I liked looking at the sculptures at the front of the park. They add a nice touch as you're walking along. They're for sale too if anyone's interested in purchasing these cool looking works of art. A must visit whether you're a family looking for children's activities or wanting an area to sit and enjoy a picnic lunch or someone who wants to enjoy a walk on the trail. The park is well kept and clean which gets a high mark from me because I enjoy not only walking along nicely landscaped trails, but taking in the surrounding scenery. There weren't any games in play when we were walking, so it was a quiet and serene walk. But there's plenty to do and see for all ages including being a spectator in the stands for baseball games or sitting on chairs and watching soccer games. This I'm sure will become one of our favorite places to walk and enjoy for years to come. I won't take away any stars, but I will say, that I wish people would pick up their pet's waste along the trails, as we almost stepped in a couple of them. They supply the bags if you forget to bring your own, but please don't let your pets do this on the trail and leave it for others to step in. Also, this is the second park where the soccer teams or spectators are leaving their empty bottles and or trash behind on the grass instead of picking up after themselves when the games are over. So as a gentle reminder, whether you're a player, parent or coach--- keep our parks picked up and clean for everyone to enjoy. It only takes a minute to do your share.

It provides picnic tables, two fun playgrounds for your kids, a trail (to walk, jog, run, and even bike), and many exercise equipments around the area. Whenever you do a full circle around the park, there is a fountain at the start to keep you hydrated! There are many places to get rest, including benches and tables. Even when you need shade on a summer day, there are several trees covering the whole park. Pull out a blanket, lay down, and enjoy! The park isn't just for any age range or alone. It's also great for spending time with family. The park mostly has children, but that doesn't mean adults can't have fun either! There are swing sets and balance poles for adults. While it may not be the largest park in the city, its a beloved spot for both locals and visitors. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star, is because the bathrooms are always locked or there is construction done near there! If you can't hold it in, I suggest not going here! Otherwise, this place is my favorite and new visitors are welcomed.

I've been coming here for years to skate and I don't expect people to get on their hands and knees scrubbing the boards and floor, but some damage needs to be addressed. -Seam covers for the bottom of the boards are falling off (pucks can go underneath) -Netting around the boards is falling off (pucks hit it and fall out) -random bumps and buckles on the floor (dangerous to skate on) -debris, garbage, animal poop on the floor A lot of the above would be solved if the floor wasn't open to the elements when the park is closed. Even a brief status-check of the rinks when the park opens and closes would be helpful.

All my photos show they have 2 outdoor roller rinks for hockey or for roller blading. Must read the two signs of rules and regulations. A few baseball diamonds. I'm sure they're active in the evening or on the weekends because there was real no activity here today. Soccer fields when soccer season is in. I took pictures of a picnic area and playscape for kids. Maybe for daycare groups or for families that stay at home with their kids to come and play. A few picnic tables to sit at and have lunch or snack. There are Restrooms attached by office, along with beverage vending machines. There's quite a bit of parking space. This is the park that displays fireworks in the month of June or before the 4th of July holiday. All in all there's a walkway going around through the park or sidewalk area with 2 entrances. It's worth a stop if you're in the area or driving back from Rochester and your resident of Shelby or Macomb making your way back home. Best of all the park is for the most part shaded by big mature trees making it a nice place to hang out on a hot summer day providing much needed relief from the mid day sun.
