So excited about this new store in Novi Michigan. Located in the back of the Sakura plaza. Lots of parking, but still crowded on grand opening day! Very friendly staff. So much to chose from. Love this long awaited addition to Novi!

"Teso Life is a Japanese fashion casual life product department store." They collaborate with well-known Japanese suppliers and developers to provide high quality, diverse, convenient products. Everything is Japanese! It's clean and organized, insanely busy. Bright orange bags cost 10 cents each. We found a lot of Pokémon and Hello Kitty goodies, which my kids loved. Items are reasonably priced too. We're excited to try out our new stuff. It was a cool experience and fun place to shop!

What a fun new store in Novi! They sell all sorts of stuff, from frozen treats to makeup to toys. It just opened and was super busy. I'll have to go back another day and check out each aisle. Staff stationed in the aisles were not helpful. Most were just checking out the merch and not helping customers. Decent amount of parking but given how busy it was, we parked in the apartment parking lot.

Upon arriving in the women's department, we asked Ann where we should go for alterations. Ann couldn't be bothered to show us where to go, she instead pointed to a nearby fitting room. We then asked Deborah, and she took the dress, found a fitting room for my friend and promptly called the alterations department. Thank you Deborah. After the alterations were complete, it was suggested to my friend that she open a Nordstrom credit card in order to get back the alteration fee in Nordstrom notes. Deborah so kindly started the process. 45 minutes later, after being transferred around to four or five different departments on the phone, Deborah called for a manager. Kurtis, the manager, was finally able to finish the process. Had the alteration fee not been so steep ,we would have walked away. Truly, ridiculous. Kurtis did provide us a free lunch in the Bistro, for all the time wasted. While waiting for the approval process, I wandered into the lingerie department to look for a specific brand of underwear. There was no one working in the department. I had to find someone from another area and of course the sales person immediately said that wasn't their department. What has happened to Nordstrom and their sales team? Nordstrom was always the gold standard for customer service. Perhaps they should take a lesson from Von Maur- There are always plenty of people working and you are always asked if you need help. I am not sure why I would go back to Nordstrom.

Doesn't look like the usual Red target that I'm used to. I stopped by to look for several items for our store. A small space microwave, toaster oven, trivet, oven mitts and pads, utensil caddy, tongs, spatula, 3M hooks for hanging items in the kitchen and break room area on the wall and whatever other items I could think of that might be good for our break. I wanted the Black and Decker microwave, but they had none, so I ended up with the Kenmore instead. Although I wasn't able to find the coffee maker pad, I was looking for or the utensil caddy. I'm hoping I can improvise with other items instead. $260 later. I got just about everything on my buy list.

I arrived at Walmart around 2:46 PM, quickly grabbed a phone charger, and stood in line at the electronics register behind another customer. After waiting in line patiently, the cashier waited until it was finally my turn to inform me, "Oh, you can take that up front. He just had something locked." This meant I had to walk all the way to the front of the store again and check out there, which defeated the purpose of waiting in the electronics line. The issue isn't the direction to pay upfront -- it's the lack of proactive communication and customer consideration. If the cashier had simply informed me before I waited, I could have avoided unnecessary delay while already pressed for time. Customer service means being clear, helpful, and considerate. A simple statement like, "you can pay for that up front so you don't have to wait here," would have saved time and shown professionalism and courtesy. I am submitting this because I believe customer service training in awareness and communication would greatly improve customer experience. I wasn't asking for convenience, just basic courtesy. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Colleena Hernandez
