Came here with the family for the first time. Was slightly annoyed upon first arrival because all bags have to be no bigger then 8x5 inches. So I had to figure that out. Then to see the prices were significantly higher than expected ; $50/ person for unlimited access to all the rides ..... I could pay that at cedar point with bigger coasters and for more rides! Anyways, we enjoyed our evening together and rode all the rides and gokarts. We even had lunch there at the Alley and it was surprisingly delicious! Everybody enjoyed their food. We're in town visiting from Florida so it's hard to not be biased with our review So here's my overall thoughts you're not allowed to carry in a bag bigger than 8 x 5 so no purses, which means you have to leave your purse in the car which could be unsafe. There's a 50-50 chance you would have to take or be prepared. There's nothing about this stated on the website. They have a lot to do such as two different go kart tracks six or seven different rides batting cages in arcade We came with two teenagers and three adults. There are some places to sit and rest while the kids wait and ride, but not enough throughout the park It can be a little pricey if you're coming in the evening so it might be important to plan ahead There are weight restrictions on several rides for 250 pounds or less which I feel is important to say, especially if you're planning to come with your family and not everybody is a size 2 They do offer food and drink in different parts of the park, but it seems to be a little pricey It was quite hot today, so there wasn't very many people in the lines weren't too bad however we were informed that the lines get really bad during the summer They have security all over the place, at least one of each ride and multiple in the entrance and near the exits Overall, I would suggest to plan ahead read more

There were a lot of positives about this place. There was a lot to do on a sunny day. We enjoyed looking around at all of the rides. I did see many I would love to try, I am a power tower, zip line, and roller coaster fan. They had some yummy looking food choices and a nice bar plus food trucks outside. They had a nice assortment of games and claw machines, a tiny bowling area, and a cute tiny power tower on the inside. The people working the counter seemed nice and efficient. They have security out front, which I suppose it good, most amusement parks do have security, but it is also a tad bit worrisome about what kind of behavior could go on here. We just want to have a good time. We did not have the kids, so we just wanted to try a ride before we committed to a day pass. We did the Indy Sky Track. Some of the rules stated no bumping and that people who did would get warnings. I was bumped several times by the same people, and there were multiple staff all of the track and never said anything. Some people were driving rough, into others and crashing into the tires. I did have a good time, and I do go on bumper cars at other amusement parks, but I did not appreciate getting rear ended. I liked the track and would probably come back with the kids, but I would only come early as I did. We came here as part of a buddy trip. We saw the new multi level course and had to race it. 4 grown professional men living our childhood fun. Didn't even do other events here. Just races for hours. I understand working at a high volume entertainment park is NOT easy.. for such high prices fixing Customer service satisfaction should be a priority.. I think it's important to encourage staff especially some of the younger girls to put a smile on their faces. Start by putting employees who ONE actually enjoy their job and TWO who get along well with kids work the kids sections. My little brother felt like he did something wrong to make one of the girls upset with him because she was visibly mad and showed no care to make him have a good experience. This is a cool spot! We arrived right at opening on a weekday and it wasn't too busy! I purchased wrist bands for the kids and got a $50 fun card on Groupon. The fun card allows you to ride the attractions and play games. It was a great deal for me because I only wanted to do a few things. It was hot outside, but we had a blast. There are 3 different go kart tracks. The biggest one is all the way in the back by the rollercoaster and zip line. I hate that we didn't realize that until later. The water bumpers were fun and the zip line was nice but the line moved so slow. I think it was worth it though. There's a heavy security presence here which is great! Took my son here for his birthday. Rented out a room and ordered four pizzas with wings and a big salad with drinks the waitress who was directly there to help our party was super nice I enjoyed everything. The package came with ten wrist bands for the kids to ride all rides and I bought some extra game cards for them to enjoy the arcade. Then we were standing by the counter waiting for the rest of our group because there was only one bathroom working for the entire place, the staff rudely told us to move not once but twice. We came on one of the hottest days of a heatwave and the advantage was the short lines for rides. We purchased the ride cards and if you manage to go on at least 3 rides, you break even. We managed to go on at least twice that amount. One of the main draws is the arcade and that will eat your money quickly. My advice is to give each kid a card with a set amount and when runs out, you are done. The food, while not cheap, was not too outrageously priced. read more

