I always get compliments on clothes and shoes from here. Torrid makes very well-fitting pants and jeans - They are my favorite store to shop for these! If you are a bigger girl, they know your body. Swim styles are figure conscious and beautiful. I get the feeling the designers aren't doing their time in the plus-size minor league until they can "advance" to smaller sizes. The clothes feel like the designers know what is flattering to larger sizes and have fun with fashion. For some styles online, they will model an item with THREE different size models so you have a pretty good idea of how it will look on you. Brilliant. You'll find cute wide sandals and boots for wide calves -hallelujah! - and of much better style and quality than other stores I've shopped for similar items. I tend to wear my shoes from here often. Really cute. Their footwear is all wide, but can also run inconsistently large. I usually need a half size smaller here than in other shoe stores, so make sure to check reviews if you should size down. If you order online IN STORE with the cashier they will exchange the order for a larger/smaller size if they don't fit right when they arrive. I think if you order clearance items on your own there are no exchanges, so that's a definite advantage of in-store shopping. Staff is kind and helpful. They will bring you sizes when you are trying on and really care about what you are looking to find and your experience. They get a limited number of some items in store... Certain cute items seem to sell out in middle sizes in-store quickly. If they don't have your size they will look online and combine the order w your in store purchase so you can get the best sale values. Online they have short and extra short for some pants, which is really nice. Prices can be a little high for quality on some items, but shop the promos and you'll do great. Pre-loved items are in very good condition, sometimes a tag is still attached to it from the original store. Clothes Mentor smells so good that it sets your mood to shopping therapy mode ;-) They accepts cash or credit card payment. I could have given a 5 star rating however some of the staff were very insensitive to walk-in customers, most especially to those who don't speak or understand English at all. I saw the expression on their faces the dismay when an elderly customers ask and they seem to be not so helpful. You could hear the same answer like "whatever is out there is what we have". Also, some of them choose to greet whoever they want to greet that day. I kept it paid off every month. I went over the limit - and paid the entire amount off in one payment and I have not paid one dollar in interest. When I made the last payment, they placed a hold for 7 days! I could not get them to release the hold, the representative said it could not be removed. The sale ends today. I felt angry but I cancelled the account. It is unfortunate because you get good deals and I like their clothing. As for the store shopping experience, the last time I was in the store, the sales personnel followed me while in the store and while I tried clothes on. (Ann Arbor store on Washtenaw) I feel disappointed but I guess I don't need anymore clothes.

We were able to find them both matching vests for the cold weather - cute, I know! The store layout and sale racks were pretty organized, something I LOVE about big sales going on. I'm way more likely to stay and make a purchase when I can actually find the items. The reason this EB gets 5 stars from me, though, is because of the store associate, David. When we were checking out, it seemed that the coupon my mom had wasn't going through, likely due to the fact that she hadn't used her EB credit card in a while and that it may have lapsed *facepalm*. David offered to open a new card for her which would include an extra 10% off the purchase! However, corporate still had her credit card on file and just needed to reactivate it...so 10 minutes and a phone call later, the card got reactivated. In the windows of Eddie Bauer there was a sign that the entire store was 40 % off. Clearance items were 50% off the marked down price. The sales staff was pleasant with helping us directing us to the various places they had men's raincoats which were everywhere. No one spot something I disliked but a good sales pitch because I passed by a top and that I liked and of course bought. When we were ready to purchase the items we were told if I signed up for the reward program I would receive another 10% off the purchase. Great deals.
