I like coming to this Hot Topic location. If you love niche pop culture entertainment, especially…read moreanimation, this store gives you access to a lot of clothing and accessories to let your fandom shine. I came here for some Studio Ghibli magic and found a nice rack with cuteness. I also came looking for Sailor Moon items but only found one t-shirt. So the themed items come in waves of popularity, so if it is "off-season" for your favorite show or pop media, you may not find too many items. Still there is a lot of choose from packed in a really small space. Rent is high, so having a small space if usually ideal, but perhaps it has limited the amount of clothing available. In the past, Hot Topic had a lot more actual clothing, like retro dresses and fun sweaters, now that space has been downsized to a tiny spot on a back wall. I wish they would bring back more clothing. I also hear the company has trouble with licensing, which has led to a decrease in available products. Which is disappointing. Still, shopping here is fun. They have more than clothing, they have blind bags, fun candy, and still some unique finds. The individuals working here are always friendly, and usually go out of their way to assist you. I have always had wonderfully positive experiences. The sales are good too. If you shop smart you rarely have to pay full price and their clearance racks (usually located in the far back of the store) can get you some buy one get one free bargains. Always know your prices though, the register was not ringing up all of the sale items correctly, but the cashier was friendly and patient, and fixed the errors. We got socks buy two get one free, buy one T get one half off, $5 shorts, and $10 tanks, not too shabby! Time for me to stock up on the holiday gifts!!!

Particularly, Duluth Trading Co overalls. The pockets (so many!)! The comfort! The cute patterns! The flattering cut! The durability! The fit! Did I mention the pockets?? I did a count the other day and, uhmmm. I think I have a dozen of their bibs. Yes, I'm aware it's a problem. But I have so many different needs! One waterproof-ish one that I got for my trip to Zion and worked perfectly for my river hike through the Narrows, several pairs of heirloom gardening style in long pants and shorts, some solid colors as well as a few of the more whimsical patterns, etc. One denim, a few more "fashionable" varieties, etc. Dirt, clay, all of it just dust right off. They're so good, you guys! The heirloom bibs in particular are worth every penny but they have so many amazing sales and markdowns you'd be silly to pay full price. One day I was in my pottery class. Our classroom has a huge window that faces the street and people like to stop by and watch the potters in action. I was wearing a pair of my heirlooms (as per usual) and a guy came in off the street, peeked his head in the door, pointed at me, and said, "I know you are so comfortable right now!" And without a beat I said, "Duluth?" and he said "Heirloom" and the we laughed together then spent a solid 5 minutes talking about how great they are and convincing everyone in my class that they need a pair. Talk about an IYKYK moment! (Duluth, seriously, call me. I'd make a great spokesperson). My family has teased me over the last few years as I've acquired more and more but I'll tell you what, when I was walking around a rainy Greenfield Village H'alloween event I stayed nice and warm in my waterproof overalls, with the front pocket that perfectly housed my apple cider which I could easily sip through a straw, keeping my hands free for other uses. Anyway, my aunt watches me managing this outing with ease and says, "you know, maybe I should get a pair..." (she mocked me for my fanny pack 6 years ago too and look at where we are now!) Winning hearts and minds, y'all! Anyway, yesterday I went in and added 2 more shorteralls to my collection. One covered in small mushrooms and the other, a bright green succulent pattern. Both were heavily marked down so at least I'm strategic when it comes to my addiction?

The person who designed the exterior, interior, and windows of the store did a good job. The warm lighting and floral décor drew me in to take a look at the clothes. My teenage self would have loved shopping at Altar'd State. The juniors section has lots of cute dresses and skirts. The clothing is chic but also age appropriate for school and formal events. The women's section has fashionable sweaters, casual dresses, loungewear, and scarves made of high quality and soft material. Customer service is welcoming and there is someone on the floor to assist with any questions. This is definitely one of my favorite clothing stores at Somerset Collection!

On the afternoon of 9/3/2026, while out and about shopping thunderstorm alerts begin ringing throughout the store and on mobile phones. The manager and staff quickly took charge and alerted customers of the safety risk and offered to escort people to the designated area. Those who chose to leave the store did so and the store was locked down. Being a health care provider, I was extremely impressed with the manager, staff and the female security officer. They were so professional, kind, and helpful. They even brought chairs into the room so that people could sit down. Their demeanors were calm and supportive. It's so rare to see such amazing collaboration anymore. After the storm blew over (approx 45 mins), I was able to purchase my items and safely proceed with my day. I want to say to each of you, thank you for all that you do and know that I appreciate how you made me feel safe during a very serious storm. Product value and selection works well in this pricey economy.

The 50% off on special days or weekends plus the reduced pricing for a designated color tag makes it feel like a scavenger hunt when I'm shopping. They also throw additional fun by giving you a bingo card to try to win 50% off. Paris, the cashier, was very pleasant and helpful. I walked away with a bag of great deals.
