I am so disappointed with the tent we rented from Perrys. I am not one that normally writes bad reviews but this experience was so awful I felt i needed to share. We used, Perry for an event we had right down the street from their shop so we thought help a local business and have someone close by for issues. We ordered one 20' x 40' tent and string lighting for the space. What we were given was 2 20' x 20' tents and two strands of string lights, one strand per tent i guess. The woman on the phone was so nice and friendly and really helpful. I assumed that she would provide enough lighting to go under the tents that were installed. Assuming I was getting one 20' x 40' i would have thought at least 4 strands of lights were needed. We also were extremely disappointed that they decided to do 2 20' x 20' tents without telling us because we were using it for a golf simulator and needed the height for the swinging of the clubs.
When the tents got delivered some, what looked like teenagers in mismatched outfits showed up to deliver and install the tent. No Perry shirts or logos to indicate where they came from. (fancy events, they do not look professional) The team didn't talk to anyone on site and just started setting up the tent, they were using a wooden crate to stand on to hang up string lights, and they didn't even bother to cut the zip ties off, the entire experience was already off to a terrible start. Once the installation was complete, the sides were left hanging sideways and not velcroed together in any sort of nice fashion, the tent was extremely dirty, and they had what the called a "rain gutter" that dumped water if it rained directly into the tent. Being that we were housing $20k worth of AV equipment underneath the tent, water pouring directly into it was not ideal.
When we called to fix the issue a man came out with a container of paint and tried to seal up all the holes that were in the tent that were also leaking in several different areas. The rain finally stopped 20 mins before our event so it wasn't an issue at that moment but keeping all of the water out of the tent was a challenge. The most disappointing thing was there was no offer for a discount or any compensation, they apparently just allow you to rent a tent for rain with a bunch of holes and a rain gutter that will dump water all over your guests.
Really just truly disappointed in the entire experience. Next year we will definitely be using Bloomfield Party Rentals instead. Just so disappointing. read more
