I purchased $330 in gifts for in-store pickup but was told I couldn't get any wrapping because I hadn't selected that option online. One staff member was very kind and tried to help by finding boxes, but another employee (possibly the manager) came out, took them out of my hands, and firmly said no. She repeated that I had to select "gift wrap" during online checkout, but from a customer's perspective, after waiting in a long line, receiving 10 gift items stuffed into a small shopping bag was extremely disappointing. I understand store policies, but I expected at least a simple wrapping option or even an extra shopping bag. The way I was spoken to and dismissed made me feel very uncomfortable, and I couldn't help feeling that I was being treated differently--possibly because I'm Asian. I definitely won't be returning after this experience, and I regret not asking for the employee's name (short-haired lady with not-so-fluent English). read more

Was in there shopping today and the store was clean and well organized but I couldn't believe my eyes, I was checking out and there was an Asian woman next to me trying to return a pair of shoes. The cashier wasn't patient and the manager was even worse. It was a pair of white shoes with white bottoms and I saw the bottoms they were a little smudged. I mean if you would have tried them on in the the store and took a couple of steps it would have done the same thing to the shoes. The female manager was nasty, she handed the customer a package of wipes and told her "get the marks off, if you can get them off then maybe we can return them". The customer was with a little girl and I felt so bad for her, I was humiliated and it wasn't even me that they were interacting with. Shame on the cashier and the poor excuse for a manager. read more

I'm going to try and be professional here and give a good review that's informative and not bias even though this is my favorite place to shop and save on all my clothing needs. The store is in a good location off 75 and Baldwin rd and they have an over abundance of parking. The store is large and covers men's and women's designer cloths at a fraction of the retail price. The staff on the registers and on the floor are easy to talk to and know the store layout well. It's always nice being pointed in the right direction the first time. They have plenty of changing rooms and they do a wonderful job of keeping the store organized, stocked and clean. Plenty of local restaurants, cafe's and coffee houses in this plaza so you can walk to everything and the don't mind you bringing in your drinks while you shop. Give this store a shot and I promise you'll be happy you did. read more

This review is 95% of their online ordering system and 5% for the store at GLC. I was very excited to find the Skechers I was looking for at NR online, after realizing they weren't stocked in store. I ordered them online and my ordered clearly stated that they would ship in 5-7 days via USPS. The tracking information wasn't updated to show that they were in transit for over 3 weeks. I stopped into the store, the ship to store order area seems super unorganized. The person I spoke to really wanted to help (the 1 star in this scenario), but when she called customer service, they gave her the same run-around. I found the shoes on Amazon, instead. I would love to give 5 stars(would have before yesterday).... ridiculously poor customer service in this location!!!! Horrible!! I highly suggest you train your employees WAY better on how to communicate with customers because they are terrible at it!!!! Saturday 8th.... woman on returns(had an accent, around 50, blonde) aged like she owned the place and sounded like she was just making things up as she ranted. HORRIBLE PEOPLE SKILLS.... We all love a good bargain right? Well, this new Nordstrom Rack location in Orion Township will have you darting left and right in search for that new purse, new pair of shoes, or a new suit. Because of the newness of this place, the layout is still very well organized, and not chaotic. The general flow is a lot more functional compared to the Troy location. Cash registers are on the right side of the store, and the dressing rooms are condensed into one big section opposite from the registers, and they are located in a pretty central area of the store. Shoes are still organized along the backside of the store, but they are a bit more spread out. I love that the aisles are wider, so you're not running into somebody else if either of you have shopping carts. Selection of inventory is more current, and easier to go through. They even have an entire section dedicated to activewear. Love that. The signage is clear and not invasive, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Just don't forget, as with all Nordstrom Rack stores, any of the employees will allow you to check out without standing in the long line. Credit card only though. Just approach them, and they'll whip out their handy card reader and you're on your way! Only about a little over 2 1/2 months old, I hope the space continues to maintain its organization and attention to cleanliness. For now, the 4 stars is deserving, as service and quality are up there. :) So, after a day at Great Lakes Crossing outlets, if you haven't found what you're looking for over there, take a quick jaunt across the 75 into the Baldwin Commons plaza, and have your pick on designer wear! read more

Definitely worth four stars! Neat, clean and orderly, easy to shop. It's in a shopping center by Great Lakes Crossing in the same center that has Kohl's and Petco. Prices are equal to TJ Maxx but the quality is higher. Tommy Bahama shirts, Michael Kors purses, Betsey Johnson jewelry, etc. Shop here first because the quality is so much better and the prices are comparable. My sister was going to buy one of the Croft and Barrow shoes for her husband and found some Sperry Top Sider's that were much nicer and a better value! read more

Baby shoe heaven. I have been staring at baby shoes on their online store for way longer than I should admit. If you are in need of baby Dr. Martens, Tom's, Sperry Top Sider, Pumas, or Converse look no further. They also have adorable baby clothes, most of the same brands as Saks. They have a decent plus size section, women's shoe section, and they carry Bulgari Black- the world's most delectable scent for men. Try it if your man enough. The handbag section at this store is severely lacking compared to other Nordstrom Racks, but I got my baby Tom's so I'm not complaining. Though I did complain a little because there were no baby Dr. Martens- which clearly my tot needs. You just have to trust me on this. read more

I showed up to check it out and it was opening day. I was actually just stopping in to look around and see if there were any good deals. The store was beautiful. Clean and neat. Items were displayed well, easy to look at. The staff was buzzing around and stopping to ask if you needed help. I happened upon the shoe department which of course set me back a few pairs of cuties. Thanks to opening day I got a reusable tote to take my goods home in and as I was leaving it started to pour. I mean like pour so much so loud it sounded like the roof was gonna cave in. I was standing at the front door with a dozen other ladies and their bags when a manager came rolling up with a cart. Can you guess what was in his little trolley? Can ya? Yeppers, bonus of the day....umbrellas. One for each of us so that our packages and us stayed dry all the way to our cars. I was beyond thrilled knowing I wouldn't have to wait forever for the storm to pass and that I could get going without getting drenched. I've been in the store several times since. It's always been neat in appearance, easy to navigate and super friendly sales folks. I highly recommend it...give it a look. read more

Nordstroms Rack has the best stuff! Always different stuff! I find all my dresses for events here and for great price. Stores are always clean. They have several stations to check you out so you don't have to wait in long lines. Anytime I ask the staff a question they are always helpful. The quality of Nordstroms stuff is better than anywhere I shop. read more

If I were rich I would still not have enough money to buy everything that I want in this place. Nordstrom's Rack is the place to go for the nicest items in your wardrobe. If you are going to a fancy party or you need a good suit please check out here. The service is phenomenal. Everything here is Mark down. the shoes the clothes the purses everything in here is reasonably priced if you are looking for a great deal on absolutely Stellar merchandise. I come here during the change of the seasons sales so that I can pick up nice spring merchandise and fall fashion at reasonable prices instead of going all the way to the outlet stores. This location is not far from Somerset Collection or Great Lakes Outlet mall so do yourself a favor and stop here first.