If I can rate this place NO stars or -0 I would! I grew up coming to this place and we have so many memories. That said, there has been awesome changes that have happened and I love to bring my family. Unfortunately, we will not come anymore and I will be sure to let everyone AND MY COMMUNITY know how disrespectful security is. I completely understand that they are trying to secure the place based on shootings in Michigan. Hence the security and the METAL detector. Protection for the public is important! Security was doing a good job until they started making stuff up like, stop yelling, stop cursing. I naturally have a loud voice and the male security was about 10ft from me and using the same tone of voice. When I pointed that out, he got more offended, he lowered his voice and I couldn't hear him, so he moved closer to the side-walk where I was standing. I didn't realize that this was an airport! I really wish I recorded b/c it will be security's word over my own and I have an entire family who can attest to this. The entire problem started because they didn't allow anything bigger than a 5x8" purse and a water bottle with water and minerals due to my health. They said I had to dump out my water and drink Aquafina, which has fluoride and chlorine. I cannot drink this water, do they expect me to get dehydrated!? The entire purse situations was ridiculous because the purse was by 8" but not by 5" I believe it was an inch taller. It was irritating to watch security allow other black females without a problem but the one white lady who's an inch off, cannot have her purse!? Not everyone carries a Lulu lemon 5 x 8" fanny pack. The security gentleman was trying to ensure that nobody was going to break into my car. Let's not forget, he's guarding the front door. CJ Barrymore's parking lot is pretty big. Nobody can guarantee that my car will not get broken into b/c of personal belongings. They don't have security cameras in the parking lot. Explain how this male security was so adamant about protecting the entire parking lot. Huh? That is something you cannot guarantee anybody unless you have an entire team of security officers all over the place, which they do not. I asked for the manager and I was trying to explain the matter but security was jumping in and not allowing me to talk, which made it a bigger issue. I decided to comply b/c it was my birthday and I had my entire family with me. How embarrassing! Security said I made a seen, which was not true. It's busy, people were walking in and out. I even had a few people laugh. The manager was acting like a normal employee, he didn't say much and allowed security to speak for him, security refused for me to come in after trying to respectfully talk to the supposed manager. Apparently they felt threatened b/c of my health and they did not like everything I had a rebuttal for, he didn't know what to say. The female security that was not involved said I couldn't come in. The male security settled for that and again, the manager said nothing. People should be allowed to bring water and not forced to drink or buy brands that they choose not to drink or because of health issues. The purse should be no bigger than 8"x8" that makes more sense. Nobody wants to leave there personal belonging at place with theft and risk my window or car getting broken into. always a good time. just don't bring your marijuana vape because they won't allow that in. but if it's other vapes like breezes, then they'll allow that. security does their job and that's all that matters and as long as you allow them to, it's good. just remember to take off your apple watch, or any, so it doesn't beep when you walk through that metal scanner. i know this place is often packed with older kids and young adults, but even if you're the couch generation, just remember to not drink and act crazy. i've seen older, more mature adults who seems a bit intoxicated that can't seem to hold it a bit together. i'm only saying this because i have my kids with me and we all want to have an enjoyable time with whoever we are out with. be mindful of others around you. you can buy tap beer but you can only drink it at the patio or inside. i'm not sure if you're allowed to take your drink with you around the park but i've seen other adults do it. so maybe? i didn't though because i choose to sit and drink rather than walking when there's kids around. this place is a gem as long as you know how to keep it safe and fun for not only yourself but for everyone else as well. it's always clean. not being dramatic. and love that all the rides and activities are open for you on open days but depending on the hour of the open day, some food trucks are closed and that's a bummer. if you are a night life person, come around 6-8pm. they have their lights on with their rides and it feels magical. and the weather if it's perfect, it's a happy time. that is if you have good company too. just sucks that it's expensive but you can buy credit on a card and you can use that for the indoor arcade or rides outside. :) but i suggest just buying the wrist band. you'll save more $$ if you intend to go do a bit of everything. also, i recommend the dirty blonde drink from the bar. last but not least, they have birthday party areas that you can reserve for your kiddos birthday, or anyone for that matter. so if you have a child, or child adult (LOL), and they love arcades and going on rides, this is the place. read more

This is always the place I think of when go- carting comes to mind. I can't say I have ever been to the laser tag, yet. I have been to the arcades as well. The outside go-carting is always a good time as couples or with a group of friends to let off some steam after a week or work. Who doesn't want to play a light session of racing on a mini Indi or Grand Prix track or some head jarring with the bumper cars without having to involve the police or insurance, or worse any road raging, right? Come here and enjoy a bit of tension release. Prices are reasonable too, $7-8 for a single or double cart. read more

They were giving me dirty looks for no reason and I was so nice to them. I even said thank you after that. I'm sorry that there job is so miserable. CJ Barrymore, you should see what goes on with your employees. I would never bring my kids here because the staff are just not nice and they're all teenagers who don't know what they're doing. read more

We have been here many times in the last 20ish years. They have a variety of entertainment options. We usually try to avoid it as it has gone downhill in the past couple years. The prices have gone up and there have been some scuffles. Now they have security and you need to pass through a metal detector before entering. But it's also the only putt putt golf course in the area, so from time to time we enjoy using the course. The food is edible but not great, mostly bar food. read more

