We have frequented Emagine Macomb since they opened. We enjoy the reclining leather seats with heaters and selection of hot food and beverages. They always have a drink of the day, wonderful rotating selection of beer/cider on tap and make some pretty decent long islands! If you're looking for a non alcoholic beverage they have those too. Staff!!! My husband and I went to an evening show . There wasn't any staff anywhere . We could have walked into any movie theater we wanted. We had our tickets on my phone. However, this explains why during our movie several groups of teenagers came and went into the theater, sitting down in our row. Boys coming in to pick up girls, c'mon! (We were sitting in the main row where people walk-never again.) It was distracting and annoying. When we left the movie, the bar and concession stand was closed with one young man left to sweep around the area. Meanwhile, there is the group of teenagers loitering and filling up on sodas. Another group loitering at the door. Where is management? The poor kid sweeping isn't going to tell them to leave. He's got to deal with all of the overflowing garbages. We debated on which theatre to see our movie. I did like my movie and it's close to home (that's why it gets any stars at all) but forget it! It's not worth it unless they get some staff involvement. read more

Emagine is very close to us so we frequent this spot often. On Tuesday members get a free small popcorn so we try to go on Tuesday. We had plans to go with our kids and my nieces and nephew. We were in a panic because it was hard to get seats for such a large group. But we were determined to see Spider-Man. The funny thing was only three of us hadn't seen it yet! You know it's a good movie when people are willing to watch a second time within a couple of weeks! This theatre has convenient parking. It is always clean. There are areas to sit and chat before your movie so if you get there early you can still enjoy yourself. There is a bar area as well. Pre covid we would go a little early and hang at the bar for a drink. But now it's stricter with the social distancing. I recommend using the app to get your tickets. It's easy and convenient. No lines. There is an area to get food. They have pizza. Nachos, chicken tenders, and other types of delicious and easy to eat food. You put your order in and they bring it to your seat (remember cash to tip). You can choose between regular and flavored popcorn. The line is really long but it goes super quick. You get your popcorn and then get into a second line to pay. As I said it's much faster than it looks. You self serve your drinks and refills are free. If you are a rewards member you can get free items or even free tickets. When you go to your seat there is no ticket attendant. There are always rude people who show up late and disrupt everything. Look at your tickets. Know your seat. Sit in that seat. It's really not difficult. But people sit somewhere else and then it's an issue. The seats are very comfortable and recliner. We bring blankets and get really comfortable. I have been known to fall asleep in there. One time we both fell asleep during suicide squad and the staff had to wake us. Hah. So embarrassing! Oh, there are also restaurants nearby depending on what you're looking for. Olga's is directly across the street. Barleycorns is a bit more of a nicer place where you would bring a date. 900 degrees is amazing but more upscale and pricey. Art and Jake's is a block away on 23 Mile and a casual sports bar. My sisters really wanted to see this new movie that came out, and Emagine was the only one that had a time that worked best for us all. I have not been to a Emagine theatre in a long time because there are two MJR locations closer than me. Let me just say I was impressed. I did not know a movie theatre could look so classy and elegant. They had the tile floor, piano, beautiful seating, and bar. Even the food area was cool because you could have them mix whatever you wanted. We got drinks too and they tasted amazing and fresh. They had the perfect amount of syrup and carbonation. Also the really cool part was my sister ordered the pretzels, which I havent had since MJR ruined mine 3 times in a row. They brought them to her in the theatre!! How crazy is that? They were so so so good and I wanted to get some so bad to be honest but the movie was starting. I will definitely get them next time. The movie theatre had those nice and comfortable recliners too and it was super clean. There was limited seating, per covid regulations and safety. I really enjoyed this theatre a lot and the experience was great. My husband and I will definitely come back in to see another movie. read more

It, as any who has gone to see a movie at Emagine knows, was founded in Michigan (Clarkston!) by CEO & chairman Paul Glantz! (He welcomes you to Emagine before every movie plays!) It has now expanded its locations throughout all of Michigan and the Midwest, and I couldn't be more proud of this little company that could! Emagine is focused on the customer's experience firstly and is truly everything you're looking for in a movie theater: reserved seating, chairs that RECLINE, ARE ROOMY, AND HEAT UP (if you want!), concessions delivered straight to your seat, a bar to purchase alcohol from, IMAX screens (they're called EMAX here!), $5 movie Tuesdays (with free popcorn if you enroll in their FREE loyalty program), and that's just to name a few! If you live anywhere within the metro Detroit area, there is probably an Emagine located not too far away from you. If that's the case then trust me, it's worth the drive. I average watching 70 movies a year in theaters, and I almost exclusively only watch them at Emagine because they are just that great. You will never have a better movie-going experience than when you're at Emagine Entertainment! Emagine Macomb is my least frequented Emagine theater near me, but I will see the occasional movie here if either I'm in the area or find that I was late to watching a movie and it's not playing at any of the other Emagine's other than this one. It's still just as wonderful and modernly built/staged as all the other Emagine's, with its own interesting style of getting concessions that's very streamlined that I have yet to see rolled out to other Emagine theaters. I rarely go to the movies anymore simply because the 'movie stars' and their holier-than-though pontificating have turned me off big time. Mom wanted to get out and see a movie so we came to Emagine Macomb. I will say that the ambiance and quality of service here really go a long way in making the movie going experience very enjoyable. There are pretty fireplaces, lots of room to sit in the bar and lobby area. There is a wide selection both at the bar and at the food section. The actual movie pit has a huge, crystal clear screen with massive, comfy chairs that recline and let your feet rest high. Some of the seats will drive you nuts as the electronics no longer work but overall the seats are very, very comfortable . I like that the cup holders are insulated so your drink stays either hot or cold...nice touch Emagine! The ladies restroom was very spacious, clean and the lobby area was so pretty. I love the small touches that make you feel glad that you got out and went somewhere nice. read more

