An employee walked by and watched a woman and her daughters help me put things back and didn't bother to stop. When I got to the cash I had inadvertently picked up the wrong size during housekeeping. So yay the cashier at least verified the size with me. This was after she stopped the transaction to answer the phone--excuse me I'm here and a sure bet for a sale, finish what you start! As I was headed back to get the right size I asked if she could check stock for a particular width. She told me they're all back there and motioned toward the aisles. Why yes they are, stacked like Jenga with 6 point font on the width and color. No wonder all the Birkenstock displays look like a Kindergarten block party. I was so annoyed I left. Good sale on shoes, decent selection if you're willing it put in the search and seek time and great shoes but THIS is why people shop on line.

They maintain the cleanliness and arrangement of the shoes, boxes, bags, hats, fancy jewelry and more for men's women's and kids. The clearance stickers were updated. One staff member was very kind and tried to help by finding boxes, but another employee (possibly the manager) came out, took them out of my hands, and firmly said no. She repeated that I had to select "gift wrap" during online checkout, but from a customer's perspective, after waiting in a long line, receiving 10 gift items stuffed into a small shopping bag was extremely disappointing. I understand store policies, but I expected at least a simple wrapping option or even an extra shopping bag. The way I was spoken to and dismissed made me feel very uncomfortable, and I couldn't help feeling that I was being treated differently--possibly because I'm Asian. I definitely won't be returning after this experience, and I regret not asking for the employee's name (short-haired lady with not-so-fluent English).

After browsing through the aisles I shortlisted a bunch of shoes to try. Elisha was super friendly and did her best to go through the stock - going up / down the ladder, checking the backroom etc for my size. (And multiple times - every time she came back I had shortlisted a few more) Unfortunately on the ones I selected, the smallest size available in stores were big for me. At this point Elisha suggested weekly days that they get restocked (few other styles have smaller sizes but they get sold FAST). However we live a good hour away and it'd have been difficult to come back. Determined to help she looked up the system and said she can put in a special online order for my size and it will be delivered at home. There was one particular pair I had my heart set on and listening to this had me super duper excited.. ORDER placed! Yes I returned a happy customer cos I did get my favorite pair but am also thoroughly impressed with the level of customer service Elisha displayed! Great job and Thank You

The store Manager and one Sales Associate took the time to understand what we were looking for and to find and optimum fit. We ended up buying 3 pairs of shoes, plus received one pair for free. The Store Manager apologized for the previous negative sales experience and noted that the error had been corrected as apparently other customers had similar observations. Based on the last visit and experience I decided that 5 stars are appropriate again.