I formally reviewed this place sometime ago and was probably a bit overly generous at the time. Likely because I have been coming here for over twenty years and was a bit nostalgic at the time. Well tonight just sealed the deal on NEVER coming back. The security I mentioned prior, the ones out front that are dressed like they are about to do a tactical entry on a "Dope House," mind you, they are NOT actually police officers, are WAY to overzealous. They attempt to be professional but clearly are not well suited for the positions and very poorly trained. Frankly, I believe they are a much higher risk to the safety and security of the patrons and the place, than they are worth. These security guards displayed an amazingly poor attitude tonight and a clear lack of ability to judge the merits, and understanding of a situation and of what's actually going on. I would absolutely say this place is a ticking TIME BOMB waiting to happen. I was told, sometime ago, that there had been large altercations here, and that's why they have so much security. Now I question if the problems they had was actually a direct result of the poor security. Perhaps this place should direct its security to stop wearing all the law enforcement regalia, tactical weapons, and stop attempting to intimidate its patrons into submission. I'm going out on a limb here, maybe from years of actual police experience, that if they tried less to pretend to be like law enforcement, and instead focus more on training, de-escalation, and generally work on their poor attitudes, that this place would be much safer. I would not recommend anyone to come here anymore..... which is a shame, because this was once a nice place. read more

Our school went to CJ Barrymore on June 3rd. We paid $29/per student that included the rides and unlimited complimentary hot dogs, chips, and refreshments. I must leave this review for food management. It's sad and unfortunate to serve a "hot" dog on COLD buns. The amount of money we paid is shameful for the food we received. You MUST do better!!!! This place is a child's paradise, and for adults like me that love to have fun. They have an indoor arcade, and I persoanlly enjoy the lazer tag. They do have bowling, but I have not tried that yet. They have seating everywhere and quite a few stands with food and drink options. They have cards for games or bracelets for unlimited fun. There have Zipline, miniature Golf, loop roller coaster, grand prix track, indy track, turbi and rookie track, double karts, bumper boats, batting cages, water wars, rock climbing, eurobungy, and a driving range. Sometimes the lines get a bit long though, so keep that in mind. The unlimited can be tricky if it is too busy. Overall, this place is a lot of fun. Besides being extremely crowded, I have no other complaints. It's still a fun place to be, and especially cool for kids, at least for the first time. We've driven past it a hundred times with my daughter commenting on the Ferris wheel each time. I was glad she could enjoy it. She loved it. Along with the spinning coaster. This place is great fun for both kids and adults. It's best to buy your card on Groupon before you go. This card you can use for things like putt putt, arcade games, bowling, and much more. Not very handicap accessible and rude customer service care. I went for the first time today and my experience was horrible starting from parking! Very very few handicap spaces and they were all taken so I had to park way over by McDonald's! Then to get in the line went up the stairs instead of using a ramp so I started my trip causing pain going up steps. Also they don't allow purses much bigger than the size of your hand so I had to leave everything including vital medications in my vehicle parked too far to be accessible to me without causing pain. Walking around with a cane is dicey as I had several near falls from people tripping my cane or bumping into me. I spent $140 for myself and my child, I was told the gift card could be used on food and drinks and the arcade. However after 3 hours there I tried to buy food and drinks and was refused and told after waiting in a long line to go to customer service for them to fix my card. Customer service refused to fix the issue and told me I could sell back my $50 card for $10 cash!!! That wasn't enough to cover drinks and a fry when I was trying to order us dinner! If you're handicap don't expect any help. I asked two people how to find the elevator only to be brushed off and told to find someone else. For my $140 my child and I got to ride on 4 rides and that was it because each line was a wait of 20+ minutes! And we had to leave to be able to go home and eat since they refused to fix my card! Overall a fun place for kids. When it was time to eat I ended up in front of the Wing Truck. I travel all over the world weekly and when I tell you the girl working the wing truck was the most unpleasant person I've come across in a very long time, I mean it and that's saying a lot considering the amount of people I come across on the weekly basis. I greeted her and she just stared at me with such a nasty look on her face and waited for me to speak in all things. It was an awkward and uncomfortable exchange. So much so that when she walked away to prepare my food, I hollered out that I'd changed my mind and thanked her for her....time. I did not want this horrible girl preparing my food. No. Thanks. I walked over to the taco truck instead and the girl working there was much more pleasant and I told her so. The girl at the wing truck has no business working with the public. She clearly doesn't understand what it is to be professional. I can't imagine what it's like to work with this crowd on the daily basis but most of the people here handle it well.
