We purchased the annual passed and when we did it had us put in our names and birthdays along with a photo for each person. We did come on a busy Saturday as well. We paid $160 for 4 people for a full year which isn't too bad. When it is cold or rainy we can come here and when it is nice we go to the zoo. When we arrived it said they were no longer taking tickets for guests as they were full. I got worried for a moment but we walked up and they scanned and let us in. I didn't realize how massive the place was until we walked in. It was so big and there was so much to do. They especially loved the yellow slide. While we were there, peppa came out too. Just be aware: they do not allow outside food or drinks. They have a small cafe with fair prices inside. I wanted to take a photo but my daughter was running around so that was important. They don't really want strollers inside but there is a spot to park it in the entrance area. They also request kids take shoes off and parents while in certain areas. Just an FYI my kids kept shoes on bc we asked permission. They have braces and need to wear shoes and they said that was totally fine. Overall, this place is awesome and worth it.

I like that they write the parent phone number on the child's wrist ban. Inside is very cool! We found a little hill to put our coats and bag down. Everyone just claimed a spot to keep their stuff. Within the middle are some picnic tables and food/drink. Nice for younger toddlers but still fun for bigger kiddos. My girl was about 1.5 years old and everything was pretty much accessible for her expect for the bigger slides and the bikes. There is a lot of areas for play. Some stuff is a little too loved and worn down. Nothing is too overly interactive. My girl loved the delivery truck since she could put pretend boxes and envelopes into the slots. Bathrooms weren't the most toddler friendly. No little stool or anything to help with washing hands. Peppa came out to meet kiddos and take pics. But there didn't seem to be a rhyme or reason on when Peppa would come out. The handler for Peppa was amazing! Interactive, allowed for each kid and family to have time with Peppa, offered to take pics, stop kiddos who weren't aware of the line. There is a sign that asked for you to take off your shoes, but it's not really policed? It seems implied but not really enforced. Staff wasn't really around at all. But lots of announcements constantly going. The color of the band you wear matters since you are only allowed 2 hours of play. My girl played with everything and we had some time to spare.

I've watched my little one's confidence blossom and the socialization the kids get is so important!! Learning to share, waiting their turn and helping clean up are ALL incorporated each class. There are activities galore at the destination. We have chose 2 hour climbing park. I have called at first with few questions all of which were answered. My suggestions before going would as follows: - to fill out waiver beforehand (it expedites the entry process). - to bring your own gloves (garden, batting or even weightlifting kind would all be appropriate), otherwise you purchase at the check in desk. - wear appropriate shoes, gripped even better (we are visiting from Florida and I only had fashion tennis shoes which I do not recommend). - bring your own water bottle (it can be safely set anywhere around the park). There are drinks for purchase though such as water, Poppi, Gatorade and Celsius to name a few. - there are 9 courses total, 3 of which are for 5 years old and over. Due to time constraints if you want a challenge, start with the hardest. My son and I finished 4 and we did the opposite. By the end I was taking numerous breaks and was wiped out. I felt as if I'm missing out on the hard courses. - consider wearing pants/shorts with zippers. I wore bikers shorts with side pockets and had my phone and keys in them. At the very first course, I noticed my keys were gone. The staff were incredibly helpful. They found them before I came down from the course and safely stored them for me. I compliment the staff and appreciate their attentiveness! I will be returning with all of my kids (ages 14, 11, 5 and 3) next summer when we visit Michigan!

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and they took their time talking with us and interacting with anyone who had questions. Petting and holding the reptiles really made the experience fun for the kids. The stacked habitats were too high to see what was in all of them. The lower ones were good enough for me to peer into..... Hairy spiders. The aquarium side had a huge jelly fish tank that let you change the colors of the lighting with the press of a button so you could see them glowing in the different colors of the water. 2020-11-08 Red Oaks County Park. Madison Heights, MI…read more I've been taking my kids to this playground for years, and I think it's one that is highly underrated. Don't know why I never tried checking in on Yelp, but now that I have, I see that it's not even on the map! Tucked away behind the Red Oaks Youth Soccer Complex, the entrance to the parking lot is off of Dartmouth Street which is accessed by either John R (to the east) or 12 Mile Rd. (to the south). At the corner of John R and 12 Mi is a large plaza with a Lowe's and the new BJ's Wholesale Club. This park is located north of BJ's. The Soccer Complex is visible from John R, but the playground isn't. Being primarily a soccer complex, there is lots (and I mean plenty!) of free parking. The complex is open to the public for all to enjoy; however, priority does go to scheduled matches. There is a snack bar, but that's only open when there are scheduled events. On the backside of the snack bar is a small sheltered pavilion overlooking the playground. From the parking lot, the playground does not appear to be very large; however, it you take a walk through it, it's bigger than it appears from your car. There is also an area for athletes to warm up or train (pull ups, inclined sit ups or push ups). The park also has all the elements of a typical playground; swings, slides, monkey bars, hanging wheels (roundabouts, not merry-go-rounds), rope cargo net, balance chain and bongo bridge climbers, and the list goes on. This park is rated for kids 5-12 years old, but there is a small play structure suitable for those under 5 (see pics). The playground is never busy (at least not when we come), probably because not many are aware of it, and I really think it's one of the better ones in Madison Heights. The venue is nice and compact. Parking is literally steps away, and there's a sheltered pavilion for parents to sit and watch over their kids. If you have young'uns and you're in the area, you need to check it out! 5 stars. For now, you can check out my pics! Ooops, almost forgot to talk about COVID. Here are the particulars: They do not have modified hours Masks are required per MI DHHS Emergency Order when social distancing can't be maintained They do not provide masks They do not provide hand sanitizer Restrooms are open from 10:00 to dusk Playground is NOT sanitized daily Social distancing signs posted Pavilion has large metal picnic tables which are not sanitized daily If you would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company...
