Genuinely fun experience! It's nice to see a place that's…read morekeeping the art of arcades alive, you definitely can feel the love of the games when you walk in. There's a "help keep the lights on" donation box right as you walk in/out. All the games are cheap, usually $.50 to play, just like they have been for years. There was a power surge and we lost $4 of progress in our Simpsons game run, and the owner pulled money out of his pocket to make up for the time we lost. A lot of reviews are complaining about the price of the icecream, but you have to understand this place needs to be able to keep its lights on. This isn't a place that's was designed to make money, it was designed to be a get together for families, and having fresh stock icecream when your games are all under a dollar is expensive. Will be revisiting soon!

Cute place located near our favorite matcha café and restaurants we enjoy. It is very tiny and…read morenostalgic. Several fun games and some claw machines. It is packed with a lot to look at in a tiny space. We came during the week when most people are at school or work, so I do not know how busy this place might get. We did not get any ice cream, so I cannot speak to the freshness of the food, but they did have a nice variety of flavors and the prices looked good. I am not sure of the portions or anything, but I would be willing to come back and try. I owner did offer samples, but since I was not buying on this day, I declined. The owner seemed very nice. He said he was inspired by Marvin's and was happy to hear we thought it reminded us of his childhood hangout. He was super interested in ideas. I would like to come back again when we have more time to hangout and explore more in the future.

Very disappointed…read more The space for the Beercade is very small and quickly got too crowded, even for an early Sunday afternoon venture. There's also no room for expansion, so if they ever decide to add new machines, they'll have to rotate out some old ones. It's also very awkward to be served food and drinks here... being surrounded by complete strangers when I'm trying to enjoy lunch is a bit weird. The cabs they do have are mostly quality titles (NBA Jam, WWF Wrestlemania, Street Fighter 2, NFL Blitz etc...) and there are a four or five pinball machines. Most of the cabs seemed to be in OK shape, but the Terminator 2, Street Fighter and NBA Jam cabs weren't registering each quarter as a credit, and on top of that, when NBA Jam did finally accept my $2.00 donation, the shoot button on the player one side wasn't functional, so it was a total waste. The waitstaff wasn't helpful; I understand that they probably don't know how to fix the machines, but they also didn't help by offering a refund. Other than that, the beer at Terry's Terrace is way overpriced... and I mean by $2.00 a pour in most cases, and the food is mediocre at best. I was hoping to have an enjoyable early afternoon, reliving the past by playing some good arcade games, but I blew through $5 quicker in mere minutes because the machines I wanted to play registered every third quarter as a credit. I can deal with inflated beer prices, but please, get a tech in there to maintain your equipment. What good is a beercade when you can't even enjoy the games?
