Our family loves the Glenlore experience! this was our second year with toddlers ages 3, 4, and 5 years old. They couldn't wait stroll through the trails with wands in hand, activating the displays and marveling at the lights. This year was even more spectacular than last. I will continue to take them each year! my only suggestions, trying not to make it a complaint, is the lack of direction in the parking lot. Also, making wands available with online ticket purchase. It is not clear to the patrons until they start through the trails. Lastly, entrance to trail is not necessarily monitored, and several folks were walking in with entire families and no tickets were checked. not completely surprised but disappointing when we paid $25.00 per adult and $15.00 per child to enter. I have to say this was a wonderful and completely beautiful experience. This is a trail that takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete and I experienced this during the Christmas season. The lights and effects are really wonderful and a treat to the eye There are also interactive games that light up the eyes of any child I'm very glad that I went in the group that I went with really had a good time That being said, this is not really my kind of thing and the price of the tickets as well as some of the merchandise had a sniff of Disney World about it But I think they do a great job here and please note that my rating is for people who would really crave and experience like this If I hadn't gone with the group, I would not have gone But if you were looking for a wonderful Christmas light show and fun for the whole family, this will not disappoint read more

I like the concept and was extremely happy I went with my 13 month old who doesn't know any better. For majority of the displays to be interactive with you, you will need the wand, which is an additional cost. It just causes a lot of unnecessary crowding at certain spots of the trail that make it difficult to navigate through. There's concession stands at the beginning and in the middle of the mile long trail, minimal places to sit.The lights are beautiful, the trail is large enough for a wagon or stroller, but be aware of crowding in certain spots. I saw maybe one or two heaters for people to gather around at the concessions. read more

It's a great time outside and it's beautiful. I have gone the last six or seven years once or twice every year to both the Christmas and the Halloween. It's really unfortunate this year. Some of the workers there were extremely rude. If you don't want to work there just don't. read more

I've been wanting to experience this since it's inception during the early days of the pandemic. They offer an enchanting immersive experience with light up trails, charming displays, and interactive stations that will delight both young and old alike. The only restrooms on site are portable toilets located at the entrance and several others sprinkled throughout the trail. There are several food trailers at the entrance as well as a small shop selling light up wings and wands. About halfway through they have a trailer with wands and wings also. We took our time walking through and it took about an hour and 15 minutes. Pro tip: spend the $18.00 for the wand, this will offer a unique experience with special glowing stations throughout. read more

I had no idea how cool this is for Halloween and Christmas! It's great for all ages. Dress warm though! Brrrrr.

Geared for young families. Many of the jokes were awful and inappropriate. Ex..one said something along the lines referring to the customer paying too much to see the Glenlore lights. I felt embarrassed as this was the gift we did with my parents. We did buy a wand, it really didn't do much for us, looks like kids liked. I wish it was more magical and lights vs. it was more interactive. We paid it forward by giving someone else the $20 wand. We have previously been many years ago when it was new for fall and we feel they made it tacky with it being themed. It would have been better if they stuck with lighted scenes. read more

I went for the holiday trail in Dec. 2025. This was very much geared towards children. While it was pretty, it seemed very childish. I loved the lights and the hot chocolate for sale. They did have heaters set up throughout the trail but they were not putting out ANY HEAT. I did enjoy the walk but was OVER-RUN by kids. I think if you are taking children it is fantastic! But for two adults on a $55 1 mile walk , it was not worth it. read more

I've been told they change every year; definitely not something i want to see every year. Please note - the cost is $25 and its only 1 mile long. Kids -- this is great for kids! They have lots of tech -- large interactive panels and boards the kids can play with and play games and listen to stories by gingerbread men and touch screens, and jump on "candy" on the ground. It's like a high-energy-Pixar-tech-screen projection/touch show in many ways. Unfortunately, I was hoping for a tranquil light display walk in the woods. They had these beautiful fiber optic lights wrapped around trees in their mushroom display and I would have loved to have seen more of that, but I recognize it's expensive. Accessibility -- the pathway averages 7 people wide and gets to about 4 people wide in several parts, so it's not cramped at all. It's on packed dirt, with holes. We went on December 30, 2023 and there were very large puddles of water in the middle of the walkway that would have made it difficult for a walker to get around. There are a couple displays that have very fast flashing lights, but they have long delays of solid light which we couldn't figure out if it was intentional or coincidence. Service Dog -- I didn't have any issues bringing my service dog (SD) with me which I appreciated. I did have a little red light on her back for her safety and I had shoes on her, which turned out to be a good idea because there was glass on the pathway in some spots early on. Parking -- they have a very large lot, no handicap parking but the crowds are moving and leaving enough that if you circle, you should be able to get a close spot. The parking lot wasn't well kept and I'd try to get a close spot just to avoid the trip hazards. Heat dishes -- they did have several heat dishes along the walkway. Many were placed at the food carts, and by large touchscreens (like for parents to wait for kids) and it would have been nice if more would have been placed so people could watch entire light shows as some of them seemed pretty long. A lot of work went into these light displays, clearly. I personally enjoyed the displays that didn't rely so much on tech and were more creative and design-driven. There were large, empty lots and it seemed there could have been additional features added in years to come. Overall, I just don't think I was the target market audience for Glenlore. read more

