Nice place as usual; I just wish the staff were on the same page. Awful policies. NOT REPAIR!!!

This is where I have bought half of my workout wardrobe. They carry my Under Armour, Addidas and Nike brand yoga pants, running tops. They carry some sleeveless as well and short sleeved v-neck and crew neck tops for gym or street running. There are often deals on the above brands at times. I recently bought my niece a gift card since she's now getting into working out some. She likes her sweatpants from here. They also have nice cool and wicking golf tops for men too. I buy much of my husband's golf shirts from here as well. This is one of the few dedicated sports apparel stores I go to with any frequency. I will often check prices on the web before purchasing but it's nice to touch and feel the fabric before purchasing. read more

All the people working here are Dick's....... employees. This Dick's store is in Troy in the suburbs and is full of overpriced Sporting Goods that really don't do it for me. I'm not a big fan and the only reason I come here is when I desperately need something like shin guards or socks for a soccer game or something for the gym in a pinch - but I'd rather go to Walmart and get my gloves cuz that'll better selection for about a third of the price. Plus some of the employees are you know... So I lost my gloves at one of the YMCAs in Detroit, so I had to come here as a matter of urgency and convenience. Expensive AF and not as good as the Walmart ones I get. read more

They should remove any type of hunting or sporting reference. I assume the only reason they still carry fishing poles is because they are not offensive. Hunter's provide an extreme amount of support to conservation and regulation . if anything we are some of the most avid supporters of the DNR and habitat rehabilitation and management. It saves our outdoors for the generations to come. That being said my recent interaction at this store was shameful for the type of brand they say they represent given the current climate. when you are looking for any type of ammunition or firearms whether it be for goose,hunting, target shooting ,skeet shooting, deer season,etc The fact that the store has elected to remove any and all ammunition and firearms is reprehensible! Ifyou are going to call yourself a sporting good store. The mindset has clearly now trickled down to the staff . When I asked where the skeet target loads were the employee acted almost offended stating we don't sell that kind of stuff here anymore! "we are a team store" . When I inquired as to what exactly "we are a team store "means he stated "you know jerseys and stuff like that " ."college teams" To that end Dicks if you want to be a glorified foot locker or Walmart then please do not falsely pass yourself off as anything other than that. Although the last time I remembered a "team store :". I think it worked out quite well for Steve and berrys didn't it?......... Thank you Dicks for forcing me and many other hunters and sportsmen to feel alienated and forced to go across the lot and spend money at the outdoor store that fo reference shares your same parking lot .! By the way in case you're curious maybe your store manager should take a walk across said parking lot and observe their "sporting goods" section It was so full you had to take a number like a deli counter!! I will happily make sure that myself and anyone I know takes them our business in the future per your apparent blatant dislike for any Michigan outdoorsman. I ordered a pair of winter boots online. The first time I ordered them, I never received a confirmation email, so I called customer service. They informed me that my order had been canceled. We figured out that it was most likely because I had accidentally typed my email in wrong. I then reordered the boots, this time ensuring my email was correct. Everything seemed fine until I once again never received a confirmation email. I once again called customer service, and they were able to send me the confirmation email. However, a few hours later, I received an email saying my order was ONCE AGAIN CANCELED. I again called customer service, and they informed me that for some reason, which they did not have access to, my information was not verified, so my order had to be called. We double-checked all of my information in case something else was wrong, but it was all correct. I have never had anything like this happen anywhere before. i gave up and ordered from somewhere else The customer service was great, but the company as a whole sucks. This was my first and last time buying anything from this company. read more

Dick's Sporting Goods bought Moosejaw and promptly shut them down. And then reported record sales after destroying people's livelihood. I don't trust that they really care about people. Just the bottom line. I would never shop there. read more

I was looking for a pair of water resistant hiking shoes or boots. I ended up buying the Colombia trailstorm mid waterproof model (men's size ten - my actual size is 9, 9-1/2, or 10 depending on the brand and type of shoe and what socks I am wearing), after my 3rd time in a week coming here and trying them on. After I tried them on the first time, I checked REI, sportsman's warehouse, Dunhams, and Shoe encore just to make sure I couldn't find anything cheaper that would do the job. The staff was unintrusive, they let me try on various models for as long as needed without asking more than one question of "are you doing ok"? ... Then after settling on the colombia's, I figured I would ask if they had running shorts with a built-in liner. I was happy to see they had at least 2 brands in my size (mens small) and a good selection of stuff in my size, but was dismayed to see prices of $35 to $45 not including tax but I ended up buying the $45 pair, which have both a surprisingly soft liner and a zippered pocket, after trying them on. I wouldn't have bought them if they hadn't let me try them on. Hopefully they will last a few years with careful use. read more

This is by far the worst DICK's I've ever been to. We visited this location on a Saturday evening around 4ish. When I walked in, a worker made eye contact with us, walked right past us--didn't even greet us or anything. Then, after not being able to find what I was looking for, I go up to him needing assistance, his attitude was extremely nasty. I won't be back to this location ever again. read more

Sorry, as a customer to Dicks in the past I feel sad about saying this but these stores have decided they no longer want my business. They've changed their focus and their inventory is no longer what I need or use. As a hunter and angler, I will be taking my business elsewhere where I am appreciated. read more

Sales help here is nonexistent. There's one very bored teenager that works on the floor. When I asked her where the softball pants were, she rolled her eyes and say it's over there. I had to say no please show me exactly where they are. Time of this encounter was 3:20 PM May 6th in case they want to increase their standards and hire someone else for her position. They also are probably undergoing bankruptcy because there's only one cashier for very long line. While I was on line I called the store to have them bring another cashier. read more

The manager, Bill, took a bad experience and made it right! The customer service at this location gets five stars! They are very competitive with pricing and will match prices with any competitor.... I won't go anywhere else for my golf equipment. read more

We always have good luck with the shoe dept employees here. Today, a simple question to a 20/30 something woman on the clothing floor about women's golf clothing got a snide remark the first time and a snotty look the second time. Incredibly rude. Won't be back. read more

Left here to go to Dunham's. Prices were crazy, and focus seemed to be on only items that would be high sellers. I mean, $80 for shoes for a 5 year old? Really? Not everything has to be Nike or Under Armour. Also, the layout and feel of this location is awful compared to the old store across the street. read more
