    Big sale on hydro flask
    Stacy K.

Sierra Trading Post saved the day, or at least the upcoming holidays! If your kids are like mine, they want the name brand items, like Hydro Flask, but those are very expensive! I've looked at all of the sporting good stores, and they informed me those water bottles rarely go on sale. Since I like to start my holiday shopping super early, I'm on the look out for a bargain. We stumbled into Sierra and tada...an entire section of sales on all of the family's favorite brand named items including Hydro Flask. A miracle! Plus the sales people were very helpful and informative. They let me know if I find more items online they will ship it to the store for free and allow returns from online! This store will be on my holiday shopping list for sure. They also have great camping gear, clothing, shoes, and fun accessories. This store is owned by TJ Max, but is very organized, neat, and easy to shop in. You do not have to dig around to find name brands, everything is a good brand at a decent price. They seem to have a great return policy, you have 30 days for a refund, but after that you get store credit, which will be fine since they have great products. If you are in the area, before you spend full price check this place first, they seem to get all of the trendy items in stock.

I did not need to know this place existed. Great selection, great prices. That's all you need to know.

Horrible Santa Reservation System - Children Left Disappointed…read more I prepaid and made reservations for a 2:30 PM visit with Santa today at Twelve Oaks Mall for my 8-year-old daughter and her friend. When we arrived there were two lines--one for reservations and one for walk-ups--but absolutely no organization whatsoever. No one was actually checking reservation times, so people with later time slots could have easily been standing ahead of us in line for all we know. We stood in the "reservation" line for 25 minutes with zero movement, and when we finally asked, the manager told us they were still on 1:30 PM appointments and were not actually checking appointment times until you got to the front of the line- not sure what good that does. She even admitted things were not set up correctly and things were not running smoothly, but had no explanation as to why no one was checking times when putting people in line. We unfortunately had to leave because we had already waited with no progress and two disappointed little girls who didn't even get to see Santa. And after all that, they told me no refund was possible even though they clearly weren't honoring the reservation time I paid for. Very poor organization, very disappointing for kids, and extremely unprofessional to take payment up front without providing what was purchased. I really hope management sees this, because this was NOT at all the magical Santa experience we paid for. I would absolutely not recommend booking here based on today's experience.

My review is primarily for the shoe department, but I like this store a lot overall…read more I had an exchange for an item that is not sold in stores. I anticipated having to return the shoes and buy them again online, but the sales associate swiftly explained that she could do a full exchange and have the correct size sent to me without me having to lift a finger (or charge my card again! Yay) The whole process was done in 3 minutes, and the new shoes are already on their way. I wish the fragrance department carried more brands (le labo, Diptyque, more products from the nue co), but there's also lots to peruse in that section as it is. Friendly and prompt service make this a great shopping experience.

Going downhill fast! Very disappointing trip to Nordstrom yesterday. After purchasing a dress on…read moreclearance from the juniors department, I realized they had left the plastic piece on the dress that can only be removed by the store. The second floor had next to no one available anywhere. I went to the juniors department, where I had purchased the dress, and was met with an associate who was on a personal call, and then very curtly told me that she "could not help" because she was now clocking out after concluding her personal phone call on her cell phone. I had to wait for her to wrap up her personal call before she shared her message of not being able to help with me. She then sent me to the other side of the store and said they were plenty of registers open. Well, not exactly. I did come across a nice associate, who was apparently in training, but she, too could not help me. She left to try to find someone who could help me. Another employee in training explained to me that it was not the employee in training's fault that she couldn't help me. I explained that I understood that and was then met with yet another Nordstrom employee, who appeared confused about my request. He, too, was going to get someone, or he said I could go to Customer Service. I decided to go to Customer Service where I asked if they could remove the plastic piece, and if she could check if there was another size in the dress as the original was slightly too big. While she was explaining to me that it was sold out, she actually opened up a piece of candy in front of me and started eating it. At this point, I said, I just wanted to return the dress altogether. All of this hassle for a one item return. Add to that, the reason I even went back was because they had left the large plastic piece (theft deterrent) on the dress. it was such a lackluster and disappointing visit to the store. I actually prefer Macy's at this point as they have far more help on the floor and they have a better energy in their store. The energy inside of Nordstrom was flat, and no one seemed excited or happy to be performing their job. Very disappointing experience. Based on this experience, I have decided that I am no longer a Nordstrom shopper.

Doesn't look like the usual Red target that I'm used to. I stopped by to look for several items for our store. A small space microwave, toaster oven, trivet, oven mitts and pads, utensil caddy, tongs, spatula, 3M hooks for hanging items in the kitchen and break room area on the wall and whatever other items I could think of that might be good for our break. I wanted the Black and Decker microwave, but they had none, so I ended up with the Kenmore instead. Although I wasn't able to find the coffee maker pad, I was looking for or the utensil caddy. I'm hoping I can improvise with other items instead. $260 later. I got just about everything on my buy list.

I arrived at Walmart around 2:46 PM, quickly grabbed a phone charger, and stood in line at the electronics register behind another customer. After waiting in line patiently, the cashier waited until it was finally my turn to inform me, "Oh, you can take that up front. He just had something locked." This meant I had to walk all the way to the front of the store again and check out there, which defeated the purpose of waiting in the electronics line. The issue isn't the direction to pay upfront -- it's the lack of proactive communication and customer consideration. If the cashier had simply informed me before I waited, I could have avoided unnecessary delay while already pressed for time. Customer service means being clear, helpful, and considerate. A simple statement like, "you can pay for that up front so you don't have to wait here," would have saved time and shown professionalism and courtesy. I am submitting this because I believe customer service training in awareness and communication would greatly improve customer experience. I wasn't asking for convenience, just basic courtesy. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Colleena Hernandez
