in the pool. One child used it the entire time we were there, and the lifeguard yelled at anyone who tried to touch it while allowing that same child to stay on it for nearly two hours. The pool is so shallow that my four-year-old can stand on the bottom, the main pool is so small that with about 6 people in it, it already feels overcrowded. The birthday party setup was just as bad. The party room is not convenient at all, despite what people say. There is no nearby bathroom, and the room itself is freezing cold. The changing rooms are down the water slide stairs and across the pool, but you are not allowed to walk to them in street clothes or shoes, which means you somehow have to change before you can even access the changing rooms. There are bathrooms upstairs, but they are nowhere near the party rooms and require walking through a maze of hallways. You freeze the entire way because you are either in a bathing suit or wet from the pool, and these bathrooms are just standard stalls, not actual changing rooms or showers. Everyone at the party complained about how far the bathrooms were from the party room. There are no changing rooms or showers near the party space, and the only real changing rooms are in the pool area, which you cannot access without already being changed. The entire setup is poorly designed and incredibly inconvenient. Overall, the rules feel inconsistent and overly strict, the layout is terrible, and the experience was frustrating for both kids and adults. Nobody in our group enjoyed it, and I would not recommend this place to others.

The reviews…read morehad indicated that the facility was understaffed, staffed by people under the age of 18, and was dirty. The food was not good and there was a very long wait for food. I was pleasantly surprised. First, the facility was clean. It was well-staffed. The employees were young but they were conscientious. I was pleased to see they employed a special needs individual as well. There was plenty to keep the kids occupied for over 2 1/2 hours. On the negative side, the kitchen was very slow. The line was long. I didn't sample the food, so I can't comment on that. The long wait seems to be a systemic problem rather than the fault of the young people working there. My biggest complaint would be that the laser tag was closed and only three of the bumper cars worked. There is no mention of this on their website, so you don't know in advance that you are going to be paying full price but only being offered some of the services. From reading other reviews, this seems to be a consistent issue.

To make things work, a supervisor named Andy helped us reschedule quickly for the same morning. Thank you Andy! When we arrived we were really impressed. The facility is so cool and everything was clean and organized. Most of the flight suits and equipment looked new. We had our ground school training with our instructor Vinnie and he answered all of our questions. We were well prepared thanks to his knowledge and insight. Entering the "wind tunnel" was exciting and a huge thrill. It was an incredible experience. Vinnie handled everything perfectly for both an 8 year old and an old man of 58! A personal recommendation: Get the 4 flight package. I think we really got the most for our money that way. They have a lot of specials so be sure and shop for those. Could not be more pleased and already looking forward to our next "flight". Chris F.

They attach wristbands to the fliers with names and info. I booked a family package for up to 3 fliers and 10 flights. They each got to go twice but their time was extended to get the full time for the 10 flights. Husband did the fly high add-on. Super fun. Not fun - beginners have to wear the eye goggles and open helmet. The goggles cut into your face and the force of the wind makes it hard to breathe. Bright side is that since they completed the first beginner round, they can have closed helmets next time. Instructors were great! Everyone was so helpful. Nice facility, plenty of seating for groups and spectators. The girls were very excited but nervous. They had a great time and want to go again. At $360, it will be a little while before we do it again.
