Never any lanes open, even when you can see every lane in the place open?? Called ahead today to make sure they had open bowling and was assured they did. When is Astro Lane going up for auction or sale? Since the last post nothing has improved for the league bowler, lanes are still dirty and inconsistent in lane conditions, nothing a bowler is looking for in competition. One week, little oil/conditioner to the next week, flooded lanes, maybe this equates to league pattern to a sport pattern. You can watch pins slide on the back decking 4" to 6" wow..... All can be resolved if management took the time reviewing maintenance records from the mechanics or track how many times the mechanic need to fix something. In a crystal ball, if the lanes are managed poorly folks will find other establishments to go to, including open, leagues, schools and maybe tournaments, wake up! It seems the only thing going for itself is $2.00 games Monday and Tuesday from 3:00pm, and as others pointed out the food and bar are staffed well. read more

The people were so darn kind and able to get us a lane right away! Bowled and ordered food!! There were so many options! And then finished the night with their arcade games! 10/10 will be back! Mostly because of how nice everyone was! But also because it was such a great time! read more

Horrible. They had us at a lane that did not work. They called for maintenance to fix the lane and expected us to wait... they had several lanes open for bowling. We finally got another lane after requesting we be moved. I won't be returning ever.... read more

This place is unbelievable. The bowling alley is very hectic and not well taken care of by staff. They're restrooms are broken as well. The staff was misleading us on the phone and told us we could bowl for a birthday party at a certain time and then didn't let us bowl until 2 hours later. Mind you there was 10 lanes open and all we needed was 2. The staff yelled at us multiple times and yelled at our kids. Not saying anything but... we are middle eastern and black... just saying. read more

A semi- outdated bowling alley. Seems to be a dying sport, as so many lanes have closed recently. Most of the staff are very friendly, Katie, the Monday night waitress is especially efficient- making sure drinks are never empty and always cleared off the tables. I went here with a group of 14 and had a great time! The prices were pretty good to begin our evening. Purchased some shoes and two games and it was nice to not stick my feet in some warm shoes like at some places because it was pretty busy because it was a Friday night. Selecting a ball was a bit difficult because they didn't have as many of the larger sizes as I thought they would. Nonetheless, the lanes and scoring system was 100% accurate. I love Astro Lanes! This is one of my favorite bowling alleys. There's nothing really special that sets it apart, but the prices are some of the most competitive for bowling that you can find ($5 all you can bowl for 3 hours on thursdays!). After 11 p.m. on weekends they do glow bowling, which really gets you into the mood even if you come with a "I don't really feel like bowling" attitude. They play your average, generic heard-it-on-the-radio-a-gajillion-times music, but they don't play it obnoxiously loud, so it doesn't distract from having a good time. Your best bet is to take the whole family or a bunch of friends, as the group prices are really where it's at. read more

My friends and I meet up every other Wednesday to bowl. We wanted to try a new place so I did some research and saw that Astro Lanes had open bowling on Wednesdays. Great! Nope! We pulled up and could barely find a parking spot in the pot-hole filled parking lot. When we got in there, it was PACKED and we were informed that no lanes would be available for 2 hours (at 9:30). I'm not really familiar with the bowling world so I never thought that on a Wednesday evening, a bolwing alley would be SOLD out. Such a bummer! They should put a warning on their website that you need to reserve lanes, even for open bowling. I don't really have any desire to go back here - I think we'll stick with Madison Park Bowl. read more

I mean, it's a bowling alley. I think every bowling alley I've ever been to has been about the same. I believe on a Friday night I played 3 games with shoes for about $10-11. Oh, the cheese fries were good. One tip is that is is set back from John R. so as a note it is just north of the Best Buy. Be prepared so you don't go flying by. read more

Brought my new bowling ball here recently to get it drilled and I couldn't be happier. Kerry in the pro shop was friendly and professional and knows what he is talking about. If you are looking for a pro shop to ask questions, get your bowling ball serviced or just talk bowling...look no further. As for the lanes; lots of lanes available. Announcement made we must wear masks. However walked in bar to get drink, bartender no mask. Talked to supervisor she said that little bit of plastic she did not have to wear one behind the bar. She is breathing on my drink and that plastic doesn't protect me. So sad I have to follow rules but bartender does not. read more

Came here a few weeks ago with some friends for an easy night out. As with most bowling alleys, the outside isn't some architectural masterpiece, but the interior was decently kept up and looked recently renovated. It's cheap enough. I think everyone paid $10 - $2 deposit you get back for returning your shoes for 3 games. Not bad at all. Beer was cheap as well. I give the whole bowling experience 5 stars because you don't smell like an ashtray coming out of the place. I can care less if one smokes or not, but it is always nice not having every article of clothing and hair smell like it after. As Dave S. said, it's tucked waaaaay back in off of John R and is a very unassuming building being next to the brightly lit Best Buy. I nearly passed it on my first visit. read more

I had the opportunity to Karaoke Host and DJ inside the Stadium Lounge. The atmosphere was great. The drinks was priced right and we had a great time. Jenna was so nice to the group and made us all feel very welcome. Only wish the food court could have stayed open a little later. read more

Went here tonight and had a terrible experience lane kept shutting down on me and everything

I went there on a Tuesday afternoon/evening a little after 5 pm. I was one of 5 people in the building, the lady behind the counter took 10 minutes to even walk up to the counter. I paid for 3 games, she told me it would be $4.50, I gave her $5 and didn't get any change (Games are listed at $1.75 after 5pm, she apparently doesn't know how to tell time and may have charged me an hourly rate, though, did not let me bowl a full hour) - she informed me that there was a league later that night and if the guy oiling the lanes got down to where I would be (lane 2) that I would not be able to bowl anymore games (not a big deal). I paid for 3 games and they shut everything off before I was done with my 3rd game! I was in the 9th frame, the employee oiling the lanes was no where near me, so why did I get shut off?!?! I usually do not write reviews for anything, but this annoyed me beyond belief. I will not be going back to this place ever again. read more

I have been bowling here ever since they opened. I bowl on Tuesday in a senior league & on Friday for 9 pin no tap. Friday`s is drop in, you bowl for yourself & they pay first & second place for highest series. The people that work there are great & friendly. I have tried other bowling ally`s & they just don`t measure up to Astro Lanes. read more

I went there tonight with my family. The lane next to us was very rowdy swearing and chucking balls down the lane like baseballs the staff walked by a few times and didn't do anything. After we finished bowling my brothers and I played some of the arcade games. I won a pair of Beats by Dre headphones. The game did not release them even though the platform lowered for the prize to drop the lights started flashing and the music changed. I told the staff and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I won't be returning with my family after tonight if this how business is usually run. read more