This was an amazing time! Best Fall activity we have done this year yet! I really loved going on these Halloween trails. While it was not scary and did not have any live actors, the gorgeous lights and interactive nature of the trail entertained us for hours. We did have a timed ticket. We arrived about 15 minutes before our time started and it was very crowded with families, couples, friends, everyone. So the actual experience took more like two hours than one hour. It did not matter. I enjoyed every second. The kids loved this place. So many spots for spectacular pictures. They loved the games. The weather was perfect so it really enhanced our experience. I would come back for the Halloween trail in a second. I like how they had bathrooms (although they were porta-potties) on the trail just in case. They sold food and drinks. I wish I had known, I was very enticed to buy some goodies. They also sold light up toys like at an amusement park. Such a fun idea for kids or kids at heart to use. I would consider bringing some light up adornment next time. I honestly cannot say enough good things, I was very impressed and sad we did not come here sooner. I am curious about the Christmas lights but since the trail is pretty long, I am not eager to walk in the cold, but if there are some mild winter nights then count me in. read more

We traveled from Cleveland with my 3 and 5 year old nephews. It was well organized and so much fun! There is an option to purchase a magic wand to take into the trails with you that is interactive and allows you to choose a color, an animal, and sounds and whenever you use the want the forest lights up with your selected sounds, color and animal. It wasn't scary and there was plenty of staff on hand throughout id you weren't sure how to interact with some of the novelties. Highly recommend and will be going back read more

Overpriced for what it is. On top of paying over $100 for entry we had to pay another $20 for a magic wand (which was basically a painted stick) so our granddaughter could "interact" with the displays. And of course the obligatory tip jar for simply handing over $20 for a wand leaves a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Wonderful outdoor walk with friends. It was a great evening outside with festive and gorgeous lighted walkway. I recommend!

Could use more different themed lighted displays. Very repetitive. Also expensive for a family of 5. Of course each kid wanted a wand...way overpriced for what they did. I sent several emails to both Fever and Glenmore Trails but have not received any response nor confirmation. this was our 1st time and overall it was pretty good the experience was quite expensive to not have an added wand for the kids ticket. The bathroom situation is a disaster and unrealistic idk how you expect people to use the bathroom in porta Johns in the pitch dark! I understand the set up as that maybe the only option however the ports Johns that have a light and sink would be more realistic for guests especially when you have children that need to use the bathroom. read more

We came with our 3 kids. 5.5,4,2. lights were fun. were a bit disappointed this year with the addition of the optional "wands". the trail felt a lot less interactive in general than two years ago and if you dont pay an additional 20$ per kid for a wand, its mainly just them walking through. felt bummed for our kids but we spent 84$ for tickets and couldnt drop another 60$ for wands. more should be interactive at baseline. read more

This is the best Glenlore Trails to date! The CarnEvil theme is creepy without being scary to little ones. My grandkids LOVED all the interactive games - pressing a button to choose your fortune, playing the "plinko" game hoping to reveal a werewolf, jumping on spider reflections on the ground, throwing balls at evil clowns on a screen to earn points - all of the games were a HUGE hit! The music and lighting really add to the ambience, and all the bubbles towards the end of the trail was a wonderful surprise. I cannot recommend Glenlore Trails highly enough. Fun for families and adults alike. We had a great time and plan on coming back again soon. read more

This event sells out very quickly. I took my daughter and 4-yr old grandson on this trail. It surely didn't disappoint. We were lucky enough to get our tickets for a 9:00p show (rather late for my grandson), but it was worth it, and he was so excited throughout the entire walk! I bought the magic wand, and he thought it was just the best thing ever. Temps were only 14 degrees so we bundled up. They had a concession truck where you could buy drinks and food from, and many people were walking the trail with cups of steaming goodness. LOTS of fun light displays and many different interactive areas that even adults were enjoying. The trail took us one hour which I think is just about the right amount of time considering all there is to see. Whomever at Proud Lake puts this show on needs a big pat on the back. Lots of work went into this. I would recommend and would definitely do this again and take my husband next time. I will also try out the Halloween trail since now I know the caliber of it. read more

