She was snappy with the kids on the bus about which games they could play. Instead of communicating she thought my foot was on her sofa she walked up and grabbed the bottom of my shoe twice before telling me what was going on. No liquids were on allowed on the bus and instead of verbally saying that she pointed to a sign. Despite her attitude the children did enjoy themselves. We go the package that included a foam party. The gentleman that did the foam was very nice. For the amount I spent I expected better customer service, I would not book again due to her demeanor but I am not here to deter business. We didn't pass the first time but did manage to escape the second time with just minutes to spare! I've been to other escape rooms before, and the setup, puzzles, and themes at Breakout are truly the best. You'll feel like you're actually in the scenario you're trying to escape from, and the pressure of time ticking away and the inevitable excitement of your allies really add to the hour-long adrenaline rush! Our gamemaster yesterday was Mary. She was such a delight!!! My team had 11 people, all beginners and mostly first-timers. She gave us a fun-filled overview, and just the right number of hints at the right time to ensure we were challenged up until the very end. Regardless of whether you win or lose, you and your allies will have an epic experience! If you're looking to try escape rooms for the first time, look no further! Bring your friends, family, and coworkers--the more, the merrier (up to 10, 12, or 14 depending on theme). After all, you're gonna need a good mix of creativity and skills to escape... Good luck!!!

My daughters were in classes for a year and could not return due to a medical condition. They put my money into a credit, had their teenage receptionist call and hang up on me because I wanted to speak to a manager and still would not refund my money. It's been two years with terrible communication from their end. Terrible policies, even worse customer service. High turn over and terrible attitudes. Its been two years and they still will not give me my money back. Go somewhere else, the sterling heights location is awful and their operations manager is insulting. Absolutely terrible experience with Sterling Gymnastics. I signed my daughter up mid-month and paid…read morefor the remainder of June, which included two makeup credits. The day of her second class, they called asking for July payment, which I paid right away. Only after taking my money did they inform me (eight hours later) that her class time would be changing the next week. The new time didn't work for us, and the only alternatives were on completely different days. When I asked for options, the so-called manager called back and gave me two days to use the makeup classes or lose them. Two days, for classes I already paid for. When I asked for a little grace since I had just found out about the change, she refused and condescendingly reminded me that she "didn't have to" refund me for July, a payment I had made less than 24 hours earlier before being told about the schedule change. Meanwhile, my husband took our daughter to class the same day we were told about the change, and no one said a word to him in person. I paid $250 for two classes, got zero flexibility, and was made to feel like I should be grateful for a partial refund they never should have taken in the first place. They clearly care more about squeezing every dollar out of parents than providing good communication or customer service. Completely unprofessional and borderline scammy. Beware. IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: Your response is a perfect example of the problem. You claim to "do your best," but the facts tell a different story. You asked for payment before disclosing a major schedule change, then gave us just two days to use makeup tokens for classes we had already paid for, all while refusing any flexibility when I requested a simple extension. Offering a refund after collecting money under false pretenses is not a favor, it is damage control. You also did not offer to save the makeup tokens for future use. I specifically asked for that and was told no. And no one mentioned a word to my husband in person during the next class, which shows how poorly communication is handled across your team. Parents deserve transparency and respect, not excuses after the fact. I paid $250 for two classes, received no real options, and was treated like I should be grateful just to not lose more money. This experience was not just disappointing, it felt exploitative.