We have been to Emagine multiple times! We enjoy the overall cleanliness of the theater and the recliners of course. The smaller size of this Emagine is enjoyable, more personal. We like grabbing a drink at the bar, a bite in the snack line, or ordering food right from our seats. The last time we were here, we ordered a bottle of wine brought to our seats! Wine and popcorn...delish! lol On Sunday, we ventured out to the show for an early afternoon movie. Surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all. We almost had the entire theater to ourselves, which we enjoyed ;) We ended up seeing Bad Boys; it was hilarious. Overall, this is one of my favorite theaters. read more

Someone pointed out the ticket machines after we stood in a line that we thought (erroneously) was the purchase line. So back to there to get tickets. I love this movie theater and really it's the only place we go. I like that Emagine is updating the seats but the seats are basically the same. With minor changes like the current food trays don't fit and there is only one button to recline the seat. The real reason for the two stars is because of the food delivery system has been extremely flawed for my family and I for the last 3 movies we have gone to. I'm not talking 3 movies spaced out for six months, I'm talking about last month and a half. We order our food as soon as we get our tickets, get our popcorn and the rest of the movie snacks then go directly to our seats. I don't know about you but if they are going to deliver my food to my seat then I want it before the movie starts. We usually get to the theater about 25 minutes before the movie starts. I shouldn't have to go to the kitchen and ask where our food is when I watch other food come in after ours was ordered. Typically our order is chicken tenders and pretzels. read more

I come here very often. The food was absolutely terrible. The nachos had barely any meat on them. The pizza tasted overly frozen. There were 7 of us and they had never been to this theater. I bragged about how good the food was compared to the usual movie theater food. They don't have enough black trays so we ate on our laps and they also forgot orders when bringing our food. The experience wasn't up to par and it's was very disappointing. I might have to rethink my affinity for this location. read more

This is our preferred movie theater. It is close to home and an all around good experience. Remember the days of getting to the show so early to get a seat? No more wasting time. You can pre-order your tickets online and pick your seats ahead of time. Also if you join the rewards program you will occasionally get a free popcorn or movie ticket. The place is always clean and the staff are friendly. They even have pizza and other hot items at the concession stands that they will deliver to your seats. The quality of this theatre has definitely fallen by the wayside. I can get past the popcorn not being as good, or hike in concession prices (seriously look at your receipt next time you go almost $7 for a bag of candy, $7 for a pop, etc..), but I am struggling to get over last time I went someone was on their phone during the film, told the usher, nothing done and this time someone was sitting in my seat that did not purchase tickets and the manager, Abby, basically let them stay and relocated me. The increase in prices and lack of care give this theatre a double negative. Seriously need to consider paying, hiring and training better more experienced staff. Or at least hire employees that pretend to care! The entire movie experience is ruined by improper staffing. read more

How can you not love emagine?! They offer great prices, a great theater environment and great food/concession selection. They have a loyalty program, so if you're an avid movie-goer, before you know it you'll have a free movie ticket waiting for you. Facility is always very clean. When you order meals they will bring it to your seat in the theater. They also offer a few healthier snack and meal options. The reclining seats are a definite plus when watching movies. I always feel so comfortable watching movies here. Let's not forget about the bar...which they have a pretty good selection of liquor, for being at the movies. Very disappointed. I have several gift cards to Emagine, but when I tried to buy tickets in the lobby, the card reader could not read my gift cards. The theater was busy, the bartender was making drinks, and there was a long long line at concessions, but there was not one employee helping with ticket sales in the front of the building. There were many self-service ticket machines where there should have been employees selling tickets. There was no one around to ask for help. Another customer asked me for help when she purchased her ticket using a credit card. I was frustrated that simply purchasing a ticket was so difficult and I left the theater without seeing the movie. If I could give this theater no stars, I would. read more

The premier theater experience in Macomb. Emagine has quickly become my favorite theater in the area. Prices are on point with any other theater in the area. Staff is friendly, prompt and attentive. They have a nice lobby bar and hot foods like pizza, pretzels, chicken, etc that can be ordered and delivered directly to your seat. They also have fresh in theater made popcorn, caramel corn and cheese corn which are all great. The seats are power reclining with heated function as well which is - very nice touch. The entire theater is clean & I've even seen staff clean the recliners after each movie; thank you for that! The bar is nice and drinks are pretty good.