We took our grandkids to Glenlore this week (ages three and five) and they loved it! I hear they're still talking about it. Lights were fun to see and the crowd was spread out nicely so that the kids got a chance to use their wands along the way and watch what happened. Speaking of wands...the cost of the wands was high but without them, the kids would have lost interest early. They loved using them, but they were expensive for a one-time-use and there's nothing to do with them afterward. They should consider renting them like you would do clubs, at a mini-golf course. Another little glitch was the restroom situation; or lack of. Our three year old needed to go potty as soon as we got there and the only places available were about five pitch black, cold Port-O-Johns. I think for the cost of the event and the ease of taking little ones, they could at least have those heated trailer-johns at the entrance/exit. Along the way, the outhouses were at least lit, but it was cold and very hard to help a little one out of snow pants and about four other layers in the cold and dark at the entrance. Overall, we had a great night with the kids and I'd recommend this if you can afford it. read more

What a random place in such a random location, but totally worth the trip over! I can't remember how I discovered Glenlore - it might've been something I saw on Instagram about fun things to do in Oakland County - but I was feeling really down about the holidays last year, having the hardest time getting into them, so I decided to check out Glenlore to see if it could jumpstart the festiveness in my heart. IT WORKED! Glenlore is so so fun! There is something so magical about being able to walk around and see a bunch of colorful lights going. Often times, you're walking within the lights too, which makes you feel part of the display rather than just looking on and appreciating the displays. Even though the overall trail is under a mile - maybe even closer to half a mile? - it's plenty to appreciate. There are so many different light installations to enjoy and see on your walk through the forest. The road is paved. It's easy to set your own pace and walk around, keeping away from other group's taking pictures. It's very family friendly, but not dog friendly, which was the only bummer. All in all, a great time and definitely something fun to do with your friends and/or family! read more

This was an excellent way to get your exercise in on a fall nights in MICHIGAN. It was unusually a warm night lots of families out walking the trail and enjoying the spooky interactive trails. The trails are lit along the way with lots of talking trees , witches, ghost, huge hairy spiders and a giant human eating pumpkin! It's a trail not to be missed. They change the themes throughout the year. There are potty John throughout and concession stands. Don't miss this place it's worth the money and the cool experience! read more

Had the opportunity to finally take a trip out to Commerce on Thursday August 25th(2022). They held a special Back to School event for kids that had time slots from 8pm every 15 minutes till 10pm. I had to book the 9:30pm time slot as my stepson that I wanted to bring wasn't available earlier, but it worked out fine. It was about a 30 minute drive from my daughters house, would've been an 1 1/2 hrs from mine. So couldn't wait to see what everyone has been talking about! There was a good size area for parking. They tell you it's a mile long outdoor trail and to wear sneakers-which was correct. I felt the trail was in pretty good walking condition. They hold the events rain or shine-so be prepared with the proper clothes, umbrellas, etc if that happens. If the storms are bad, there is protocol for that on their website. I did wear long sleeves, so I didn't use bug spray as they spray the trail for bugs. Out of the 3 of us, only I had some misquotes try to get my legs! The people that work there are exceptionally nice. There were ballon artists and face painters outside the entrance(remember-this was a kids event), and a booth for adults to get a drink and merchandise to buy. There we're lines for all 3 so a worker told us there were also those things inside. Made it easier so we could get going on the lights! The theme this year for summer was "PULSE"-so it was based on music. It was adorable the little animation's on the screens. My 10 year old loved doing all the hands on things they had. So did we! There was no one rushing us to get through or keep going. It was relaxing and extremely FUN! The ONLY reason it has 4 stars(it's really 4 1/2) not 5 is because we got stuck on the trail in a long line for a ballon artist and being the last 3 she had to do, they had started shutting off the lights ahead of us not knowing we were still there. Which is totally ok-as they apologized and didn't even rush us or the people ahead of us to finish. A+ on that customer service! But I think we missed the contortionist there was supposed to be..not sure where that was. There was some really cool hanging lights which I think we all 3 enjoyed the most. I have video to try to post...overall it was well worth the drive. Very enjoyable, want to go back for the Halloween lights! read more

Beware. If you buy a 9:30 ticket be prepared to be rushed. My family and I were walking the trail, we like to take pictures look at all the attractions, have hot chocolate and hang around. Nope not on their watch. I felt like there was a real life stalker behind me. I kept turning around and the worker was following us. He was hiding in the trees coming closer and closer it felt like a scary movie. They were turning off all the lights behind us. I go to the end attraction where you throw the plastic balls and the lady says "is anyone behind you" terrible experience especially when we paid alot of money. We felt rushed that night. Not to mention we came to see the witch attraction with the potions. "Not working" just a worker standing there explaining what it does. Don't think I will be back. read more
