Staff was very pleasant and helpful even while being short-staffed. The store is clean and well organized. While older/tween kid selection was not nearly as vast compared to baby clothes and toys, it was enough to meet our needs. Returns are simple and easy. Parking lot is a little hard to get to. The whole place was undergoing construction when we arrived. Very few selections of toys (compared to other OUAC locations I've been to... same as shoes- not many choices) Staff was friendly though and store was clean. Very disappointed and upset that the manager let my special needs kid go (fired) without any communication. This company had a chance to get a job coach in to help if they were not happy (never communicated they were not happy to my kid or his liaison) and my son was not given that opportunity. I come in here every once in awhile now that my kid is older. Each time over the years I get the same vibe from this place that makes my visits few and far between. I entered and none of the three employees greeted me. They were just opening so it was not busy. I looked around for about 10 minutes and left. Neither of the two employees said a word on my way out. When I compare this store to other ones in the area this one is hands-down more expensive. This store has more baby clothes compared to toddler or kid clothes so if that's what you're looking for it's perfect. They do not carry a lot of baby gear either compared to others. The one thing that annoys me about the store is the pricing is not consistent you can see one tank top in a size 5 for $1.50 you can see the same exact tank top and a size 6 for $2.50. read more

Have been a few times now. Having 3 under 10 this place comes in handy. Everyone there has always been nice. It is well laid out and easy to find what you need. Very clean and everything is very orderly. I feel way better that old location. That always seems cramped and a mess. Great job. Take you old stuff and just donate what they don't buy. Rude. Walking up a half hour early from edited opening times, the lady working wouldn't even let me drop off a box and walk away. I was essentially donating clothes that they could sell for 100% profit and she wouldn't even open the door. Then I sat there trying to wait, and she returned to the door and told me that she would not be buying my clothes, I should just leave. Staff is friendly and buying from their store seems easy but I would NOT recommend selling to them. A friend warned me against it but I thought I would give it a try. She was totally right. It's a tedious process that wastes so much of your time that it's not worth it. As frustrating as it can be to sell items online, it is no less frustrating (or less time consuming) to try and sell to this store. Received the worst service at this location I have never felt so discriminated against in my entire life! I buy from the Troy location and have even sold toys back at troy location before. I've never sold clothing before however this location didn't even look through my bin. When I came to check in they took my bin and bag of toys. I began to look around and shop for things while my husband stood by the door waiting. After shopping I went and joined him while my items stayed exactly where I left them. I receive a text message stating I was ready for check out. I went to the same lady who checked me in asking if this text message was a mistake seeing how no one had even touched my bin. She very rudely says I need to go ask someone at the register for help. I show the lady at the register my text message she's just as confused because no even looked at the bin. The same rude lady (white with a blonde bob) comes up and says the toys are in a bag so she couldn't look at my items. I was so furious I just left because it was clear she didn't want to help me so I just politely grabbed my items and left. My issue is what does the toys have to do with the clothes I spend good money on my daughters clothes and love the concept of once upon a time because children wear things once if that before they grow. I had two pairs of Air Force ones (limited vday edition) two pairs of crocs one never even worn Colombia jacket brand new! Not only did she lie about looking through my items she let me check in with a bag of toys watched me sit for 30 mins waiting and never once informed me of the policy how rude what a waste of time! I want to escalate this all the way up to the top! This level of disrespect was uncalled for and very hurtful! Very clean and nice items but they very picky when selling back. I understand they have to be to an extent but when some of the clothes on the floor are in worse condition then what I'm trying to sell it's kind of a bummer. There prices are good but the staff isn't friendly and it's hard to shop there with kids. Not set up for a easy experience. I also had a problem with the new reward program, they somehow didn't transfer my points through correctly and I lost 2 30 percent off coupons due to it. Meh. Some of the clothes (although in good condition) are quite literally outdated by 5-8 years i.e my 8 y.o wore theses token Target/Kohls styles YEARS AND years ago! More baby and toddler and shoe bin is weak. They need to sharpen the buyers here. And prices are bizarre. Cat and Jack shirts are $5 brand new...yet they have shirts at $4 and $5? I usually shop at the Canton location but since I've moved I tried the location on Southfield rd,TERRIBLE. Any who, I still work in the same area so I stopped into the Novi location one morning where I was politely greeted. This store is clean, well organized and full of clothing, shoes, children's gear, books, and toys that are km excellent shape and in style. I don't remember smelling that overpowering smell of detergent or whatever it is that they use at the other stores. They even had sippy cups, and spoons still packaged for sale. This location is my favorite and I will be returning. read more
